While we eagerly await the start of Gameweek twelve, the last fortnight has afforded us time to revisit the Scout League updates. Read on to discover the risers and fallers over the last couple of months before Arsenal and Norwich get proceedings back underway tomorrow lunchtime:

Classic FPL Leagues

There’s also a new face at the summit of the Fantasy Football Scout league since our last visit. With the 2 point margin needed to better the previous week’s leader, Darren Ruxton has basked in the glory of top spot for the past fortnight- Darren is also sitting 18th in the world. One also can’t help but notice John Hoare picked up a triple figure score for gameweek eleven and climbed up to fifth in our table.

Our paid-up subscribers are also fighting it out in the Scout Members league. Simon Manser leads the way, while we also notice frequenter of the Scout comment community SuperDunny, despite a lacklustre previous week by comparison, not far off the top spot.

The Contributor’s League is where eyes wander next. It’s long time friends, rivals and podcast sparring partners Mark and Granville jostling for position (the former leading by 2 points) with myself, Andy, and Akers nipping at their heels. El Fozzie will be happy he’s considered the business brains behind this venture- his side sits dead last.

Head to Head Leagues

FFS H2H 1/ FFS H2H 2 / FFS H2H 3 / FFS H2H 4 / FFS H2H 5

We’ve got a lot of Head to Head leagues to keep track of these days. There’s 180 managers in our ever-expanding league structure, and that’s before we look at the Reserve League. Here’s the run-down of movers and shakers in Leagues 1 through 5…

At this early stage, we have a lot of movement across the board in the Head to Heads, although three of our five bottom-placed managers stay rooted to the base of their respective tables for the second update in a row. Two Fantasy managers, Jimi and Super-Hans, have also kept a grip on their top spot with Monstery, Crabwalk and Rediffusion all moving up one place to take top spot in their respective leagues.

Some of the more dramatics risers are the likes of Dick Fran Dyke, who has jumped into the top half of our first table from near bottom by climbing 9 places – a feat matched by TorresMagic in the second league with a jump from relegation to promotion. NeedleVor finds himself safe and comfy in the fifth league after an 8 place gallop, while our very own Pure Olivia mirrors that leap and looks much more comfortable now he isn’t bottom dog.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have anton deco suffering poor form of late to drop 11 places since our last international break. Pigvig fell a staggering 13 places in the past four gameweeks- that’s the biggest slump of any Fantasy manager across our nine leagues.

FFS H2H 6 / FFS H2H 7 / FFS H2H 8 / FFS H2H 9

That was just a little over half of the select entry Head to Head leagues we have in operation. What follows is how things have gone down for the 80 good souls in Leagues 6 to 9…

Apart from league eight-where eight of the twenty teams are non-movers- there are plenty of risers and fallers. Joining Dexter4King at the top of each table are three new leaders in Zophar, trisonetwo and Goaltastic.

The strongest resurgences in the four remaining leagues are to be found in the bottom two, where Marcel Del Wattsio jumps right out of Reserve League fodder and into the top six promotion spots. Stevelockley leaps 8 places in our ninth league but the 11 spots that Moens has moved from a dangerous position to relative safety is the largest rise of the update.

The big fallers are GivetNGog (dropping 10 spaces in League 9), Raththekid (down 9 spaces in League 7) and LouKay (slipping 9 spaces in League 6) – all will be looking to change gears before the next Scout League Update rolls into town.

Reserve League

The last time we met there were 24 Fantasy Managers fighting strong with an unbeaten run in our public Head to Head league. That number has been decimated, with only two folks having yet to taste the bitter pill of defeat. Adnan Shah’s Blue Mavericks’ edges out Gareth Rees’ Power Rangers at the top.

European League

We’re two thirds of the way through the Champions League group stages and the Scout League is starting to form a more regular and consistent looking top-line – Scout contributor Granville is no longer the top ranked player in England any more. While I myself have been successfully conspiring to ruin a great history from the last two season with my team suffering an almighty third season slump, there are plenty of managers out there reveling in their success.

With our Northern podcast host now down in 52nd, it’s left to Ted Dibiase to grab top spot, with a 12 point lead over Sebastian Kawiorski in second place. Obay Eid, who was out in front last time around, is just a couple points further back in fourth and well within touching distance of first place.

The Other Leagues

Outwith the two main staples of Fantasy Premier League and UEFA Champions League, we set up a couple of extra Scout Leagues in other Fantasy Games for those looking for a little something extra.

The Sun Dream Team is the other most widely-known and used Fantasy Game on our shores. Playing across every fixture covered -be it Premier League, Europe or either Domestic Cup- we see Gareth Owens and his Inter Bearded Clan maintaining his advantage at the top, albeit by the slenderest one point margin.

Those backing any of the twenty-four sides in the Championship may very well be in our Texaco Fantasy Championship league and looking to knock Nathan Bialas and Eilian Hughes off their high perch. An 18 point gap between the pair and third place leaves them jostling for position amongst themselves.

Schedules permitting, our next League Update should be coming up in our next break in Premier League action – the FA Cup-inspired stall in nine gameweeks’ time at the start of 2012. In the meantime, keep your calendars free and do your best to get your name up on the board.

I like it. There is a Silva shaped hole, but thats about the only criticism Id have, and Aguero should cover some of that.

Lampard is my Silva replacement, and Aguero gives me City cover. I don't actually fancy ManU's next 3, but that 14. in the bank could be used to bring in Rooney for Aguero.

No United coverage and no Silva.

I'll assume you're bringing in Rooney for Aguero at some point?

No on form Cahill makes Baines an even poor pick IMO.

      The rest looks fine though.

Repost: Sessegnon, Rodwell or Drenthe for a 4 point hit? I’m thinking Sess, right? And what do you think about Sturridge? If he is not fit I think I’ll have to take an 8 point hit as my subs are Raylor, Reo Coker and De Laet.

would prefer vidic over baines and aguero over rooney (for the next 3) myself but like it apart from that

bear in mind walters may be in midfield from now on as they have the three fit strikers
