Monitor – Gabriel Jesus

Just three Gameweeks now stand between Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers and the long, dark teatime of the soul that is the summer break.

Yet with mini-league titles still to settle and another Double Gameweek on the horizon, difficult line-up decisions continue to present themselves. After a pair of red-hot Gameweeks across which his Man City side have racked up an impressive eight goals, Gabriel Jesus has firmly inserted himself into the Fantasy conversation and summarily dismantled the Wildcard template frontline of a Harry Kane – Romelu Lukaku/Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Jamie Vardy triumvirate.

With goals in each of his last three starts, should Jesus displace one of his fellow heavy-hitters within our frontlines? And how much should we consider sacrificing to ensure we have the Brazilian on board?

In this latest Monitor article for members, we will be breaking down the striker’s season, recent form, and evaluating his potential over the final handful of games versus altnernative targets in the Man City squad.

Kosc is alright. Mustafi, as I said below, is not a defender's defender.

Mustafi is a classic example of a defender who doesn't like defending. This is when you realise defenders like Jamie Carragher are worth their weight in gold.

Disagree. Koscielny tried to hold up Griezmann. But did you see Mustafi? He wasn't sprinting back to provide cover. He only started running hard after Griezmann was 1-on-1 with Ospina and then he slipped because he was running to fast

I think Kosc could have dealt with it much better though.

Yes. Because he sets the wrong tone as the manager. There was one thing the defenders had to do which is protect the penalty box. And Mustafi is jogging back when Kosc is one-on-one against Griezmann.

His fault for everything. After 22 years his team is defending like this. In that time someone can have a child and teach them to defend better

        Hennessey - (4m)
        Bavies - Dummett - Lowton - (Chilwell) - (Bednarek)
        Salah - Sterling - Sane - Arnie - (Kenedy)
