    How valuable is Mahrez moving forward?

    I'm faced with either:

    A) Mahrez + Ighalo + the "best" 4.0 defender (Targett or Saylor)

    B) Albrighton (or Hoolahan) + Deeney + a 4.5 defender (e.g., Francis or Huth)

    I'll never play all five defenders, but I just don't know if Mahrez is worth the downgrades in other areas.

    What say you?

        Thanks. I think I agree. I actually really like Mahrez, but the rate at which he's converting is unsustainable, while Albrighton and Hoolahan actually seem to just as (or more) involved in the final third.

      Nice, not alone :p. Yeah i think everton away isn't a bad fixture but I just get the feeling that they are on the rise as s team and could pose a better challenge to city than chelsea or west brom have. Definitely will get one in before gw 4.

    Just thought I'd put this as an opinion into the Silva vs Yaya debate. Logically I think Silva is the better option, however this is the argument in my head telling me to go Yaya!

    Silva has scored 1 (I know, not according to FPL) and assisted 3 in the first 2 weeks. Looks great just saying that. However, the goal was a lucky deflection and over the 2 games (I have watched both) he hasn't looked like a goal threat, more an assister, which we know is what he's known to do, he only really starting scoring goals last year. Which brings me onto the assists. 2 have been corners headed in by Kompany, is he going to keep getting Kompany heading in his corners? I doubt it. The third was really a scuffed pass to Fernandinho who happened to hit a screamer, again, not always going to happen. I understand that Silva set up a couple of Aguero chances as well as Sterling last week and this would have put my mind at ease, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

    Now, Yaya seemed a constant goal threat in both games and has also shown he can assist, with 1 upfront he has so much license to get forward, I hardly saw a time he wasn't in the box trying to link with Silva and Aguero.

    Someone please prove me wrong to put my mind at ease but to add to that argument you could bring the 1.5 difference....

      I agree with what happened on pitch but FPL points aren't always as kind. That's why players who are awesome like Matic or Schneiderlin aren't top FPL picks..
      I'd say over the season - if his form continues, Silva will be worth the difference

      I've been thinking of singing Silva's praises but you do bring up very good points. Silva gets more bonus points typically, but your points trying to give reasons why silva got lucky are half right. Thing is he's just always around the action, he takes the set pieces and maybe it won't come from company but it could come from somewhere else. I do think only time will tell and for that reason right now the 1.5 price difference could be the single factor ruling yaya to be the better choice. Also I'm feeling a yaya free kick goal soon anyway

    This evening I bring you some absolute nonsense logic which means nothing....

    Last year Costa scored 2 in 2 at the start of the season and got no bonus points. The next 2 games he scored 2 and 3 goals.

    Gomis has scored 2 in 2 with no bonus....
