      That's why the "small teams" do so well. No pressure from big crowds with high expectations. I remember when we had just been promoted and our fans would get behind the team no matter what. AAh, the good old days!

      To be fair, they do have a brilliant squad - Stones, Coleman, Barkley (slightly questionable), Deulofeu and Lukaku are all great players, so they're certainly massively underachieving. Also Leeds seem to be doing a bit better since Fatty's come in - maybe you'll get top half!

    Ok then. Barry's goal wasn't an OG. It was exactly the same as PVAs against Swansea. Shot going wide, diverted in by defender. Ayews was an OG, same as Kolarovs v Watford. Shot already on target given as an OG. OPTA are totally inept or corrupt

    So I made the wrong move in buying Jagielka instead of Evans (for this week anyway), but what would you do/are going to do if you had/have an Everton defender now?

    They have great fixtures but I just have no confidence in their defense. Should I just bite my tongue and transfer out Jag (I have 2 FT) or hold on. I'm not usually impetuous when it comes to transfer making but that Everon defense though...

      Find out why he didn't play first. My guess is he wasn't fit enough to play two games in 3 days and were keeping for the semi final. And then see what happens with the DGW after the semis

    Finally a GW taking a risk pays off

    Knew Lukaku would be the highest captained, knew most of my rivals would captain him. Went Aguero to try and make up ground. Paid off massively

            I don't read those, I just judge for myself. Also before the City game, in their 15 previous games they had conceded 2 or more only 3 times. Add Payet being fit back to the mix and making their general ball retention better and it wasn't a clear cut decision IMO, at least not to the extent people are suggesting in hindsight.

    What we've learned from GW23

    - The template players such as Mahrez, Vardy, Ighalo and Deeney are still lingering
    - Premium options like Ozil and KDB
    - Liverpool, Norwich, Tottenham and quite possibly Stoke have defensive concerns.
    - Everton are still punching far below expectation still
    - The title race is still a minefield
    - United are up to their old tricks and attacking assets should be avoided for now
    - Payet, Firmino, Alli and Afobe all look great recently
    - Kun is the real deal
    - Picking clean sheets is an impossible task
    - Targett and PVA are getting people's attention at the back
    - Concern over Myhill/ Hennessey's starting prospects

      Looking at United this week though, if Shawcross is fit they could easily keep a clean sheet

      I might be avoiding Lukaku/ Aguero (C), might go with Payet. West Ham tore through City with ease and they play Villa next. RIP.

    Alternative ideas/other thingsi should prioritize? Sanchez an interesting idea as well but dont know how he would fit. Also considering Costa/Kane/Kaku or something like that....
