I feel like holding off too late on Salah and Sane has basically killed my season. My rivals got them cheap and seem to have an extraneous couple of £m more than me to play with. Going to make it thought to catch them.
This is defeatist talk not becoming of a FFScout member. I overturned a 100 point deficit in the last 2 weeks to win my mini-league last season. Get in there and do what it takes to win!

I've yet to get Sane and I'm wondering the same - I will probably have to cave eventually but, for now, I'm trying to ride it out and find methods of making up ground, hoping that Sane slows a little. The other hope, of course, is that you'll find the next few assets to break out and reverse the trend back at them.
There seems to be a bit of a Sané vs. Hazard tug of war going on. I feel I've missed the boat on Sané but Hazard is only getting started
That's where I think I'm going to have to head. He's got the explosive potential to make up some ground. Need to see where I could squeeze out £1m to upgrade Eriksen to Hazard...
It's tricky. In the past I've usually not been so stubborn and made up quite a lot of value. I reluctantly got Salah this week with a hit that I would never normally take and have also avoided Sane as of yet.
Indeed, problem is they seem to be making the same moves as me. Tempted to go big on a differential like Hazard.
Yes, already have Hazard and eyeing up Alonso as another strong differential. The one thing with Sane is that owners won't sell him if they've made a heavy profit so far and, if he happens to go on a run of blanks or just start ticking away with the odd assist, he'll be held and that's when you might be able to make up ground. It might be clutching at straws but it can happen. He's having an outstanding season, but I would hesitate to put him in Hazard's bracket just yet.
Salah, that's something different. For me, I don't see him slowing as he seems to be Liverpool's principal goalscorer, whereas City have plenty of others who might just bite into Sane's returns a little more.

Yeah, the stats show that Palace have improved defensively and this is a good spell of games for them. They conceded to Everton but I felt that was unfortunate - as did the FA.
Obviously hoping that Dann can deliver a goal and a 15-pointer at some stage in the next 3-4 weeks.

Agree on Sane. Was what held me off him and sticking with Sterling. Early doors I reasoned Liverpools goals would be shared and was unconvinced by Salahs end product but he's certainly proved me wrong.
You're absolutely right. A barren run, niggly injury or red card could flip the situation on its head. Got to try and find an angle. I've stuck with Alonso during a bit of a barren run and he looks like he's coming good so trying to practice patience with the differentials at the same time.
Tempted to go with Pogba and Alonso as diferentials, already have Morata and no Lukaku. Considering Hazard, but can´t figure it out how to get him and relutant to triple up on Chelsea.
Dropped Eriksen for Salah this week...wanted him for some time now. Saves cash, and Spurs don't convince me atm. Might be to late, but if he is "nailed" and keeps on giving, why not?

He's the one to get from City without a doubt, Pep made it quite clear that he doesn't like to play both Jesus and Aguero at the same time so that rules both of them out as an fpl option. Nicely rested midweek, great player, only left winger they have actually.
Sure, he'll play every game but will he maintain his scoring rate? City have been blasting teams away during his run of form. That might continue but if they start to regress a little, we might see Sane's returns tail off.
It's only a hope - we don't have much to go on with him. He could be a player who runs hot and cold at times, but he could equally maintain outstanding form for the whole season. Like I said above, with Hazard, we kind of know what we get - a 200+ point season. With Sane, he's delivering on his potential but we don't know for sure if that can be sustained.
For now, I really regret not having him over Sterling, but I didn't read the security of starts and now the price point is a barrier for me. Probably a big error. It won't stop me recommending him - I'm careful not to let my mistake bias my opinion.
He's just 21. There has to be some inconsistency in his performances at some point. But when you have KdB and D.Silva teeing you up, you only need to score 1 of the 4 chances per game you're going to get!
Even when not scoring, he's passing to Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Silva, KdB even Fernandinho, who can score from nothing.
We've never had it so good!
If you have no other pressing issues, Sterling to Sane with a FT would be tempting me, shipped on a WC myself. Hazard Salah Sane Richarlison RLC looks one fine midfield!
Stubborn-ness never works out in my experience.
I did really well last season (4K OR)...however would've done even better had I bit the bullet and got Josh King in for the 2nd half of the season...but simply refused cos everyone else had him...I needed some amount of differential in an attempt to move around rather than go with the crowds.
Had a slightly ropey season the year before because I refused to get Ozil in when he was assisting for fun and scoring quite often. Didn't like him as a player then, don't like him still.
Don't shun the template if you value OR 🙂 Maverick picks rarely come off.

I don't have Salah. He dropped to 9.1m recently and I didn't go for it. Seems out of reach now as Coutinho offers similar value for less.
I havent had either and ive gone from 700k to 150k in the last few weeks.
I'm also without Sane and Salah in FPL. Got Salah in Sky and TFF as the value was too good to ignore.
I set my GW8 WC up with Hazard in mind, Kane was a definite with one other premium, Azpi, Davies and a City CB were the other easy choices, this left me short in the middle. Now I'm trying to move money from defence to midfield to get Pogba in and it's tough.

Trying to decide whether to change Sterling & Stones to Pogba and Oti for -4 or Choupo and Stones to Mee & Pogba. There is some -12 lunacy that involves Carrol to Pogba and Mee & Dunk coming in but I can't bring in so many players with poor fixtures for -12.
No Salah is suicide he's already breaking records. He's almost on a Ronaldo midfielder level scoring pace. He may not quite maintain it but even if he drops down to his Roma level of the past 2 years it still makes him the top Midfielder in the game.
I haven't had Salah, Sane or Lukaku all season and am at 17k with all 3 chips in tact despite about 8 captain fails. Unless your rivals are like top 100, that's not the reason.
No Salah, no Sane - rank 2M+. Putting it right on Sane this weekend looking at the next 3 fixtures. I already have Silva and Sterling but will eventually lose Sterling for a Liverpool mid. At my rank I think a punt on Mane or Cout might be a better gamble with Salah ownership.
Yeah I’m in the same boat. Rather than salah and sane I’ve had Alli and sterling. Swing of about 100 points and a million pounds in 3 weeks to my rivals.

Think your team is only 1-3 Transfer away from Great (picking the right ones is hard part)... but your overall question should be: Do u want 3 Premium Strikers or more Strength in MID(maybe def)?
My answer is always NO to Strikers (mostly cause my fav players are MID’s)...But think easiest way to offer help is to point out the top priority/weakest link, IMO, for each position(*=needs to go ASAP!)
