→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

With the European qualifying now all but put to bed, the limelight can shine back on the domestic front and that means we’ve another opportunity to take on our friends at Paddy Power over some Fantasy fuelled markets in the “Fantasy Flutter”…

Derived from the Scout Picks, this week’s markets sport the familiar faces of David Silva, Jose Bosingwa and Victor Moses, accompanied by the much discussed “Robin Van Persie option”. Read on to find how our £10 stakes splits between them, and how much we risk on this weeks long-shot “Sleeper Special”.

Although absent from Man City’s score sheet for the last few weeks, no one could deny David Silva has been at the heart of all that is good about City this year, and will be hungry for more goals after his brace against the Scots. Silva’s creative play has earned him respect with neutrals and Fantasy managers alike, topping the midfield rankings thus far this season. Paddy post good odds on him to score at 6/4 and doubled up with an assist at 7/1, but the real value lies with an assist and not to be booked at 15/8. Making five assists in his last four and featuring only for goals in the ref’s book, this might well be the pick of the week, and easily justifies £4.

If you care to dip into the stats, a couple of Fantasy points near every week since the start of the season fails to rain glory down on Wigan’s Victor Moses. He’s got goals in him though, as he once proved at Crystal Palace, but neither he or Roberto Martinez’s side have found gear so far this campaign. If Wigan take anything away from visiting Bolton, Moses will surely play his role, making Paddy’s odds of 5/2 to score anytime worth a quid.

Jose Bosingwa will be fresh faced when Everton visit the Bridge on Saturday and Paddy have drawn up a true defenders market for Jose, not to be booked and to keep a clean-sheet at evens. Although perhaps not the wildest potential returns, Everton’s attacking threat is dulled by injury doubts hanging over Tim Cahill and Leon Osman – a restrained £2 on Bosingwa seems ample for a bit of interest then.

Robin Van Persie seems to epitomise Arsenal this season. His quality outings have earned him a goal threat level only second to that of Wayne Rooney, yet he has only managed to find the net in two of the seven games he’s taken part in. Arsenal seem to be making the incisive runs and tidy passing they’ve always done, but still languish down in fifteenth, only a point above their weekend opponents, Sunderland. With a makeshift defence lining up for the Black Cats, Arsenal will run the channels and present Van Persie plenty of opportunity. If a goal bonanza is on the cards, RVP to score in each half at 13/2 for £2 could be a risk worth taking.

Our accumulator this week is admittedly a long shot, but has all the makings of a pound well spent. Victor Moses, Adel Taarabt and Peter Odemwingie have all shone within their teams, but not quite enough to be big earners in the Fantasy terms. Paddy are offering a big 28/1 for the sleeping trio to wake up and all make their mark with goals; this claims our final £1 stake this week.

Money Back Specials!

In what Paddy describes as an Epic Money Back Special, if Luis Suarez scores against United in Saturday’s early kick-off, Paddy will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

They’re also offering similar specials on the matches between City and Villa, Chelsea and Everton and Newcastle and Spurs.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Anyone else really excited for this GW? Absence has made the heart grow fonder for one, and then the weekend itself is just exciting: there's the liverpool v. manU game, there are lots of tough team-selection decisions for some final striking spots or DF spots, there's a favorable set of fixtures for many of the fantasy big dawgs (ARS, CHE, MCY all home to abuse-able teams), and I'm on my WC. It feels like christmas.

In order: ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto, ditto. 😀 I'm on my WC too and agonizing over getting it right for tomorrow. This team could shape my season. It could be the difference between finishing 2,100,000 and 2,200,000.

Most infuriating things after really working on your team: bloody last minute team news. "Oh sorry, the most expensive player in your squad had a light groin strain this morning and will stay in bed." Player turning up in body but not in mind. "Oh sorry, the most expensive player in your squad played a rotten 45 minutes and was subbed off early for the cheapest player in his team." Clean sheets disappearing in the 90th minute to a consolation goal. "AHHHHHHH"

For me it was last GW I think when Chelsea are 4-0 up on Bolton, then let in one and to rub it in AVB subs off my Bosingwa for Ivanovic to lock the game down. CS gone, any chance of an assist, gone...

Yeah, one Chelski clean sheet this season. Who could see that with that fixtures? I doubled up with Bos and Cole, but those consolations kept coming. Just ditched Cole for Gibbs: at least Arsenal have kept the back door shut a few times and their fixtures look good for a few more......

I started off terribly, but have picked up of late.
My H2H matches excite me most. IMO that's the most competitive aspect of this game. Accumulating just points is not really like football, but getting ta win and those 3 points every GW is......

It's the other way round for me, dunno why but I just don't take H2H matches personally enough. I think it's cos I take too many hits and that devalues the result of H2H matches. That said, I've lost 2/2 so far so I am resolutely trying not to care about it. Maybe when the official FF Cup starts!

I make it a policy never to take hits unless I can't field a full 11.
I hate giving pooints away, especially as you might only get 2 back. Seems too risky to me....

The thing is Moses is a nailed-on forward. He's had 21 shots on goal. Against the worst defence in the league at home, high chance one of them might go through.

I'm thinking of benching on-song Gabby. But then, Dzeko isn't nailed on. So dilemma!

Id fit Kompany in for him somehow. But there is too much in your defence, I have Enrique Kompany and Bos + 2 4.0's and thats my personal limit

Just so you are all warned. I transferred Torres in two games ago and made him captain (he got sent off). I then transferred in Aguero for Torres and made him captain (he hobbled of after 10 minutes).

This week I have transferred Van Persie in for Aguero and made him captain. If I were you DO NOT DO THE SAME - either transfer van persie in or make him captain - you have been warned!

My aim at the moment is to try and keep the game exciting so I'm going to aim mainly to do risky transfers. I hate having the same players as everyone else, anything above 10% and i lose the excitement with them. I'm also sick of seeing players go down for no reason (ash young) after a few bandwagoners jump off. This week I'm going to go Hernandez to Balotelli (C) and arteta for VDV (vc). Saying this, Hernandez has been my captain for the past 2 weeks and look how disastrous that was.

Well good enough for ya for picking a poor player as captain, who only scores tap ins from 1 yard. He never gets involved in the build up and is a Ian Rush type who side foots the ball from 1 yard. Lets see today how he gets on instead of a genius SUAREZ
