While interest from Fantasy managers was high in last night’s encounter between Argentina and Croatia, there is little at stake in this meeting between their Group D rivals at 4pm today.

The most-selected Iceland and Nigeria assets on show in Volgograd are budget picks, with Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho (£4.0m) the only player in either squad with an ownership of over 10%. Defender Bryan Idowu, also listed at £4.0m, features in 5% of Fantasy squads, meanwhile.

No goalkeeper scored more Gameround 1 points than Iceland’s Hannes Halldorsson (£5.0m), whose penalty save from Lionel Messi has attracted modest interest: the filmmaker-turned-footballer is now owned by 2.9% of McDonald’s FIFA players.

Emil Hallfredsson (£4.5m) is yet another bargain-bin buy with sizeable backing: the Iceland midfielder is owned by 4.2% of Fantasy managers.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alfred Finnbogason (£6.5m), who were both involved in their country’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Argentina, are very much Fantasy differentials, with ownerships of less than 2%.

The Starting Line-ups:

ICELAND XI (4-4-2): Halldorsson; Magnusson, R Sigurdsson, Arnason, Saevarsson; Bjarnason, Gunnarsson, G Sigurdsson, Gislason; Bodvarsson, Finnbogason.

NIGERIA XI (4-5-1): Uzoho; Idowu, Troost-Ekong, Balogun, Omeruo; Musa, Mikel, Ndidi, Etebo, Moses; Iheanacho.

Replace dimaria with Banega and they might have a chance. Banega only one of few good passers and still benched by poor coach

In a bit of a dilemma here.

I thought I had brought on Uzoho for Almuaiouf, but it turns out I did it for MD3 rather than MD2.

If I've understood the rules correctly, if I make any captaincy changes or manual subs then Uzoho won't autosub in for Almuaiouf who didn't play at all.

      This means I'm between:

      A) Not bringing on JRod vs Poland, Sakai & Inui vs Senegal so that I can get Uzoho's 7 points.

      B) Bringing on JRod vs Poland, Sakai & Inui vs Senegal in the hope that they outscore my 3 worst performing players by at least 8 points - so they would have to get 13 points in total.

I think A is the more logical choice even though I could miss out on three potential returns - to be fair I can't see Japan doing much against Senegal so I'm not expecting anything from Inui or Sakai, but keeping J. Rod on the bench could prove to be a mistake.

      Thoughts?

That's tough but I would make the subs. More chance of reward that way. JRod has to go for it now and likely Senegal vs Japan will be a very open game.

If I don't make the subs then I've got 7 points guaranteed.

If we assume that Japan lose to Senegal while Sakai and Inui get 4 pts in total, then J Rod would need at least 9 points for the autosubs to pay off. That would mean he needs at least two returns.

I like a gamble though. If JRod starts points for him likely. Then if either of your Japanese players get points you will be kicking yourself. But yes making no subs is the safer option.

The only way it would massively backfire is if each player gets returns. I really can't see Japan keeping a CS against Senegal and I think Senegal will score at least 2 so lets say Sakai gets 1 pt.

That would mean JRod + Inui need at least 12 pts between them. So even if one of them scores and the other one blanks, that's a total of 9 points from the two.

If both of them score then that's a net gain of 2 points, but it's a big gamble to take IMO.

If jrod is confirmed fit to play go b if still doubt go A. Poland were very poor last match and surely colombia need to to bounce. Can advice me below mate?

Assuming Sakai gets 1 pt then Inui and JRod would need at least 12 points between them for the manual subs to pay off - also neither player is nailed on as Inui is also a rotation risk.

Even if Inui gets 2 pts and JRod scores twice, that's only a net gain of 2 points.

                And sure, I replied.

Have you made any captaincy changes?

How do auto subs work? No changes whatsoever, or no sub changes whatsoever?

                  Just checked.

If no manager substitutions or captain changes are made, automatic substitutions will take place at the end of the Round, after all fixtures for that Round have been completed.

No, I put it on Salah and left it there.

I think auto subs only come into effect if you leave you don't make any changes at all but I'm not 100% sure.

I'd stick. With the absence of BPs, even he scores 2, he gets like 10 points - which is hardly much better. Expecting anything more is too much.

Have 3 queries wrt Belgium vs Tunisia:
1: Who better pick for assist/goals
                  A)KDB or
                  B)Mertens
                  2: Who is better captain?
                  A)Hazard
                  B)Lukaku
                  Currently on 1A2A
3: What are Belgium cleansheet chances?

1 - Not sure, but going on recent history it should be Mertens as KDB hasn't scored that many goals for Belgium lately.
2B - Lukaku seems to get more shots on target than Hazard while Hazard is the more creative player.
                      3 - Medium to high

Need him to be fit for Poland game otherwise I'll be far too reliant on Lukaku tomorrow!
