Hard without seeing the rest of your team, but C seems a good move, or Martial to someone, though I'de be tempted to hold.

In any case, you should hold off until after CL.

Keep Lukaku for GW 11 onwards. I would do Martial to Bony for Norwich and keep him till Kun is back. Martial will be rested sometimes or used OOP.

What is the best choice? I can also downgrade one of my defenders to get 1.5m more to spend on either position

    A) Barkley + 10.5m forward
    B) Lukaku + 8.9m midfielder

    Team now:

    Butland Schmeichel

    Kolarov Bellerin Coleman Cresswell Richards

    Sanchez KdB Mane Payet ????

    Ighalo Vardy ????

The last 3 Sunderland managers (Dick Advocaat, Gus Poyet and Paulo Di Canio) all got their first wins in their second game in charge. All against Newcastle.

This weekend will be Allardyce's second game in charge of Sunderland...

I read this last week, it's really odd - why do Sunderland keep firing managers right before the derby? Is this some elaborate, expensive tactic so that, no matter how bad they are, they always have North East bragging rights?

I'm honestly starting to think it might be! It was the first thing that entered my head when Advocaat left. It was weird enough when it happened twice, four times is taking things too far.

    Hi Everyone,

Using some excel skills I have put all of the fantasy football players actual points into an excel spreadsheet, for Gameweek 1 - 9.

I have also provided statistical information such as goals, assists, clean sheets, yellow/red cards, bonus points and minutes played (Columns R - X).

I have calculated a Value column, which is the last six game weeks divided by the current value of the player (Column Q).

In columns Y - AG I have displayed the actual points again however this time with the cell filled with a colour indicating the fixture difficulty. I have added comments to show the gameweek opponent, as suggested by T_S_O__ (thanks). Likewise Columns AH – AM indicates the fixture difficulty and fixture. I've done this in order to see how a player has performed in varying fixture difficulties.

Columns B to F are the player details. I have tried to colour-code the player information based on the team that they play for, I thought this might be helpful to distinguish between each team.
Column A is an input column, simply input the phrase “MyTeam” and this will enable you to filter out just players in your team, to see how they have performed in the previous weeks. I have also added ⌐■-■ for players you might be watching (its meant to be a pair of glasses).

I have sorted the information based on the total points that the player has received so far. Therefore the highest points at the top and the lowest points at the bottom. Only players with at least a total of one point are included on the report.

    Feedback welcomed!

Going to get one of the following in from next week:

    A) Martial
    B) Pelle
    C) Lukaku

I'm leaning towards Pelle probably. All have nice fixtures, I just think Martial might be rested every now and again and Lukaku is possibly the most frustrating FPL player going.

    Any thoughts?

If you're not looking to get Aguero back once fit, then I'd say he's a decent choice, otherwise, go for a "better value" player so you'll have the funds available to get Aguero.

Hmm, for a 5th mid I wouldn't worry about it too much, you wont be playing him often, but he'll get the odd assist and goal, so you might get lucky with points off the bench if you need him.

What sort of bonkers luck to triple captain Sturridge (with Wijnaldum VC) - only for Studge not to play, and Wij to get 25 (75 as treble VC)

    http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/2200942/event-history/9/

Got this feeling when *I* come to use my triple capt. chip, I'll bang it on a heavy hitter for a double gameweek, only for him to score 4 points (12). 🙁

I did 1.4m to 300k 2 weeks ago. I'm sure others can beat that too.

Oh wow, what score did you get to have a large jump? I did 950k to 150k when Aguero scored his 5 goals. Not ever expecting to repeat that!

Remember for all the preparation and planning there is a big slice of luck needed in the game. I would just like a thin slither for now. 😉

With 3.5m players in FPL, there will probably always be a few who play their triple captain chip and place the armband or vice-captaincy on unfancied players.

It's really the ultimate differential, and usually it doesn't come off. But when it does, that's just the bright side of improbability! 🙂

Any comments on these moves in UCL:

    CR7 > Neymar
    Carvajal > D. Alves
    Coman > Martial
    for -4 ?

    Coman doubtful and not nailed
    Carvajal injured
Real got many injuries so it may influence CR7, Neymar hot form

What to do with this lot?

    1FT 5.3ITB

    Begovic
    Evans Dawson Bellerin
    Payet Mahrez Sanchez KDB
    Martial Pelle Igahlo

    Hennesey/Hoolhan/Kolarov/Nyom

    Igalho > ?
    Kolarov > ?

Slipped down to 7th after another Gomis blank. Livid. 40pts off of the league leader is that too much of a gap, from experience?

Not at all. If he managed to gain a 40 point lead in just 9 weeks, there's still another 29 Gameweeks to go to make that up.

Not sure, but ShelFy is dreadful. They need to play Ki and Siggy if they want to have success. Also, Barrow did nothing. Really poor showing last night.

Chadli injury could make delle alli worthwhile, at least while son is out.

Suspect it could be dembele and dier holding and alli pushed up.

True. I think one of the issues with kane is he's a bit isolated and alli is great at joining in attacks. If it comes to benching alli or lamela it won't automatically be alli.

After selecting the chip, did you go to the button below your squad and click 'Confirm your team', like you do when re-jigging your starting 12?

Yeah imagine that's what I didn't do. Positive thing is that my 2 nearest rivals have used all their chips so bring on the double gameweeks! Massive snow predicted this Chrim so might even work out better I didn't use it.

Still going to keep Gomis after weeks of persevering. If he fails to strike a goal against Villa then he will be gone. Out. Done. Bye. Cya.

I'd get rid of Gomis, had him earlier in season before I realised he's poor, oldish and doesn't like bonus points. Imagine he must be close to getting dropped. Have Ayew myself and planning to rid, Haz also stinking up my team.
