The Manchester derby is arguably the stand out fixture of Gameweek 10 and FantasyBet are covering the match with a £75 guaranteed pot on offer for a £3.30 entry fee.

The Red Devils are unbeaten at Old Trafford this season and could prove a good source of points this week. Among their ranks, the key player we are considering is Juan Mata (8.5m), who has been United’s most consistent performer this season with three league goals and as many assists.

For City, Kevin De Bruyne (10.0m) looks the man to focus on, with Sergio Aguero and David Silva still unavailable. The Belgian has matched Mata’s output in just four league starts and also fired the winner against Sevilla at the Etihad.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are also on our radar for Sunday’s trip to a struggling Bournemouth unit that’s shipped eight goals in the last three. As highlighted in the Weekly Shop article, Christian Eriksen (8.5m) could be the must-have player of the week – the Dane scored a brace in their last away match at Swansea and also has three assists this term.

This Week’s Stake

Daily – With City, United and Spurs players in mind, there’s also a cheap Sunday game, the £75 on offer for a £1.10 fee should represent good value, so I enter a team into that. I also enter the regular Saturday Double-Up game for £3.30 as usual.

Weekly – I enter the Weekly £100 and the Flash freeroll and also go for the grand weekend pot, with £1000 on offer, the generally favourable overlay and a recent narrow miss of the top prize means I’m willing to part with another £5.50 for the chance to win big.

The Bottom Line

A hapless week last time out, with selection favourites Graziano Pelle and Kevin de Bruyne picking up just an assist between them, whilst Gabriel’s illness for Arsenal was also a blow. Wilfried Bony, Diego Costa and Georginio Wijnaldum found their way into some of my teams but a combination of them was required to win big – congratulations goes to DanB, then, who topped the £1000 game with all three.

I feel more differentials are required in future, though striking the balance between popular picks and promising punts is a tricky business. A couple of mid-table victories recuperated £1.10 leaving me on £92.37 ahead of Gameweek 10.

FFScout Picks League

Yabadabadabadu not only has a great username but also topped last week’s Scout Picks league with 104 points, with an impressive five players scoring twelve points or more – Diego Costa (12 points), Jamie Vardy (13) Wilfried Bony (16) Raheem Sterling (19) and Hector Bellerin (12). The Sout Picks accrued 57 points leaving us at 66th – the absence of Bony, Costa, Sterling and Wijnaldum costing us, with lots of high scoring teams around.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected. Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

    Butland
    Toby Bellerin Dawson
    Mahrez KDB Sanchez Payet
    Pelle Martial Vardy

    McCarthy Richards Targett Westwood

Starting XI is ok, but bench is awful, tempted to go Westwood to Ozil and drop Martial to bench esp as Manchester derby this week. Yes No?

Interesting to hear both Mark and Jonty both believe Gomis will be dropped this week. He's been dreadful but I'm not aware Monk has hinted at this, and Eder is hardly any great shakes.

I would do a -4 if I believed it. Not sure what do think...anyone have any thoughts?

    Hazard, Ayew, Sanchez(c), Payet, Mahrez
    Vardy (v), Bony

    Subs: Pelle, Cedric, Gomez

Did I bench correct players ? Captain?

Defense needs some changes. My favorite scheme is to have two top defenders (5-5.5 base priced) and three 4.5 ones.

Current players: Bellerin, Dawson, Cedric, Richards, Gomez

    It would be like:

    Bellerin + Dawson

Ward + Nyom + Moreno (one / two of them play(s))

    Will the combo be weak?

Harry Kane really flying under the radar this GW. I've purchased this week for a punt over the next few GW's before using the WC. Going to chuck him the armband. Will end in tears 🙁
