Fantasy managers back Spurs over Man United in Monday Night Football

A large portion of Fantasy managers are backing the key Spurs’ men for their Monday night trip to Manchester United.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) comes into the match as the most popular player and captained by just under 500,000+ managers.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) were backed by more in Gameweek 3, and the England captain needs two goal involvements to outshine them both.

Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is the next most fashionable member of the Spurs squad, 24 percent of Fantasy managers hoping for a repeat of recent free-kicks scored against Croatia at the World Cup and Fulham in Gameweek 2.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (£6.0m) remains owned by just over a quarter of managers, despite not yet keeping a clean sheet in 2018/19. Although with Spurs bringing plenty of attacking talent to Old Trafford, this match is unlikely to be the last straw for him.

The Spaniard is one of just two United players with double-figure ownership. The other one is Paul Pogba (£8.1m), currently backed by 18 percent following back-to-back converted penalties.

There will be some interest Christian Eriksen (£9.4m) and Dele Alli (£9.1m) with the Dane still just ahead of his English team-mate’s ownership, inspite of losing some set pieces duties to Trippier. Eriksen sits in 11 percent of squads with Alli in 7.6.

The secondary defenders (in terms of popularity) for each side are Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). The United man is in 8.7 percent of teams with Vertonghen in 10 percent.

SOMETHING ABOUT JOE AND WILLY BOLY.

Everyone getting Lucas Moura in, aren’t you worried he’ll get rotated once Son is back week after next? I’ve had him since the start and was planning on getting rid next week

Son is definitely due for a break after the World Cup and Asian Games. I don't expect him to be playing for another few weeks yet -- even if he does come back instead of doing military service. Moura is playing so well that there's no need to drop him either.

Moura was very present last night, just like in the games before.

Sure, he scored two but the rest of the game he was constantly moving up and down the pitch, closing down the keeper and putting pressure on the defence when he didn't have the ball and making things happen.

      Son doesn't offer that.

Anyone able to offer a bit of advice...

Have actually had a good start but this weekend looks like a car crash waiting to happen so not sure if I should wildcard to extinguish all fires.

    Ederson Stek
    Luiz Bailly VVD AWB Kabasele
    Salah Mane Rich Maddison Cairney
    Mitrovic Ings Aguero

And actually really happy with front 3 but obviously rich needs looking at and I think I want Hazard in too. Was going to play 5-2-3 this week but now Bailly not playing last night throws that into chaos.... help?

      Mendy, Robbo, Alonso, AWB, Bennett
      Salah, Haz, Moura, Mkhi, Guenduozi

Could use 1FT to get him back but it would be chasing points at this stage and Son might displace him in a couple of GWs.

I’m down to the bare bones for this week and will need to take a hit to potentially field XI (Arnie, Cairney, Bailly, Bednarek and maybe even WB not guaranteed to play!)

Thoughts on a -4 for Bailly out:

    A) Montoya (or Duffy?) to free up funds
    B) Luiz (fixtures)
    C) Pereira (Fixture swing from GW5)
    D) move someone else

He spent all his time calling Wenger a "specialist in failure" and "voyeur" for pesisting with attacking football. Jose tried attacking football last night and he lost 3-0 and he wants credit for being adventurous?

He wants respect for winning 3 PL trophies when he spent all his career trying to embarrass Wenger?

1FT, 1.8 ITB, which of these would you do (or multiple for hits)

    A) Jota -> Lucas Moura

    E) Auba -> Aguero

Mitrovic over Tosun probably the biggest priority IMO. Auba/Jota ok for another week.

Tosun -> Mitrovic makes sense. Leaves me 2.2 ITB...Jota -> Dilva worth -4, or Jota -> Walcott?

Could also go Cairney -> Walcott with that £, and downgrade Jota later. Could still afford Auba -> Aguero later that way.

Am okay starting AWB for 2 weeks waiting for Rich to return.

Bilva. But my opinion is solely based on the fact that he seems nailed on. If he gets benched I will probably say Lucas.

If Lucas does not get benched he is the better choice for sure. He almost plays as a striker, Bilva plays quite deep sometimes.
