The curtain comes down on the second of four quick-fire festive Gameweeks this evening as Crystal Palace welcome Arsenal to Selhurst Park.

Up against the only side yet to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans, the Gunners’ Alexandre Lacazette is the tenth top captain pick for Gameweek 20, handed the armband by 2.1% of Fantasy Premier League managers.

Having found the net in each of the last two, Mesut Ozil is the visitors’ form player, though Alexis Sanchez was back on the scoresheet against Liverpool last time out.

Both are owned by just 2% and could prove big differentials this evening.

Tonight’s teamsheet brings good news for the 11% still holding Sead Kolasinac, as he returns to the starting XI for the first time in four Gameweeks as the visitors revert to a wing-back set-up

The hosts, meanwhile, welcome back Christian Benteke from suspension. He bagged a goal and assist in his previous league appearance away to Swansea to hint at a return to form, though it’s Wilfried Zaha who has been the Eagles’ most impressive attacker of late.

Stationed up top in a front two, he has scored or assisted in five of his six home matches since returning from injury.

That output has been key to a run that’s seen Palace score two goals in each of the last six at Selhurst Park and could prove pivotal against an Arsenal rearguard with just two clean sheets in six on the road.

Really wish these casual numpties would stop selling arguably the best captain option in Hazard before Stoke. Need that 0.1 for the DGW!

Is Alonso viable captain option this week given how far forward he has been playing? Clean sheet and goal or assist must be good possibility as minimum?

FFS health warning: I brought Alonso back in after stupidly selling a few weeks ago. He won't be doing anything major this week. I certainly settle for an assist or cleanie. Stoke are one of those annoying sides who score when you don't want them to.

Regarding the hot topic on Spurs mids for the DGW, who are you going to get?

Need to get rid of Daniels to possibly field an 11.
Got 1.3ITB but if I downgrade him to a 4.5 I can son for rich next week.
Best 4.5 options? Is Lowton a good option for a mee double up?
      Have Kenny and masuaka

Burnley's fixtures not ideal in short to medium term but improve long term. Double up at this stage not ideal.

Any other options? Or should I drop the son plan and just go with Kane lanzini masuaku for the dgw?
I don't see good options for upto 6.1
I got Christensen Mee Kenny masuaku

I would only get another DGW player in if you're keen to keep them longer term. The DGW is a mirage if you only want them for that single purpose. West Ham's fixtures look nice and Spurs are OK in the short term.
Don't blame you for wanting rid of Daniels though - I held him too long.

              1. Vlekz
                  8 years, 2 days ago

I don't really want to. 2ft was what I had planned.
But with the number of rotations and exactly 11 players including Daniels could really blow my gw up.
What are you doing with Daniels? You got cover for him?

I sold him for Ogbonna a couple of weeks ago. He's since scored 1 and 0 so that went well.
If there are many rotations across the board this week then maybe you can get away with selling Daniels.

Same here. But as I wasn't afraid of Lukaku's ownership and lot of (C) on him earlier this season here with Salah I am afraid a lot. Owning him and not giving him armband will make huge red arrow in case of brace and Hazard blank - both is possible to be fair. Both will start, both won't play 90 mins but Chelsea isn't convincing in the way they play. Of course it can easily end up just like NUFC-Man City where just a single goal gave Sterling double digit score but I like the way Liverpool is playing in front of opponent's goal so it will be Salah for me.
I wish all Hazard (C) good luck and I hope you will be rewarded with big score, I don't mind

Looked at minutes to be played, I think Salah will be the best option as I see Leicester being possibly a tight goal fest and Salah might stay until the end while Chelsea's Eden and Morata may get early rests when they turn Stoke over.

It may look risky, what about Kun for (C) ?

Thanks Fitzy. Very nice overall rank for you, congratulations! Who will be your C?

Haha, thanks mate - you must be easily impressed... 😉 Salah for me this week.

With 10 years of history in FPL it is not so easy to impress me 🙂 I just have shitty season, so I am glad to see some one successful.
Salah would be my fist choice, but I need to do something different because I need to improve my overall rank. I am thinking about Firmino (not so risky), Cout (personally, my first choice, but I am afraid of rotation). Or to play totally different and bring Kun for C. Nobody will do that, and he can explode at some point. Is he starter for sure?

Who would you be dropping if you brought in Aguero? I wouldn't want to lose any of your forwards, Morata is another option for you this week?

Looking at Morata`s history, he looks not so explosive. He will score maybe one goal, he will not make difference, this is why I am considering Kun, he was so close last game, he could explode.

I am thinking about Kane > Aguero and WC or Hit free chip for DGW (bringing back Kane for Kun, and involving Arnautovic, Alli (or Son) ).

                      Thanks!

Would you rather have 3 players from Spurs and 2 from West Ham?

Triple up on Spurs might make more sense and rewarding.

Are you going to be happy keeping them afterwards? Or do you plan to sell for -4 or -8?
