Last night was the warm up – Birmingham and Stoke conspired to score five goals between them, wow – this evening is the main event for all but one fantasy manager out there.

Eight kick-offs in our special floodlit gameweek and there’s all sorts of news to digest…

Alex and Anelka miss out for Chelsea with their knocks as Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa come in, youngster Matthew Briggs makes what I think is his first Fulham start at the other end – nothing like being thrown in at the deep end. Blackpool have made ten changes from the side that drew with Everton, Ian Holloway clearly taking a leaf out of Mick McCarthy’s book and prioritising his efforts away from Aston Villa who give youth a chance again with Barry Bannan, Ciaran Clark and Nathan Delfouneso all filling holes in an injured squad once more.

Up at Wolves Thomas Rosicky and Andrei Arshavin meanwhile send Theo Walcott and Samir Nasri to the Arsenal bench. Flu scares or mind games? Dimitar Berbatov and all his supposedly ill chums recover to start for the Manchester derby as does one Luis Nani, the Mexican kipper Javier Hernandez is left to the bench. Tevez’ friends were proved wrong as he starts for the home side this evening.

The unchanged sides are unsurprisingly three coming off good weekends as Liverpool travel to face Wigan (Tom Cleverley is given another chance to impress), Newcastle who welcome Blackburn (who are going with a different approach up front) and Bolton who travel to Everton where David Moyes has recalled Marouanne Fellaini, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Louis Saha with Seamus Coleman and Yakubu dropping the bench and Johnny Heitinga out of the squad.

The Dugout Discussion is open once more for all you looking to try and keep track of eight fixtures together, and Leicester hosting Sheffield United too of course, throughout the evening.

To end on a slightly more sour note, recent nights events have found the sharing of false line-ups before kick-off, whether attempted in humour or not, any person(s) involved in this kind of activity is in breach of our Terms and Conditions and will be reprimanded accordingly. For your own sake and that of your fellow community, take a second to think before you post.

You can shout off at me instead if you like, the hand of rotation seems to have avoided me this midweek. All I need is Drogba to have a quiet day and the comeback could be on …yeah right! Good luck.

Andy Leicester won the Premier League. Leicester. Premier League. What is this life? Follow them on Twitter

That was a horribly boring game to be frank. Really poor and uninspired.

Imperious performance from Vidic at least, back to his best. Expecting bonus points.

I am guilty of slagging off that game. My sincere apologies to Pulis and McLeish.

Ferguson and Mancini - shame on you too. Sir Alex has not struck me before as being a negative manager away in the Premier League, but today both teams clearly went out with not to lose as a bigger priority than to win.

Bloody hell got to be happy with 43 pts so far, at this rate i,ll be keeping my spare transfer for a while. Just no one seems to be preforming consistently apart from carroll and no way i,m benching him no matter who he plays.

Might start getting people who are actually showing some form.

We were a lot more ambitious than City- it's just we failed to create anything (and had a few key players injured or lacking match fitness)....

Plus, City were at home and so should have taken the initiative, but instead just sat back like lemons....

An ambitious team that failed to create anything = Dull.

Neither side was ambitious, Your clutching at straws.

United didnt do anymore than City. United's approach was just as negative.

City couldnt have attacked just because they were at home. There was no space to attack into.

They could have tried getting player(s) into the box. United tried to win the game, City didn't. it was fairly obvious. When United attacked, Nani,Park and Fletcher all were quick to support Berbaflop..unlike City who time and time again were forced to hold the ball up around the United box in order to wait for support. Absolutely pathetic in my opinion

I think that is a biased view of the game Tommy K. Attacking play is dictated by the manager before and through the game, and is not only an effect of the formation put out.

Both teams were negative and scared tonight, and I think the supporters of both teams should be disappointed that they gave up ground to their competitors without having a real go at the three points.

Went to do Torres and Scott Parker in for Malouda and Hernandez at 1am Tuesday morning and after clicking on the transfer button was told the players' value had changed. Took that as a sign to not make the change and instead brought in Carlton Cole for Hernandez thinking he was on penalties. You can guess the rest.

Got to laugh about it really.
