The latest big news for FantasyBet participants is that a Grand Finale game has now gone live. There’s a £5,000 pot up for grabs in Gameweek 38, which means there will be several rounds of upcoming qualifiers to win tickets into that season finale. This week the qualifier costs £3.30 to enter and covers seven Saturday matches – with the early match between Villa and Chelsea excluded, line-ups can be entered up until 3pm.

Chelsea’s lunchtime visit to managerless Villa precedes six 3pm kick-offs. There will be heightened interest in Arsenal and West Ham ahead of home clashes with Watford and Palace respectively, whilst Norwich’s tie with Newcastle at Carrow Road looks vital to both sides’ chances of survival. Spurs travel to Anfield for the evening match on Saturday – the North London side could cut Leicester’s lead to two points if they can overcome the Reds.

At the King Power Stadium on Sunday, the Foxes face a tough test of against a Southampton side that remain in the mix for a European spot. Everton visit Old Trafford having lost three of their last four, and with only a win against Aston Villa over that run, the Toffees could struggle against a United side that have been defensively sound in front of their own fans.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar scoring and pricing system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy football guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

Adrian (5m)
Patrick Van Aanholt (4.5m)
Christian Fuchs (4.5m)
Hector Bellerin (5.5m)
Marko Arnautovic (6m)
Dimitri Payet (7.5m)
Cesc Fabregas (8m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Jermaine Defoe (5m)
Danny Welbeck (7m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

Adrian: West Ham have tightened up significantly at home over the course of the season – having managed just one clean sheet in the first seven at Upton Park, they’ve kept five in the subsequent seven. Adrian’s 15 saves over his last four appearances adds to his appeal for the visit of Crystal Palace.

Christian Fuchs: Leicester City’s attack may have slowed down but four 1-0 wins over the last five indicates that recently, it’s the defence that have been key to securing victories. Fuchs has picked up seven bonus points over that period and with set-duties in his locker, a fourth assist of the season could be on the cards against the Saints.

Dimitri Payet: The Frenchman recently suffered a four-match run of blanks but has since returned to the level of consistency he was displaying earlier in the season prior to injury. With two goals and four assists in five, Payet looks an irresistible option at home to Palace’s poor defence.

Danny Welbeck: The Arsenal forward has hit the ground running after missing the majority of the season through injury. While Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott have failed to convince of late, Welbeck’s three goals and an assist over five appearances bodes well for the run-in.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always, the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash mode.

The Grand Weekend contest only misses the match at Villa Park, so line-ups can be entered right up until the 3pm kick-offs. It’s £11 to enter for a chance to win part of the £1000 guaranteed prize money.

There is also a Weekend Flash game. This format gives participants a unique list of players to select from and a three-minute window to pick your line-up – it’s a £5.50 stake for entry into a £200 guaranteed pot.

LAST WEEK

I had some mixed results last time out. A second-place finish in the double-up with 90 points gave some helpful returns but left me wishing I’d entered that line-up into the Triple Grand pot. The Scout Picks also helped retrieve some of my entry fee for the big pot – a fourth place spot provided just over £8 of winnings.

Congratulations to Jarlblidensol who won almost £770 in the Triple Grand contest with a massive score of 105 points – Harry Kane’s 32-point haul as captain was the biggest contributor, whilst picking Graziano Pelle as a differential also paid off, as the Italian delivered 15 points to help secure the biggest win of the season so far.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

As well as the Grand Finale I’m also interested in the freerolls, the Double-Up game, the Grand Finale Qualifier and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £4.95.

In addition, I’ll be taking on Van Dear Vaart, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks. He will be going up against me in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22.

Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Coach topped the Scout Picks League with a score of 95 points. Captain Harry Kane was the biggest source of points, while a full house of clean sheets from Leicester, Spurs and Swansea assets in defence also helped secure the win.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League, with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

Coleman or Jagielka for Everton defence? Either of them at risk of rotation for their DGW33 & 34?

Fairly set on WC in 33 (Hart injury put paid to any idea of wcing later), so have the luxury of 2 FT for punts this week, any suggestions? No real standout fixtures, thinking maybe Hart -> Courtois and something else, maybe Wollscheid out?

    Hart* Hennessy
    Wollscheid Simpson Bellerin (VVD Daniels)
    Ozil Payet Siggy Mahrez (Alli)
    Aguero Kane Vardy

Am I losing my mind with the choices I've opted to bench?

