Our Scoreboard rounds up the key Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 8 numbers from Saturday’s matches.
The goals, assists, defensive contributions (DefCon) and bonus point summaries are from our new Match Centre.
The tables of shots, chances created and expected goals (xG) are official Opta data taken from our Members Area.
Alonso asked about Pedro and FPL in his post-match presser 😀
https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/every-word-xabi-alonso-said-34813634
"A lot of people knew he was out of the game before the match because of the Fantasy Premier League and a lot of families of Chelsea players had taken him out of the team, does that bother you?"
"No I am not into the fantasy team thing so I didn't know that."
*was asked
Good job I don't write for a living
In fairness he should be sacked for not updating FPL players. Who does that Alonso chap think he is?
I have Verb, DeCuyper, Gomez vs. Haaland, Cherki
And Cala, Konsa ( LIV )
JP, Thomas & DCL are flagged + MGW is shite
Shall I ?
A ) WC
B ) FH
C ) Roll and use 1 FT ?
Rest of team is :
Dubravka
Davis
Barnes Rogers
I’m gonna FH. Can’t think when there would be a better time to do it
Maybe when the LIV-BHA game will be postponed to GW15 or GW16?
How am I going to explain to my son in a few years how I had three Chelsea players in GW8 of the 26/27 season and somehow ended up with 0 points?
Don’t tell him, the shame will be hard to bear. Better off to tell lies and say you triple captained Jackson, that’s what I’m doing anyway.
At this point, would you rather sell Wissa (EVE) for Jackson, or King (avl) for Manzambi
King
Wisaa
Wissa
Wissa probably
Hi all. Whats to do? Got exact cash to do Wissa to Jackson before he rises in price tonight. Injury to J Pedro is pushing me to do it so I can bench him next week. 3FT 0.5m ITB.
Raya
Calafiori Konsa Muhremovic
Mbuemo Palmer Rogers Gross Tavernier
Haaland J Pedro
4m Wissa De Cuyper Egan
DCL > Jackson
Yay or nay?
Yes
Pedro > Jackson may be the move if he's out for a while.
This
This what?
Thoughts on Belloumi? I had him for a few weeks and he subbed on for me with a goal which was nice. But not sure about him.
Think he was maybe a mistake and I should probably switch him out for Manzambi in the near future.
Belloumi has done well, but he has very low XG, also, in the championship last season, I think he only scored 2 goals. So it seems like he is over-performing big time. He is also a big minutes risk.
He is in my xi this week and will play for me against Ipswich next week. But if he blanks, he surely has to go. He is just bench player, but I still have FH and need reliable players, especially with December fixtures coming up.
An option, but better ones ahead of him.
This conversation could have happened entirely independently of anyone else
Pedro a sell if out until IB?
Hopefully, would make things more interesting.
IB? Another one? I thought the recent extra long one was condensing two into one. Ah well…
There was 3 previously I think.
IB after 2 GWs
If you could make a dream front 8 with unlimited budget right now in fpl, who would be in that front 8?
Usually it would be easy but there’s not much options atm
Hmm, not sure how affordable it is. But it would be this:
Haaland - Isak - Jackson (Isak assuming Pedro is out for a while)
Mbeumo - Manzambi - Rogers - Schade? - Gross?
Not sure how long Schade and Gross will keep it up is my concern though. But at the moment, you would be insane to leave them out. At least u have rotation options.
Jesus wept: with unlimited budget
Mbeumo - Rogers - Cherki - Kroupi - Hinshelwood
Haaland - Isak - Jackson
Couldn’t have guessed this - midfield of Saka / Palmer / Rogers / Cherki - and total of zero from 4….!!
Is there a chance Jackson plays Bouremouth, misses Fulham, plays Barca, plays Man U
(He’s missing something, we just don’t know which one/two)
Yes but more likely to miss Bou imo
Is konsa going to keep his place or will it go now saliba is presumably back?
Will go but Arsenal won’t rush Saliba back now
Saliba isn't back yet and will probably (certainly imo) be eased in. Konsa isn't a problem until he is. We will get a warning sign.
Why is Calafiori flagged (reposted after originally on wrong thread)
Mikel Arteta on Riccardo Calafiori's late issue:
"Yeah. It wasn't that much to change those 2 from positions. It was because he had a slight issue. We don't know what it is. It seems something very small, but yeah, he was cautious of that."
