Yeah, just about. Wouldn't expect anyone who has made the quarters and beyond to start the season. Players typically get 3 weeks off then have a mini pre season.

That being said, the likes of Henderson and Kane will probably sacrifice holidays to play GW1.

Like many, I'm not sure on Zaha as a forward now (less pts). Also don't really like Sanchez under Mou, but he has been rested during the WC, so maybe he'll be a good differential. I like it.

As a Chelsea fan, no not really. Unless Sarri comes in and transforms him he seems to have been in decline for a few years now and is just continuing to move further away from the first team

No, but Pedro could be a starter in start of the season with Hazard and Willian in WC.

Fifa fantasy is a fad. FPL is the real deal. I actually enjoy tinkering on the FPL website more than putting a team into the WC fantasy.

Do you really need Kane and Eriksen? I think most managers are going to have to make a choice between one of those two.

There was an article posted a couple of days ago explaining the basics of FPL.

General things to note, once you pick your captain for the week it’s locked in, you can’t change from Saturday to Sunday. You also can’t make manual substitutions during the game week.

As noted above look at the fixtures so you can rotate a pair of cheap goal keepers or 4.5m defenders.

Don’t buy any defensive midfielders such as Kante or Matic.

Don't waste your chips, there will be double gameweeks later in the season as bad weather and cup games postpone original fixtures, keep your chips to maximise these weeks. You can only use one chip at a time.

Hits can be useful for some... people, but remember, if you are getting them in for one week, they need to score/keep clean sheet just to break even with the person you are taking out.

Take advice but follow your gut instinct and the data you trust

Pick nailed on players. Form over fixtures. It's a long season, if you have a bad week don't panic. Don't spunk your chips early. Go with your gut instinct. Watch as many games as you can.

He’s a great talent, but two things worry me. First, his price for a newly promoted player and second, are teams going to figure that if they stop him they stop Fulham?

Has a lot of talent no doubt, the physicality and intensity might take some time adjusting to though.

Championship footy is tough for sure, but PL is less forgiving.

Worth a shot for the first few GWs with their fixtures. Not like there’s an awful lot there to challenge him at Everton.

Siggy at 7.5 could be the best bet.

Coleman, Baines, Theo all on watchlist from Everton, I do pick any of those before Tosun. Siggy could be great but he’s just edging into expensive territory where he needs to be delivering regularly. He is well capable of it though

Robertson & Alonso (Azpi) will outscore most mids and strikers in the same price range.

VVD imo. I feel like Robertson will have competition from Moreno now he is fit again so he won’t be 100% nailed, whereas VVD should be. Also with Gomez, Clyne, TAA all fit now I wouldn’t be surprised to see Klopp give any of those the odd game at left back as well, he now has 5x decent full backs to keep happy

Well, I hope another CB comes in because neither Matip or Lovren are consistent enough to win the league.

Seeing as Lovren is in a semi final, Matip probably starts the season as things stand.

Hopefully another CB is signed though.

Not for me, there's 3 players who can play RB. 4 if you count Fabinho.

I think as it stands, barring any injury, Clyne or Gomez will start the season, and Trent will be eased back in, making the spot his once again.

I'd consider starting with him but if Mahrez adds to what's already there and nobody leaves... there are far too many great options for anyone to start enough games for premium assets.

Probably. All these players you're asking about are risks. You should only select them if you see them as particularly great value and have a strong enough bench to deal with their absence. These kind of nailedness questions are guesswork at this stage anyway.

Zaha if he stays at Palace. Otherwise, neither, due to fixtures. Although Zaha might do well at Everton or Arsenal, but not a bigger team

If Zaha moves, Tosun is probably the best 7m (assuming he looks like being a starter under the new manager) for the first few games.

He sounds the part but their opening fixtures are not kind, sounds like he could be a budget Alonso.

Barry Douglas sounds like a character from Phoenix Nights. So on that basis, it's a yes from me.

5m is steep imo.

Downgrade Sane to Mahrez or D. Silva to upgrade Daniels. Start Daniels' replacement along with Deulofeu at the expense of Mkhi and Bednarek. That's what I would likely do with that team.
