Our partner game Yahoo are offering yet another big-money contest for Fantasy managers this weekend.

They have a Premier League £2k Saturday contest which takes in all six of that day’s matches from 3pm onwards, finishing with the 5.30pm kick-off between Swansea City and Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium.

The contest is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to four teams. The top 100 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £200 going to the first place.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a unique scoring system which is ideal for those members of our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

If you’re new to Yahoo, you can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Before getting started on your lineup, it’s worth checking out our Strategy Guide, which assesses the types of players who profit from the rule set.

FFS Strongest XI

Martin Dubravka – £14
Victor Moses – £16
Florent Hadergjonaj – £10
James Tarkowski – £14
Johann Berg Gudmundsson – £17
Riyad Mahrez – £24
Willian – £22
Luka Milivojevic – £18
Wilfried Zaha – £23
Ayoze Perez – £17
Charlie Austin – £18

A home encounter with West Brom brings Newcastle’s Martin Dubravka into our weekend line-up. Rafa Benitez’s side have been in fine form at both ends of the pitch in front of their own fans, winning each of the last four at St James’ Park in a run that has seen them concede just one goal. Meanwhile, the Baggies arrive having scored just nine goals away from home. The Yahoo scoring system – which awards goalkeepers points for wins or draws and double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet – should benefit the on-loan Slovakian.

A goal and assist away to Burnley last time out highlights the attacking threat of Victor Moses as Chelsea make their way to Swansea. Now up to three goals and five assists for the season, the right wing-back has fired 31 attempts on goal – a tally bettered only by his suspended team-mate Marcos Alonso among Yahoo defenders. Given that the Swans have scored just two goals in their last five league matches, Antonio Conte’s side could be in line for a fifteenth clean sheet of the campaign in Saturday’s late kick-off.

Huddersfield’s Florent Hadergjonaj looks a snip at just £10 for the visit of Everton. Over his last six matches, the raiding right-back is joint-top among defenders for chances created (11) and sits second and first respectively for crosses (47) and successful crosses (11). David Wagner’s men have upped their resilience at the John Smith’s of late, chalking up a pair of clean sheets in their last three home matches.

A home encounter with Brighton bodes well for Burnley’s James Tarkowski. Although The Clarets are without a clean sheet in the last five, their opponents have struggled for a cutting edge on the road and have failed to score in seven of their last ten away matches. At home, Tarkowski is ranked among Burnley’s top two players for successful tackles (23), interceptions (28) and blocks (18).

A Yahoo favourite, Johann Berg Gudmundsson offers multiple routes into the points for Burnley’s showdown with Brighton. In the last six matches, the Icelandic international has delivered four assists and sits among the top two players for crosses (64) and successful crosses (15). Gudmundsson has recorded 14 shots and as many key passes, supplementing this with eight successful tackles and six interceptions in that period.

Riyad Mahrez is our preferred Leicester pick for the trip to a Crystal Palace side that’s without a clean sheet in their last five at Selhurst Park. Away from home, the Algerian has played a part in 44% of his side’s goals when on the pitch – more than Jamie Vardy’s 41%. Mahrez is ranked first for shots (36), key passes (22) and fouls won (26) among the Foxes’ contingent on the road and claims second spot for successful crosses and shots on target (14 apiece).

Rested for Chelsea’s second match of Double Gameweek 34, we expect Willian to return to the teamsheet for the trip to Swansea. Over his last six matches, the Brazilian has tallied two goals and an assist, recording more shots (19) and efforts on target (ten) than any team-mate, in addition to supplying 15 key passes. The Swans, meanwhile, have one clean sheet in seven attempts, conceding 14 times in that run.

With three goals and two assists apiece over their last six matches, Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha will be key figures as Crystal Palace look to clinch survival at home to Leicester.

Dead-ball specialist Milivojevic is among the Eagles’ top three players for both successful tackles (13) and interceptions (13) during this period, completing more passes (237) than any team-mate.

Meanwhile, Zaha’s new role up front means that he leads the way for shots (12), efforts in the box (seven) and attempts on target (seven) for Roy Hodgson’s side. Furthermore, he has been fouled 16 times from Gameweek 30 onwards, more than any player in the Premier League.

Ayoze Perez has been instrumental in Newcastle’s recent improvement, thanks to three goals and a pair of assists in the last four Gameweeks. A total of 13 efforts on goal in that period is more than any player from Yahoo’s Saturday contest, with the Spaniard’s work-rate – seven successful tackles and four interceptions – also profiting from the scoring system. He now faces a West Brom backline that have managed just two clean sheets in their last 16 road trips.

Back on the Southampton teamsheet for last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea, Charlie Austin looks set to lead the line for a vital home encounter against Bournemouth. With Mark Hughes’ men in desperate need of the points, Austin’s threat in the box could punish a Cherries defence that has managed just one clean sheet in their last 22 attempts. In an injury-hit season, Austin’s average of 104 minutes per goal is bettered only by Mohamed Salah (85.7) and Sergio Aguero (93.8) in 2017/18.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up may well be subject to change.

The Weekend Contests

As well as the Premier League £2k Saturday contest, Yahoo are also offering a pair of Premier League £1k Sunday contest.

This consists of both matches from that day – West Ham vs Man City and Man United vs Arsenal – and finishes with Monday’s 8pm encounter at Wembley between Spurs and Watford.