Ugh, this fixture congestion for Villa is offputting. Midweek EFL match away to Bournemouth, then Barcelona away three days after Fulham next GW.
Should we be concerned with Jackson's (and Manzambi's minutes)?
That's the issue. Jackson vs Fulham is still tempting. I fear that Pedro has issue with same knee and might be a sell now. My original plan was to sell Gvardiol to raise funds, but I think I will just jump on the Jackson train and ditch Pedro. O'reilly won't be starting any time soon, I believe.
I like the idea of doing Hall > Gabriel next GW. What to do?
A. DCL > Jackson tonight (only 0 ITB for that transfer if don't do it tonight)
B. Pedro > Jackson (sounds like could be out for a while)
C. Wait for more news.
B

Califiori hip injury!!
What the hell??
Ahh that's no stress! My grandad has a bad hip... he's up n about all the time.
Ah ok good to know.
Subbed on at 68th minute, his minutes were being managed.
Why didn’t Arteta play Hincapie instead?
Walie & Semenyo - Jackson & ???
Have Gross, Palmer, Schade, Tav
Do Pedro ➡ Jackson now or wait for more news?
Feel Pedro won’t be back before GW 11 reading thbuzz on twitter.
Thoughts?
I think I will just do it. Avl has a lof games though, but Fulham is tempting.
Apologies should understand this by now but I bought Garcia at 6.0 (6.1 now). He’s due to drop tonight, will my selling price drop or stay the same?
Stay at 6.0
Thanks!
Early thoughts here guys?
Absolute car crash of a Gameweek on 14 damn points! Shocking! First bad GW of the season. Always gonna happen.
Verbruggen
Calafiori - Muharemovic - Hall
Odegaard - Palmer - MGW - Rogers - Gross
Pedro - Haaland

Trying to not be too reactionary but was considering:
Odegaard + Barry > Tavernier + Jackson
Still leaves me with a slight benching headache but just exploring what some opinions may be here, just a horrendous GW like many I’m sure.
Cheers!
Think the moves are ok but would wait for news on Pedro and Calafiori
Cheers bud yeah think I will do, I’m in no real rush cash wise to afford Jackson and co
Don't know whether to be happy or sad...
Jackson, Konsa, Leno
but Palmer captain...
I’d be dancing naked if I had those
Palmer vice instead of Haaland cost me 9 points. What a disaster.
Unlucky. I never vice a player from the same team as my cap just incase the fixture gets postponed for any reason. The Chelsea game obviously wasn't postponed, but that reasoning would have saved you regardless.
I like this logic, will do this in future.
🙂 nice name lol
Captained Pedro and forgot to take the VC off Gross. Surely he can't be worse than Palmer...
Haha in the same boat!
Could get lucky I suppose
If he can do it against Arsenal..
If getting one - Jackson or Manzambi?
Jackson cause most forwards are useless
Anyone looking to get ahead of a unlikey but potential 'Spurs Bangwagon'. Fixture look pretty good..?
Got Van Hecke already, sadly 3rd on bench this week.
Not really interested in their attack. Madison would be the only one but constantly getting injured.
Yeah, an injury free Maddy would be great.
I have Semenyo so trying to rule out, on in, Kudus.. or Tel.
Not interested in attackers. But I have some transfers so just got Kinsky in. Mainly for future BB, but I may as well play him this week over Raya instead of triple Arse at the back.
I still have Kinsky - albeit on the bench
Went wacko and got Jacko in to beat the rise.
Pedro and his dodgy knee are gone.
Is it his knee?
Yes, ACL and Medial injury keeps reoccurring.
Had knee injury they always flare up
Jackson or DCL for Wissa. Doing the move tonight
Wouldn't buy DCL as he's a potential doubt for the best match?
I'm done with Palmer. No patience anymore. Sell.
I’d sell but there’s nobody else at a premium or anything jumping out at me, be typical for him to start scoring once getting rid as well, so annoying the situation with him
Me too. Plenty of mid priced mids doing well.
Might FH this week, gives an extra week for news on Calafiori, Pedro, skips Palmer out too. Got 3FT’s so will give me 4FT’s I think to sort whatever problems there are.
You'll still have 3fts if you free hit
17 years lol
Theres at least 2 things wrong in ur post...
Lol, this.
Van Hecke or Bogle?
Van Hecke, but he seems a bit over-priced to me.
