Saturday’s events end with the headline act, as leaders Manchester City host Spurs at the Etihad Stadium.

The big team news is undoubtedly the omission of David Silva, reportedly due to “personal reasons”. We have no further explanation as yet for a player who was the most signed ahead of Gameweek 18, with over 278,000 drafting him in.

Silva had returned four goals from his previous four Gameweeks and his absence will be felt by City, with İlkay Gündogan coming in to replace the Spaniard.

For Spurs, Dele Alli returns to the starting line-up as expected, though Danny Rose plays back-to-back league matches for the first time this season, with Ben Davies kept on the bench. Kieran Trippier returns at right-back.

Intriguingly, two of the most sold players this week – Leroy Sane (sold by 166,000) and Harry Kane (sold by 135,000) – are in opposition and will be under scrutiny.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

What to do with this team?

    Fabianski (Foster)
    Kola Christensen Otamendi (Mbemba Simpson)
    Sterling Cout Salah Ritchie (Carroll)
    Kane Morata DCL

    Do I:

    A) Kola to Jones for free
    B) Kola/Mbemba to Jones/Ogbonna for -4
    C) Coutinho to Pogba
    D) B+C for -8

Kinda want to get rid of Ritchie aswell, but if I get rid of mbemba I can do 4-3-3 until next week and get rid of him then

Should I take a risk a ship Mustafi out tonight for Jones or Smalling or should I wait and be priced out ?
Dont trust Wenger & his medical staff, last year they said that Cazorla will be back soon...

Kane and Spurs do my head in. Depoitre can be any other forward up to 5.5. How’s it look?

    Pope
    Tarkowski/Otamendi/Christensen/Alonso
    Hazard/Sterling/KdB/Richarlison/Salah
    Lukaku

    Elliot/Depoitre/Dunk/DCL

I like it. I've been mulling Depoitre myself.

Since the real value is in midfield I was thinking

Kane, RLC, Gross -> Rooney, Son, Pogba

I'll obviously wait till Pogba finishes his ban. Does it make sense though?

Sterling rising quickly this evening. Rising before league cup quarter defo. I might even have to move o my 3 transfers minus 4 tonight. Risky but I'll be priced out.

According to baps system why does a striking scoring get more points than a midfielder or defender. Fpl points system seems more balanced with 4,5,6 and I think this should be reflected in the baps system. No?

Defenders and mids clock up bps for meaningless passing etc which forwards don’t really get involved with ... have to balance it some way otherwise a forward would never get bonus points even with a brace
