The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

The fourth round draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, has been made today as promised, and can be viewed right here. Don’t get used to the luxury of almost two days notice however, as the next three gameweek’s are in quick succession. Survive that and your into the quarter-finals…

A look at round four first though, and first out of the hat is the tie between King Eric and Roger, with the latter holding a slender four point lead overall.

Last weeks top-scorer, and 62nd in the world, Ann_der_roo has top 4k opponent the Mozmeister. Ann_der_roo will be hoping to avoid going the way of our previous top-scorers, who have both already bitten the dust.

FFS Cup I champ donnellyc (sitting a modest 180k in the world) will once again be thanking the stars with a seemingly easy tie against 519,175th overall Manif.

Scout representative Granville will also be confident in winning his tie against Chris81, who is perhaps lucky to still be in the tournament after two red arrows on the bounce.

Elsewhere, Mark’s conqueror tippmann is still going strong and he faces livnal, Soup or Man has a tricky away tie against camdiggy, and Spooney takes on the infamous bill badger.

All ties to be played over GW11. As always the top-scorer in the round will receive a free £25 bet courtesy of sponsors Paddy Power.

Good luck to all 64 fantasy managers battling it out this weekend.

Am also tempted by getting a Bolton player (like Lee) just in case Ethers does drop before I get Bale... problem is Bolton although they have good fixtures, are pretty poor

Wth? Heskey red flagged, Knee injury in training, what a dufus, time to get rid. He would have been alright if he didn't go and get himself Bloomin injured.

Lost on bottom of pervious page...Opinion on 2 starters and 1st Sub from Bosingwa, Richards, N’Zog and Carroll.

    Swaying towards Richards Carroll (N’Zog)

Can’t see Bos starting especially with Ivanovic’s midweek return

    What’s everyone think?

Well, I have Heskey, out for a month (Real inspired transfer that was), who is 5.7, Obinna is 5.5 and with the extra 0.2 if any of my mids are confirmed out for a few weeks I can get Arteta in.

Well, I never! I didn't know that either. I always thought you had to have 3 mids minimum.

Not sure i'd want to play all 5 of my defenders this week (or any week for that matter!)

A few years back that was a formation I used a hell of a lot.

      Massive defence
      Ronaldo & Lampard
Defoe, Torres and someone, can't think who.

It was quite effective when the defences were on top form.

who would you start from my team? i’m having real problems deciding formation and who to start/bench. currently…

    foster
    cole, elmo, jones, o’shea
    vdv, adam, nani, fabs, nasri
    drogs

    bench: jaask, carroll, elmander, coleman

*note: my cup opponent has carroll/coleman, but no drogs/vdv

    thanks in advance lads/ladies.

      Foster and ashley are guaranteed..
personally i think o'shea will play since rafael played last week and played CL.. so i think o'shea will probably play..
ur only doubts are nani for sure and vdv is unknown so far..

my opinion is heres how you're team should be:
      Foster
      Cole Elmo Jones Oshea
      Adam Fabs Nasri VDV
      Drogba Elmander

your sub priorty incase vdv doesnt play should be coleman first and incase if it happened and coleman didnt play for any reason carroll will go instead..
I don't cheer alot for new castle to do somethng this week but atleast minimum he'll get you your 2points.. keeping in mind that he's good in the air and playing against arsenal which are not that known in handling air balls.
      Hope it helps..

thanks for the input. my only concern is also for the cup that my opponent has both cole/carroll- so i'm thinking about playing them so that i don't open myself up for him beating me w/players that i had too, but simply chose not to play. i wanna start nani in there just in case, but it's likely he won't play, so in that case are you saying elmander first off the bench, then carroll, then coleman?

You have a few doubts (VDV/Fabs/Nani) and a few rotation risks (Bosingwa and O'Shea) so it is difficult to say who you should take out. I think O'Shea will play, and Bosingwa having missed out midweek you would think he will play too, Konchesky will play for Liverpool so where you have a guaranteed started there is no point taking him out with other injuries/doubts.

I would wait for next week to make any moves, at which point you can either do O'Shea/Bosingwa OUT Alex/Jagielka IN

    Foster
    A.Cole Coleman Elmo
    Park
    Drogba Obinna Carroll

And that is after making two transfers, perhaps this week isn't the best to get rid of a player who is actually, well playing.

I think so, Ireland seems to be out of favour with the manager, Houl said he had a lot more work to do!

They only have one fit striker at the moment in Carew, hesky got injured so i think Carew will play up front with Young playing behind him, DOwning and Albrighton on the wings and then Reo-coker and Ireland/Sidwell.

It just causes so much damage elsewhere. He would have to be scoring 12 every week to make up what you lose on two others.

Alright.. Rugby time now, I can forget about FF for a bit, then an Indian to come home too and hopefully a podcast.

Too much rugby in one day though....

Bloomin P.E rugby, ok that is easy, running through Nerds. School rugby, 2 hours worth, and now club rugby. Almost 5 Frickin hours of it.

Konchesky v Chelsea or Tamas v Man City (maybe Tevez-less) as my 3rd DEF this GW? I have Salcido and Elmo playing and Williamson on the bench. I'm leaning towards Tamas, any thoughts?

Note - I'm planning Tamas in for Jara and Ferguson in for Routledge to cover injuries etc.

    thanks

Cheers Flynn, I'll think I'll chance him. I just dont fancy Liverpool against Chelsea and Konchesky's going out of my team as soon as I can without a points hit.

I know slot of people are complaining about all the injuries and rotation but this has really thrown thecat amongst the pigeons. Only those that keep their heads will come out of this with anything to shout about.

A colleague of mine sold Nani and Tevez earlier this week so I sent across the reports they may still be playing and they have transferred them back in, brilliant stuff - panic everywhere!

Haven't looked at the odds yet, but if anyone's looking for a rugby bet, Ireland will beat South Africa on Saturday...

so nani might play after all..still have doubts over vdv and fabs even though i think fabs will play and vdv will get some minutes.

    nani>arteta

    or

    vdv>bale

    or

jara>alex or cashley (takes all my cash..)

i cant see how the first 2 are good in the long run. Nani will be fit soon, at the wkend or sooner. Bale hasnt turned up in the league in terms of FF. A COle is by far the best defender on the game, if you can afford him. hope this helps

        yes it does help....
but they would be for the next 3 gameweeks which are in the space of 10 days and i would rather have someone that will play all 3..

tbh most people on the game dont look at fixtures and injuries. its only for hardcore players like us.

really struggling with this, some opinions would be much appreciated!

    nasri or wall-e(walcott)?

not sure of who is going to get the most game time and who is going to keep up the scoring rate?

Nasri has been playing too well to be left out.

I think he will see more EPL action and Walcott will play more CL. Even with Fabs in the line-up Nasri was getting great touches and looks.