Guaranteed to run, this costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to two teams. The top 50 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £100 going to the first place.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

You must be over 18 years of age, resident in the UK, and of legal capacity to register with Yahoo Daily Sports and open an Account. If you sign up, please always play responsibly.

Its worth to take Mahrez out for a hit and buy Sane/Silva this gw? Or wait and buy Sterling în gw 37?

Report guys, can you help on that lot :

Opponent leading by 50 so pretty much impossible to catch.

    He has :

    [Mahrez] - Sterling - Ki - Grob - KDB
    [Kane] - Jesus - Barnes

    I do :

    [Mahrez] - Willian - Salah - Lingard - Kenedy
    [Kane] - Lukaku - Austin

so instead of getting Sterling and Jesus thinking of doing :

    Mahrez + Lingard -> Son + Sane (or Silva? ) for -4
and keep Lukaku for one more GW. And hope my differentials work.

    What do you think?

I'm losing by 80 points and am not throwing in the tower just yet. He does not have Salah that's an advantage. I suggest that you play your own game and get differentials. No Sterling and Jesus would haunt you though. I can't take of 2 better players to bring into the gameweek. If you want a differential why not Eriksen over Sterling and go all out with Lukaku captain / Salah since he going to captain Kane

Differentials only work when they get more points - sterling and Jesus are great picks, look elsewhere.

    Leaves me with

    DDG
    Lowton Dunk Cedric
    Son salah Willian Lingard
    Barnes Kane jesus

    Ryan alonso gross Morgan

1.7itb to bring in city mid for the double by using Lingard and gross to fodder (Kenedy/king) and sterling

Both IMO. Even ditching Mahrez at CP - while he has been getting 2s and 3s for a month, is a risk for -4. Less so for free. Mahrez is capable of a double digit score against anyone. Lukaku less explosive but ARS will field a rotated side in all likelihood.

Hmmm would you save them and mini wild card with more info to prep for the double? Mahrez and Leicester has felt like he is on the beach for a few weeks

            1. Ibracadabra
              • 16 Years
              7 years, 8 months ago

That is what I am doing, but it is only because I am leading my mini league by 40 points + I want to have 2 FTs entering next week so I can make 3 or 4 moves with more information for only -4 or worst case -8.

I am very nervous going without City this week and could have done Mahrez-> Sterling for free before the LIV CL game but am priced out by 0.1m so further strengthened my decision to stick.

I even own Christensen who likely won't play but will have Dunk coming in off the bench. Think the flexibility of 2-4 moves next week works in my specific scenario but for those looking to take a risk there is nothing wrong with bringing in 2 City assets or a Spurs + City and hoping for a 2 or 3 goal win - also a good strategy. No right or wrong answer.

      De Gea - Ryan

      Christensen - Vertonghen - Morgan - Lowton - Dunk

      Mahrez - Willian - Son - Lingard - Albrighton

      Kane - Lukaku - Barnes

To get Salah in, I'll do Mahrez-> Salah and one more transfer. Who do you think I should trade?

      Vertonghen -> 4.3 defender
      Son -> 6.6 mid
      Willian -> 5.4 mid
      Lukaku -> 9.8 forward

Or do 3 transfers and lose -8?

Questions for those wildcarding this week to bench boost in GW37.

        1) How many DGW players are you planning on having for GW37?
        2) Who's on your list of 'essentials' for GW37?
        3) Who are your best budget picks for each position for GW37?

I'm finding balancing the budget hard when trying to get 3 x City, plus Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester and United.

When in doubt, you've got to turn to Fantasy Football Scout!

He'll save some energy for Roma.
          I hope he stays quiet.

Some weeks ago I was chasing a 100pts lead from my ML leader, who's been leading since GW1.
Tried give it everything and I am now 20pts behind. He's got his BB left, while I have TC. But I don't think his BB will reap high, since he has almost bench fodders on bench.
Now what do you suggest as captaincy this week? I am pretty sure he'll go with Salah.

Do I go Salah too and expect my Kane, Sterling and Lukaku to outscore his Vardy, Sane and Murray?
        Or do I go Kane?

I’m in almost the same situation. I’m thinking to go safe with Salah this week and TC in GW37 to do the business

            Cheers.
After a whole week on Kane, I just switched armband to Salah. But still unsure.

I’m inclined to A too. Lukaku should do well and Kane still has prove his worth

Asked about this 2 times here but still torn apart between those 2 options:
Barnes vs Kenedy (most comments suggested Barnes btw).

I think the player I choose to start with will flop as the other one will shine, haha.

kenedy for me.Always prefer players who can get points on their own than players who need supply

        DDG, (Ryan)
        Vert, Lowton, Cedric (Alonso, Morgan)
Salah (c), Mahrez, Willian, Gud (GroB)
        Kane, Vardy, Murray

0.0m ITB, 1 FT, only TC left

        A) Willian and Mahrez to Sterling and Kenedy for a hit, then Vardy to Jesus next GW.

        B) Save FT and do A next GW if nothing more urgent comes up.

        Guys, some help here please:

        Hennessey
        Ben Davies,Yedlin, Lowton
        Sterling, Salah, D.Silva,Son, Mane(*)
        Barnes, Jesus, Aubameyang(*)

I am thinking to sold Aubameyang + Mane for Kane + Milivojevic to get Kane and some fund to upgrade my defense or maybe Kane + Ramesy.

        Please advise
