The curtains are drawn on Saturday’s Premier League action as West Ham United and Manchester City clash at the Boleyn Ground. The Hammers’ eight-match unbeaten streak was arrested at the hands of Newcastle United last Gameweek, while the Sky Blues have won three and drawn two of their previous five match-ups.

With eight goals and the third-most shots on target (22) over the last four Gameweeks, the Hammers boast one of the league’s form attacks. Additionally, Slaven Bilic’s recruits limited their opposition to four goals, illustrating the balance in their play. In terms of West Ham’s home form, they haven’t lost on their own turf since Gameweek 3, which suggests that the visitors are in for a challenging afternoon.

Man City chalked up more shots inside the box (46) than any side over the last four Gameweeks but ranked in the bottom six for shot-conversion rate (7.9%). On the defensive end, the Sky Blues conceded the joint-fewest goals (one) and the fifth-fewest shots inside the box (23), underlining their improvement at the back. Investors in their offense might be concerned that they rank in the bottom five for goals in away matches (10).

Is Dawson the only sensible option for WBA defence?

It would restrict me from bringing in Sanchez. Olsson however...
