Glossing over another near miss last Gameweek – Wayne Rooney’s contribution deserved a goal but it just didn’t come – we look ahead to a weekend bathed in sunshine and lathered in goals.

As the Premier League heats up for the final furlong, three home games take our fancy, and as per usual, Paddy Power have made some tempting specials for us to test our Flutter tenner.

First up is Swansea’s Icelandic midfielder, Gylfi Thor Sigurdsson. The hammer blows cast in two of his last three outings have suddenly transformed Swansea into a top eight side – his Norse god namesake proud. Paddy have him at 6/1 to get a goal and Swansea to keep a clean sheet against Everton, which is likely the best business of the weekend. With the stats backing this up, seven home cleanies and five goals in just shy of 690 minutes of pitch time, our first Flutter fiver is spent.

Each week, Luis Suarez puts in his now customary workhorse performance with a dollop of flair, but fails to notch a goal. With Wigan at Anfield this weekend, is the scene set for Suarez to finally deliver? A Suarez goal and Liverpool to get a cleansheet at 6/4 doesn’t seem very generous from Paddy, but as the Latics have continued to struggle for goals, there is some value there to balance the risk. We’re going to take a pass on this one though and save our pennies, as a red-hot Antonio Valencia is up next.

Valencia’s return from his near career ending leg break has been an exceptional one. Back in his stride with goals and assists flowing, he and Man United, are looking good to stay the distance at the top of the table, even with the magic touch of Carlos Tevez returning to their sky blue neighbours. Paddy offer 4/1 on Valencia to provide yet another assist and United to keep a clean sheet at home to Fulham. An easy choice for our Flutter’s remaining fiver.

Our final bet is a clean-sheet treble of Man United, Liverpool and Swansea. Paddy are offering a fairly promising 7/1 on this, a price hard to beat, yet with away goals all the rage in last week’s fixtures, hitting the treble may be a bit too much of an ask.

Money Back Specials

There are two refund specials on offer from Paddy this weekend, starting at the London derby at Stamford Bridge. If Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard or John Terry score the last goal of this game, Paddy Power will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match up to £100 per customer. Similarly, down at the Britannia, if Aguero scores the last goal in City’s clash with Stoke, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match up to £100 per customer.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

A one pointer is the worry although Demps will most likely get 2 anyway so i think i will risk Surman against a poor Wolves. Thanks

Stevie G (c) this week for me. Just for the hell of it. I've got him so why not use him, it doesn't come much better than a home game to Wigan. If you dont captain him now whats the point of having him i think to myself. Sorted....... 🙂

Thinking of dropping either Dempsey or Silva for Siggy 4 point loss, worth it?
