So, to continue the Lacazette discussion... I had been wondering recently does Emery really rate him? Any time I've seen him he's always looked pretty dangerous but when you consider that...

- Emery gave him 9 consecutive league starts earlier in the year
- In the last four of those Laca contributed nothing (Arsenal had 7 goals/7 assists, Laca got 1 goal)
- Since then he's only started 1 of 5 in the league and the one he started he was hauled off on 45 mins
- He's also started the dead rubber Europa match to "get confidence" according to Emery
- Which will also likely mean he starts the league cup midweek / followed by bench for Burnley 3 days later

I did question whether Emery is going cold on him, or it's fitness related, both of which are bad for FPL hence he is being sold in massive quantities... He could obviously score coming from off the bench today, but is he really worth the hassle, can this type of uncertainty be accomodated in the busiest time of the FPL season?

It's a shame as he's a pretty decent player to watch

  If he keeps scoring coming on or in EL he will eventually start PL too. He has to balance having two mint strikers in the team and Auba is in form

  I think it's more due to fitness than anything. But being new to the PL, we should expect Emery to rotate a bit, trying out different lineups etc.

  Wenger always subbed him off early. Emery is either doing the same, or subbing him on late.
  
  There's obviously a reason - be it fitness or effectiveness. Hard to tell exactly what.

    Well he did have that run of 9 starts earlier in the year, and played 90 mins in virtually all of them... but maybe that broke him physically as he hasn't been properly back in the team since

    I hear you, but i wonder would it actually be best jsut to cut ties - lots of other strikers out there doing the business that can be getting your team points
    
    Laca could of course score from the bench though, i don't think anyone doubts that. But do you want to be relying on points off the bench

    Emery is another maniac fraud so it could happen of course - but i couldn't see the logic in starting Auba today if he was going to start midweek - that's surely just asking for injury trouble. Similarly with Laca, why bench him today, bench him midweek and start him at the weekend

  Unfortunately, Lacazette's returns are not correlating with his price like every other FW at that price point: Morata, Vardy, and Firmino. But I do think he is the best player in that niche FW bracket for returns when he plays.

  Laca was worried about his future in summer 2018. He was ready to leave, but Emery told him to give it a go and he stayed. If this continues he will go in January or at latest next summer. January is possible because there are no bans on playing in the CL or EL so a top club could come in for him.

    I'd say Torreira is a good pick. One may argue that he is over performing with a 28% conversion rate over the last four. Snodgrass looks great as he's creating more chances and opportunities with assists, but I wouldn't expect Snodgrass to be banging out goals week after week with his Martial-like conversion rate of 66% over the last four.