    Forster/(Rudd)
    Simpson/Azpi/Koscielny (Monreal/Alderweireld)
    Sanchez/Payet/Mahrez/Firmino (Alli)
    Kane/Vardy/Aguero (c)

Debating whether I drop Mahrez for Alli - which seems mad.
Or Koscielny for Monreal....though I'm holding out for Koscielny from a set piece.

    Any thoughts/suggestions??

Disclaimer: I suck at this game, but it's high time I gave something back to this site, and the people on it, after taking from it for so long. This is my 'no hits' GW33-37 plan atm. Comments / flames / mocking welcome:

    GW 33 WC
    Mignolet Hennessy
Dawson Bellerín Clyne Janmaat Funes Mori
    Mahrez Payet Antonio Wijnaldum Barkley
    Agüero Kane Lukaku

GW 34 - BB + Save FT - 13 DGW players (mahrz and Kane)
GW 35 - Funes --> Kosc + Barkley --> Alli (in order to field 11)
    GW 36 - Save FT
GW 37 - Winj --> Cout + DGW player TBD (6 DGW players)

    Notes:
    - Ming chosen over Robles due to the fixtures over the course of GW33-37 and EVE leaky def
    - GW 35 transfers out of EVE players might be cancelled depending on form leading into DGW 37

I'm not sure an RMT counts as giving something back.

For anyone looking to Wildcard GW33, Bench Boost GW34, get XI out GW35, and maximise their DGW players and Triple Captain for GW 37, have a look below, there may be some useful points that you can use. Obviously your plan of attack will vary depending on your budget, position in league/differentials, and no doubt injuries will cause havoc, but good to have a plan. (Overall Rank 6,967, Points 1,796, TV 106.8).

    Draft GW33 WC team:
    Mignolet Robles
    Rojo Olsson Bellerin Monreal Dann
    Payet Ozil Coutinho Alli Lennon
    Kun Lukaku Vardy

    - 4 DGW Players (3 Everton, 1 Palace). Ensure that one of these DGW players is a keeper, and that you have a maximum of 6 players from teams who have a blank GW35 (Everton, Palace, West Ham, Man U, Norwich, Villa). That way you can put 4 of these players on the bench in GW35, and use your 2 FTs in GW34 and GW35 to replace the remaining 2 players from these teams to get a starting XI out.
    - Maximum of 2 Liverpool players in WC GW33. Don't be tempted to load up on Liverpool, lots of teams have a DGW33. Given that Liverpool are the only team to have SGW35 and a DGW37, if you stick to a maximum of 2 in your WC, one of your 2 FT accumulated can be used in GW35 to draft in a Liverpool player for someone who has a blank GW35 and no more DGW (i.e. Palace or Villa). I have opted to have Dann in my WC (who has back to back DGWs in GW33 and GW34), which gives me the flexibility and budget to select whichever Liverpool defender I want in GW35.
    - Maximum of 2 players from Leicester and Tottenham. Any more and you lower the number of DGW players for DGW34 and DGW37. Any less, and you would have presumably drafted in more DGW34 players, meaning you wont be able to field a starting XI in GW35 without taking a hit. The 2 Leicester Tottenham players is a lottery, Shmeichel Alderweireld FuchsAlli Mahrez Vardy Kane. Personally I have gone round and round in circles so I guess it's all down to preference. I opted for Alli and Vardy as it's a cheap combination, and the latter is on penalties.
    - My current set up for Bench Boost GW34 gives me 13 DGWers + Alli + Vardy
    - My other planned FT in GW35, in order to get a starting XI out, will be an Everton player to a SGW35 (probably Lukaku to Kane)
    - Using my FTs for GW36 and GW37, I will replace Kane and Olsson who dont have a DGW, and take my pick from the DGWers: Utd, Chelsea, Everton etc. Not sure on who yet, but will wait and see what form players are in.
    - This sets me up for a Triple Captain GW37 with 8 DGWers + Alli + Vardy + Kun
    - Current set up keeps Payet, Ozil, Kun, Alli and Vardy until end of season, but dropping Mahrez and Kane (temporarily). For me, I feel like I am maximising my DGWs but not abandoning the core form players of the season. Others may disagree.

I appreciate other people may not have chips left, or will be looking to wildcard GW33/36/37, but appreciate your thoughts. If a couple of people find this useful then it's done its job.

    Tell you what.
This is now the third or fourth day of using this new mobile layout.
I'm getting used to the changes. And I have to say.

    I love the new update!

    Crisp and clear
Speed had improved, which has helped no end.
    Layout is great.

I'd like to apologise for any moaning I did on the last day or two.

I still miss the time stamp and live comment feed. But I'm aware it is being looked into.

Big big well done to all involved in the update. Love it.
