Saturday’s events come to an end at Anfield as Liverpool play host to Arsenal.
While the Gunners sat out Gameweek 26, Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a reverse at Leicester City on Monday night having been heavily backed by Fantasy managers through Sadio Mane, who had claimed 366,000 new owners.
Mane will look to revive his fortunes following Monday’s blank, after scoring a spectacular strike against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium back in Gameweek 1.
Philippe Coutinho scored 15-points on that occasion, triggering a huge early season bandwagon. Notably, the Brazilian scored his first goal since Gameweek 11 in Monday’s defeat to the Foxes and fired in six attempts – signposting another big performance this evening, perhaps.
For Arsenal, the pre-match build-up is dominated by Arsene Wenger’s team selection, with Alexis Sanchez left on the bench as Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud start up front. The Gunners look set to play more direct, in a bid to counter Liverpool’s high pressing game, with Sanchez presumably to feature as Wenger’s “plan B” this time around.
