With the European qualifying now all but put to bed, the limelight can shine back on the domestic front and that means weโ€™ve another opportunity to take on our friends at Paddy Power over some Fantasy fuelled markets in the โ€œFantasy Flutterโ€โ€ฆ

Derived from the Scout Picks, this weekโ€™s markets sport the familiar faces of David Silva, Jose Bosingwa and Victor Moses, accompanied by the much discussed “Robin Van Persie option”. Read on to find how our ยฃ10 stakes splits between them, and how much we risk on this weeks long-shot “Sleeper Special”.

Although absent from Man City’s score sheet for the last few weeks, no one could deny David Silva has been at the heart of all that is good about City this year, and will be hungry for more goals after his brace against the Scots. Silva’s creative play has earned him respect with neutrals and Fantasy managers alike, topping the midfield rankings thus far this season. Paddy post good odds on him to score at 6/4 and doubled up with an assist at 7/1, but the real value lies with an assist and not to be booked at 15/8. Making five assists in his last four and featuring only for goals in the ref’s book, this might well be the pick of the week, and easily justifies ยฃ4.

If you care to dip into the stats, a couple of Fantasy points near every week since the start of the season fails to rain glory down on Wiganโ€™s Victor Moses. He’s got goals in him though, as he once proved at Crystal Palace, but neither he or Roberto Martinez’s side have found gear so far this campaign. If Wigan take anything away from visiting Bolton, Moses will surely play his role, making Paddy’s odds of 5/2 to score anytime worth a quid.

Jose Bosingwa will be fresh faced when Everton visit the Bridge on Saturday and Paddy have drawn up a true defenders market for Jose, not to be booked and to keep a clean-sheet at evens. Although perhaps not the wildest potential returns, Everton’s attacking threat is dulled by injury doubts hanging over Tim Cahill and Leon Osman – a restrained ยฃ2 on Bosingwa seems ample for a bit of interest then.

Robin Van Persie seems to epitomise Arsenal this season. His quality outings have earned him a goal threat level only second to that of Wayne Rooney, yet he has only managed to find the net in two of the seven games he’s taken part in. Arsenal seem to be making the incisive runs and tidy passing they’ve always done, but still languish down in fifteenth, only a point above their weekend opponents, Sunderland. With a makeshift defence lining up for the Black Cats, Arsenal will run the channels and present Van Persie plenty of opportunity. If a goal bonanza is on the cards, RVP to score in each half at 13/2 for ยฃ2 could be a risk worth taking.

Our accumulator this week is admittedly a long shot, but has all the makings of a pound well spent. Victor Moses, Adel Taarabt and Peter Odemwingie have all shone within their teams, but not quite enough to be big earners in the Fantasy terms. Paddy are offering a big 28/1 for the sleeping trio to wake up and all make their mark with goals; this claims our final ยฃ1 stake this week.

Money Back Specials!

In what Paddy describes as an Epic Money Back Special, if Luis Suarez scores against United in Saturday’s early kick-off, Paddy will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

They’re also offering similar specials on the matches between City and Villa, Chelsea and Everton and Newcastle and Spurs.

Register and Bet ยฃ10 And Get ยฃ20 Free

If youโ€™re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free ยฃ20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Powerโ€™s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Young,Ade>Ramsey,RVP for a hit?

    Good call or ARS overkill?

Other option is to get Sturridge for Ade, but as mentioned above I'm not sure about his longterm place in the team + RVP is captain material over the next weeks.

Right i'm selling Rooney. I've decided. Question is who do i buy? I've already got RVP and Suarez so i was was thinking Sturridge is the logical choice? I've no Chelsea attacking cover and he would free up a lot of cash money. Sound sensible? (well apart from the selling Rooney bit, that is obviously crazy risky!?)

Sturridge might not play 90mins and even if he does then he is a rotation risk.

What about Woodgate in your defence? 4.5 is a bargain.

Obviously its an opinion, but he isnt good when Lampard plays, that is backed up by numerous stats.
Ramsey has been lucky, the fact that your reply to that was 'no...just no' shows you know little about how he has been playing for us, he has been poor the last two games, Petrov is a better pick than him, the fact that he is 0.6 cheaper is an added bonus.

I wouldn't say he was nailed on, and I'm reluctant to recommend him, but if it helps Aguero tweeted earlier he won't be playing but will be back midweek. Check out actual quote above or on last page.

    Guys,

Sorry asked this question a while ago, would appreciate your thoughts on this:

Change Rooney, Ade and Dzeko to
RVP, Sturridge and Dzeko for a 4 point hit?

Would skipper RVP to kinda cover the hit. Would also be a great front line for this week!

    Cherers!

Double coverage isn't a bad thing. 4 fulham players scored double digit points last GW. Roonpig and Young tore it up against Arse. In situations where strong vs weak teams can be beneficial.

I'm quite happy with my new w/c team, but I'm sure that it can be improved.

I just don't know how, unless I had another 20M to spend..... ๐Ÿ™‚

    Vorm (Begovic)
Enrique, Woodgate, Walker (Simpson, N. Taylor)
    Silva, Nani, Ramsey, Petrov, (Bannan)
    Rooney, RVP, Sturridge

0.8 left and still think that it's always worth some wiggle room rather than going 100% all out to spend every penny left in the bank.

    Any suggestions/criticism welcomed.

Vorm and Begovic (who should be playing this week) don't rotate that well. I ended up picking Hennessey & Beg. Great rotation for next 10 at least.

Not sure about Walker. No Bos or Komp?

They rotate pretty well, but not perfectly.

You had Vorm and Hennessy didn't you? I looked at that combo and decided that although they rotate perfectly home and away then sometimes you need to consider the opposition and the chances of a clean sheet.

And Wolves' defence are more permeable than a teabag.

No Bos or Komp for me since my defence is cheaper and in the medium term looks a lot better, and defenders hardly ever get BPs in this new system. Apart from those two.

Just wondering, wouldnt it be better if the Scout picks followed the rules of the game, and not just whoever is going to score best but with no real cap (as anyone can easily do that)
6 midfielders, no backup goalie and a fair bit unaffordable even without the 15th player..just thought itd be much better to pick 2 keepers, 5 defenders, 5 mids and 3 forwards that fit under 100 or close enough, seems stupid otherwise imo
