Gameweek 18 rolls on this evening as Liverpool welcome Stoke to Anfield in a 5.15pm kick-off.

Owned by over 21% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Sadio Mane’s home form suggests he’s the man most likely to wreak havoc against the Potters – the Senegal international has scored or assisted in six of seven Anfield appearances since arriving from Southampton over the summer.

Divock Origi, with goals in all but one of the last five Gameweeks, retains his starting berth, with Jurgen Klopp set to unleash Daniel Sturridge from the bench once again.

Roberto Firmino also keeps his place as he attempts to end a run of six straight blanks.

For the Potters, Joe Allen is the form player – he’s bagged a goal and assist in the last three Gameweeks as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since moving to the bet365.

Between the posts, Lee Grant has produced at least one save point in each of the last four and should be kept busy again as the hosts look for the win that would see them leapfrog Man City into second.

    Anyone with TV/SV worse than 102.7/101.3? Just can't catch a break with prices. For every Ibra price rise, there's a Firmino & Kane price drop.

        TV - team value is the current value of your team that show on the FPL screen

        SV - sale value is the value you will have if selling all players in your team for cash

        Think I got my nomenclature messed up. TV is squad value you see on your points page. Not reflective of anything important. SV, selling value, is the effective money in the bank you have if you were to WC right now. Just remove all the players from your team within the transfers page, and you should get the SV. People play the prices/profit game to get a higher SV. Generally, higher TV means higher SV.

      My TV is 105.1 & I'm ranked just outside the top 1 million. You can do well without having all 4 big hitters. If you look at teams in top 100 there's people with TV 102-103 doing well.

          What one man considers draining, another man considers fun--or at least part of the challenge 🙂

          Honestly, I get your point, but I also think there is WAY too much attention paid to TV and SV around these parts. My TV is 103.7, but my rank isn't suffering much. That's not to be braggadocious, it's just to point out that there will always be value picks. Sure, they might not always be as obvious as Mahrez and Vardy and Alli last year, or Kane and Austin in seasons past, but they are there.

          Eriksen can match Kane for more than 2 million less. Walcott plugs away and can come close to matching Sanchez--at least for now. Capoue, Allen, Gundo, Zaha, Phillips, etc., will have their purple patches.

          Just hang in there and don't panic. I'm still confident that smart choices will beat the early transfer game at the end of the day.

    Planning for GW 20

    City (BUR) , WBA (HUL) , Palace (SWA)

    I don't have any players from these teams yet. It will be (-8) if I try to fit them in, so I think I might have to ignore one match.

    Which match would you choose to ignore? I'm leaning to City (BUR) because..

    - difficult to pick Aguero ... unless Ibra or Costa has problem
    - difficult to choose City mid ... KDB too expensive. Sterling in good form, but how they will play with Kun back

        Actually I don't, and have 2 FTs! With Ibra producing I'm not burning one to bring Aguero in just yet.

        I've got another couple of players that haven't scored in the past 2 (Siggy and Phillips) but I'm confident they'll turn it around soon.

      If you think they're unsustainable and you're right than you'll be rewarded if you follow trough on your gut feeling. If you follow it and you're right it's the most rewarding feeling you'll get out of FPL. If you're wrong you'll just feel dumb. I've felt both of those feelings in the past.

      I kind of feel having two expensive defenders at this stage in proceedings is a waste esp as TOT and CHS fixtures are hardening. You also have a decent bounty of cheap ubers too like Holgate for instance and my favourite, Ake. Boot Walker.

    Being near the top 10K rank, it's weird seeing Kane doing better than Eriksen would be more beneficial whereas overall it's Eriksen over Kane.

    Lukaku looks pretty good for the next month or so instead of Costa. 1.3 cheaper which means downgrading someone like Sigurdsson instead of Hazard.

        I think ill be doing something like Siggy -> Zaha/Phillips and Defoe to Lukaku. Those fixtures are great. I went Lukaku over Costa for the start of the year and didn't regret it.
        People forget he is only 23 and improving year by year. Everton will no doubt find some form and hopefully he is a part of it.

      Looks ok. I would change Snodgrass for either Phillips/Zaha/Cabaye though. Hull look incapable of scoring. Or maybe stretch to Jay Rodriguez if you're able to downgrade a defender
