After Man United squeezed past West Brom at The Hawthorns, we now make our way to the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth entertain Liverpool at 4.30pm.

Owners of Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino can breathe a sigh of relief as all three continue in the visitors’ XI. But Sadio Man’s Fantasy stock goes from bad to worse as he drops to the bench for the third time in six Gameweeks.

The top scoring player in Fantasy Premier League, Salah was selected as the number one captain for the first time this season, handed the armband by 20.9% of managers.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have struggled for goals at Anfield of late, netting just once at home to Everton and failing to find a way past West Brom.

Yet Salah’s form on the road – 33 points in his last three away outings – bodes well for the Merseysiders.

Similarly, Coutinho has flourished on his travels, bagging three sets of double-digits in his previous four road trips, while Firmino – sold by 79,000+ heading into Gameweek 18 – served up 13 points at Brighton in his last away appearance.

They’ll also by buoyed by the Bournemouth defensive numbers in front of their own fans – Eddie Howe’s side are ranked third worst for shots conceded in the box (72) and fifth bottom for attempts against (117).

The visitors’ defensive displays away from Anfield offers encouragement for the Cherries, though, as they look to replicate last season’s 4-3 win in the corresponding fixture.

Only two teams – Stoke and Palace – have conceded more big chances away from home than Liverpool’s 23, though both have played nine times on their travels to the Merseysiders’ eight.

That could be good news for Jermain Defoe, then – he returns to the hosts XI, having scored twice against Palace in his previous start in Gameweek 16.

Is it crazy to bring in Sterling for David Silva for -4? If its true that Silva lost hes newborn baby he can be influenced by that and maybe benched next game?

Burnley have conceded 3 goals at home all season. Their home opponents:
WBA, CRY, HUD, WHU, NEW, SWA, ARS, WAT, STK.

Most of these are the worst teams with the worst attacks in the league, your argument is relative.

Excellent point. And Burnley played Palace when the latter were going through their incredible start of 7 games without scoring. Not the Palace now, who are in strong form.

And they were absolutely dominated by Watford until Zeegelaar got sent off.

Anyway, I think James Yorke put it the best, comparing the conversion rates of Burnley's opponents to facing Roberto Soldado every week. That just can't go on forever.

Good point. The fixtures are nice if you can take the GW21 blank, but the price drop makes me think of selling now and then buying back for same or lower price for GW22.

Not that there's anybody else really appealing. Who are people selling him for? Apparently not Kun.

        Rooney? Really, dudes? Rooney?

To all: Burnley are riding their luck, like they did last season before the luck turned and they crashed down. They're better than last season, but that's not great.

Kane had 10 shots against Burnley the last time they played, from pretty decent locations too. The blocks are nice until the ball deflects on target and the GK has no chance whatsoever to save it.

      1. Regin
        • 8 Years

i think we can start talking about Kane from GW 22 onwards. Till then, sell him. I just sold him before this GW for Firmino & see how that paid off, Firmino making my day!

        1. Camp No No
          • 12 Years
          8 years, 13 days ago

Yeah, I got Firmino too. With Kane. Kane has Burnley and Southampton before GW21, those are really nice fixtures. And he's dead certain to play both matches. I'm not sure who I would like to have in his place. Not Rooney.

Yeah. When Spurs has a CL match midweek, and big six matches around it - and maybe a blank before or after them.

He literally isn't playing only the weak teams in the league.

At any rate, if I was going to sell him, I would have sold him before the CITY match, not before the Burnley match.

Don't think I'll be giving him the armband but I won't be selling, they've had a lot of injuries at the back recently and if Tarkowski picks up a retrospective ban for his elbow against Brighton it'll be happy days.

Let's not get too carried away with Firmino and think he's in Kane's bracket - 2 returns in 8 GW's and Solanke waiting to take his place for Swansea at home.

Don't get me wrong, I love him - I broke my team to get him in GW4 - but I'm just very wary of being taken in by one performance and big return.

You think a -4 is worth over just 2 GWs?

Is the following worth a hit?

    Young -> Pogba
    Niasse -> Austin

Or any other 6.2m or less striker instead?

Quite happy with Bobby's haul today, but it could be trick going forward. Alot of strikers lurking around for pool getting starts and minutes. Are you worried as Firmino owners ?

i'm not a Firmino owner, but I wouldn't be worried about that apart from the occasional rest/rotation over the next few weeks... Firmino is probably the first name on Klopp's team sheet due to all the work he does off the ball...
