→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

With the European qualifying now all but put to bed, the limelight can shine back on the domestic front and that means we’ve another opportunity to take on our friends at Paddy Power over some Fantasy fuelled markets in the “Fantasy Flutter”…

Derived from the Scout Picks, this week’s markets sport the familiar faces of David Silva, Jose Bosingwa and Victor Moses, accompanied by the much discussed “Robin Van Persie option”. Read on to find how our £10 stakes splits between them, and how much we risk on this weeks long-shot “Sleeper Special”.

Although absent from Man City’s score sheet for the last few weeks, no one could deny David Silva has been at the heart of all that is good about City this year, and will be hungry for more goals after his brace against the Scots. Silva’s creative play has earned him respect with neutrals and Fantasy managers alike, topping the midfield rankings thus far this season. Paddy post good odds on him to score at 6/4 and doubled up with an assist at 7/1, but the real value lies with an assist and not to be booked at 15/8. Making five assists in his last four and featuring only for goals in the ref’s book, this might well be the pick of the week, and easily justifies £4.

If you care to dip into the stats, a couple of Fantasy points near every week since the start of the season fails to rain glory down on Wigan’s Victor Moses. He’s got goals in him though, as he once proved at Crystal Palace, but neither he or Roberto Martinez’s side have found gear so far this campaign. If Wigan take anything away from visiting Bolton, Moses will surely play his role, making Paddy’s odds of 5/2 to score anytime worth a quid.

Jose Bosingwa will be fresh faced when Everton visit the Bridge on Saturday and Paddy have drawn up a true defenders market for Jose, not to be booked and to keep a clean-sheet at evens. Although perhaps not the wildest potential returns, Everton’s attacking threat is dulled by injury doubts hanging over Tim Cahill and Leon Osman – a restrained £2 on Bosingwa seems ample for a bit of interest then.

Robin Van Persie seems to epitomise Arsenal this season. His quality outings have earned him a goal threat level only second to that of Wayne Rooney, yet he has only managed to find the net in two of the seven games he’s taken part in. Arsenal seem to be making the incisive runs and tidy passing they’ve always done, but still languish down in fifteenth, only a point above their weekend opponents, Sunderland. With a makeshift defence lining up for the Black Cats, Arsenal will run the channels and present Van Persie plenty of opportunity. If a goal bonanza is on the cards, RVP to score in each half at 13/2 for £2 could be a risk worth taking.

Our accumulator this week is admittedly a long shot, but has all the makings of a pound well spent. Victor Moses, Adel Taarabt and Peter Odemwingie have all shone within their teams, but not quite enough to be big earners in the Fantasy terms. Paddy are offering a big 28/1 for the sleeping trio to wake up and all make their mark with goals; this claims our final £1 stake this week.

Money Back Specials!

In what Paddy describes as an Epic Money Back Special, if Luis Suarez scores against United in Saturday’s early kick-off, Paddy will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

They’re also offering similar specials on the matches between City and Villa, Chelsea and Everton and Newcastle and Spurs.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

either him or sturridge, was about to pull the trigger on gervinho as i have no arsenal coverage, but just realised i have to play either brgovic away to arsenal or ruddy away to liverpool next week, i would do begovic but i dont like playing strikers against my keeper, so gone off him now a bit, if i go sturridge he plays qpr next week and then i can fully back begovic at arsenal, i know i said one week but now i think whoever comes in will be a 2 week solution

    One free and 4.4 bank

    Silva(C), Ramsey, Jarvis, M.Petrov
    Best, Rooney, Suarez

I'd play Vorm over Krul simply because I can't see Spurs not scoring even if Ade is out.

Mancini's press conference implied that Silva may be rested, but I can't see that happening.

I've gone for Sturrdige over Best because of the fixtures that Chelsea have, at least for the next two weeks.

      Hope that helps.

Ta, our reliable price ticker! 😀
Used the last day of my wildcard to catch RVP and Sturridge 30mins ago before they rose.
Would have made 0.2 on S Taylor if I'd got him at the start of the international break, but I didn't think he'd rise twice after not managing a clean sheet. Really can't understand why the herd goes for certain players sometimes, is it because he's on the dream team?

I don't understand that much love for S.Taylor too.. Your reason of being in dream team is probably correct though.

Here's my first stab at a WC team to take me through the next 6 GWs, starters for tomorrow (3-5-2) marked. Trying to go for the long-haul so I don't have to transfer every week. Can switch to 3-4-3 when it suits the strikers. Please take this to bits.

    Vorm (Ruddy)
Jose Enrique Kompany Bosingwa (R Taylor A Williams)

Ditto, I only got one rise out of him (snigger). Well it's stick with him or bust now, maybe I should stick with him given he's pretty influential at Arsenal right now.

Same situation, and I'm going with Vorm.

Tottenham are potent, and while swansea have a poor record away (0-3, 9 goals conceded, 1 scored), their away games were against Citeh, Chelsea & Arsenal.

I think they can keep it tight in the back vs. Norwich... replicate their home form.

Why does logic say bench Moses at home to bolton? He's out of form but he WILL score sometime, and when he does he has every chance of scoring a few more once his confidence builds up.

Who has a differential they think could catch fire the next few weeks? For me, it's Mr walcott.

Some thoughts of which GK to start , double NEW or double SWA or share risk.. I plan to share risk by playing Vorm and Simpson. Any comment on my back line and subs please ?

    Vorm
    Bosingwa - Kompany - Simpson
    Nani - Silva - Moses - Mata
    Adebayor Drogba RVP

Sub: Krul, Dyer, N.Taylor, De Laet

Can't see anything wrong with that. The other way round is Krul GK and N Taylor DEF. I think Krul will be busier so might get more save points, but also might let one in lol. Can't see too much difference between picking Taylor or Simpson this GW though.

Yeah, Krul in the goal could be busier.. I have seen someone posted here earlier last week about Krul to be busy saving a strong but not sharp shots from Defoe and a few long shots from VDV.

Vorm & Co haven't yet kept CS away.
Newcastle haven't kept CS in a meet with Spurs in last 5 seasons.

I still feel Simpson could be slightly better than N.Taylor as he had a rare attacking chance and bonus points.
