Have we fallen hook, line and sinker? After taking a beating by a cast of talent sacrificed in our Gameweek 33 Wildcards, it certainly feels we’ve obliviously wandered over a trapdoor and slammed back down to earth.

We’re back up to full strength in the ScoutCast as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to compare the bruises inflicted by our Gameweek 33 refresh. We endevour to remain optimistic, clinging to the hope that the Gameweek 34 bench boost chip will deliver and help us balm the damage from a disastrous weekend.

Judging by the line of questioning from the community, we’re not the only ones smarting. The four of us pick through your bout of queries, before looking ahead the weekend and the Gameweek that could yet revive our seasons.

This episode of the ScoutCast was first aired live on our YouTube channel on Wednesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get a heads up on future broadcasts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

When is the press conference for Arsenal? It's vital for me to get a hint whether Cech will play or not.....is he still injured? Or just not match fit?

Any nailed defender from ManCity for the DGW, apart from Otamendi?
According to my analysis, neither ManCity nor Liverpool and ManUtd have nailed defenders, except Smalling and Otamendi and both are at 6.5.
Who's the best replacement for Jags over here? 5.4 ITB. Not too keen on Stones though.
Already have Evans, Bellerin and Flanno + Cech & DDG. Going for BenchBoost this week.

I think he is due some rest with all the upcoming fixtures for LFC.
        Flanno will have his chance.
Moreno looks more refreshed and showing forms btw.

Its a real quandary. Asking myself if Rojo, Fosu-Mensah, Clichy and Mangala are realistic options for both games.

In some ways spending the least on the rotation threatened player is sometimes the best option. Fosu-Mensah might be worthwhile in that regard

      1. El-Kloppico
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

With Kolarov form, I doubt Clichy will start both matches.
Fosu-Mensah played the FA Cup and for a 19yrs guy, playing him again tomorrow might be a tough call. He'll surely miss one of the 2 matches though.
Mangala is also a doubt with Kompany imminent return.

Decision time for me folks. Who do i play folks?

    A) Play Alli
    B) Play Bolasie
    C) Do Bolasie to Lanzini for a hit and play Lanzini, bench Alli

Currently playing Alli as he is an away king and Lanzini plays 2 good defences.

WIth my defence in total shamble, and planning to play my BB, should I take a -8pts to get it right?

    Jags + Azpi + Bolasie >> Rojo + Mangala + Milner

    Does that make any sense?
Knowing that Bolaise will at most bring a 4pts, Azpi 2pts, is it worth taking the hits?

      A.
Iwobi is in form but I doubt he'll play both games.
But Losing Lukaku at this stage is a risk, even though we all know he deserve the 'Troll of the Year' award.
Rashford is a risk given Rooney is set to return.

    FWD line: Martial, Kun, Lukaku

    Who goes for Kane(C) gw35?

Kun likely to not play much in gw35, if at all, due to CL. Martial/Kaku both with dgw37

      Same here + KDB.
And sold on Williams, Toby, Siggy, Alli and Vardy on my wc 🙂
+ Had Milner instead of KDB in my wc team before his first goal against PSG.
Oh and picked Moreno as pool def, because it's fpl law that he will score now when no one gets him. But one week lurking here and Sakho was the safe choice 🙂

Few weeks left, so tempted to live a little...

    a) Gabriel, Lennon, Bolassie => Smalling, Iwobi, Lanzini (-8)
    b) Gabriel, Lennon, Bolassie => Rojo/Fosu, Iwobi, Milner (-8)

Thinking ahead, who will replace your Utd defender for 35?

LEI, TOT, CTY all have good fixtures in 35.

Assuming we all have a LEI defender, PVA at SUN isn't such a bad shout. The stats seem to indicate that SUN are tightening up and have a dgw in 37.

No form though. Been on the bench too. Vardy's 6ppg is hard to beat.

If I get man utd def this week, he will be there for rest of the season.
That would mean Dann => PVA gw35 for sure.

Morning all....playing bench boost this weekend but expect team to be heavily rotated....what is my best bet?

    A
Delaney to fosu and hoped-for the best?

    B
Gabriel and coutinho to smalling and iwobi for a hit....getting rid of 1 maybe 2 rotation risks but also means an extra hit for gw35

    Team is

    Robles darlow
    Bellerin sakho Gabriel Simpson Delaney
    Sanchez payet lanzini kdb coutinho
    Kun lukaku martial

    Thanks!

Cresswell is a good option. Or simply get a Leicester defender.

      PVA/Sakho/Klose/Simpson all look handy.

Looking for Lennon replacement with with 5.9.

    A) Townsend (gives me 11 in GW 35)
    B) Lingard
    C) other option..

( Iwobi, Lanzini not an option)
