Scoutcast Episode 281 – Buzzing

Harry Kane’s ankle injury, which is set to keep him out of action until March, tops the bill during an action-packed show that bizarrely also takes in James Bond and Toy Story.

After taking great pleasure in looking back on their excellent Gameweek 22 scores, the Scoutcast crew tuck into the key questions from the community ahead of the next set of matches.

Kane’s absence sees David, Joe, Az and Luke discuss the best forward options, with Manchester United’s talismanic striker topping their lists. Moving money into midfield is also considered as the crew look at Dele Alli’s Buzz Lightyear-esque ability to step up whenever his Spurs’ team-mate is absent.

Whether to ditch disappointing players from the ranks of Chelsea, Everton and West Ham is another issue tackled.

Meanwhile, there are some words of warning for those looking to deploy their second wildcard now rather than save it to help navigate the double and blank Gameweeks to come.

Elsewhere, Az’s round-up of the community’s recent moves showcases a high-flying manager with a licence to thrill in the overall rankings.

The crew finish off with a look at their transfer and captaincy plans as well as the best differentials and defences in Gameweek 23.

Need to move TAA, Son and Kane on so which looks best? Also is Robbo worth 0.3 more than VVD?

    A) Robbo + Salah (C) + Jimenez (-4)
    B) Shaw + Salah (C) + Firmino (-4)
    C) Robbo + Sane (C) + Auba (-4)

    Fab, Steele
    Alonso, TAA*, Digne, Doherty, AWB

    hi all

have exact money for trent > vvd, but would be for a -4. looks like vvd is going to rise before this GW finishes.

worth doing or wait and bring in someone else? (if so who?)

    1. Waylander

My dilemma too. Not sure if taking a -4 to get rid of TAA is worth it or I should just play Bednarek.

im covered by doherty this week, so not too bad. it's more a question of having to bring in a different player next week when im priced out, and i was quite set on vvd.

    Richarlison to:

Could keep Rich but don't fancy leaving all that Kane cash in the bank; rather have it on the field.

Made a plan until GW27... (yeah I know) but I like it
Maybe only dont like Auba vs Man City but oh well 😀

    Fab
    Doherty VVD Robbo Digne
    Salah(C) Pogba Anderson Richa
    Rashford Auba

    Subs: Button, Camarasa, AWB, Success

    GW23: TAA to VVD(-4)
    GW24: Fab to De Gea
    GW25: Save
    GW26: Digne to Pereira
GW27: Richa VVD to Haz Diop

    Gives this for 27:
    De Gea
    Doherty Rice Robbo Pereira
    Salah Pogba Anderson Haz
    Rashford Auba

    Subs: Button, Camarasa, AWB, Success

not convinced by de gea, if you want into the united defence there are much better options

        For Chelsea/Spurs agreed.
Might be Eriksen or Alli, time will tell.

        About Man United.
Actually no, De Gea is the best choice in defence.
Why - nailed, will get saves, has the fixtures and not injury prone or rotation here and there like Shaw and Lindelof (dont forget they also have the Fa Cup). Think De Gea is best choice.

I like many of you got dealt two injuries for the price of one in Kane and TAA. Except I played my 2 FT's just before they were injured 😐 Do I transfer Kane out or is my team good enough to carry me until transferring him out for free? If I did anything it would be Aguero or Auba but would mean -4.

    Allison
    Doherty Rudiger Digne
    Salah Pogba Deulofeu Camarasa Eriksen

It was intentional as he gets so many chances to possibly score from set pieces and Moreno might get some game time to rest Robbo. I would have both him and Robbo with Salah if I could!!

Thinking of Son>Alli but 0.4m short. Want Snod out and Hjojberg back for 5th mid and can leave Kane until next week. Maybe Auba vs Cardiff. -4

Lads need some help. Already got Pogba, Salah, rich and Anderson in midfield...

    A or B?!!

    A) Rashford, Jiminez, Firmino, Martial

    B) Rashford, Jiminez, Kamara, Sterling

Sterling would cost -4. Worth the hit this week?

Could pay off imo, City could score 4/5 goals and he will be involved if they do. Also i can see a lot of people taking hits this week so seems a safer week to take a hit, many will be taking -8's.

Depends on how much he weighs

If his manager keeps feeding him his dinner, probably quite a lot

Looking at last season's returns he scored like Laca but played way more minutes. Will probably totally overpriced by FPL

Tempted, but depends on his price and performance. He might also make Haz better option to consider.

Bloody always 0.1m short on a WC. Let's go Haz, drop that 0.1m.

Anybody else getting De Gea soon?
Wondered between Shaw and VVD tonight and decided VVD. And do Fab to De Gea next GW. Nailed players not injury prone, nit rotated here and there and bps magnets.
