Foden replaces Sane in the only change to either side at the Etihad

The final match of Gameweek 37 takes place this evening between Manchester City and Leicester City.

Kick-off at the Etihad Stadium is at 20:00 BST.

A win for the hosts leaves them in pole position at the top of the Premier League table going into Gameweek 38.

There is only one change to the starting XIs this evening and it is perhaps a surprising one: Phil Foden replacing Leroy Sane for the home side, with Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne still not fit to return.

Foden’s recall means that Bernardo Silva is pushed further forward into the three-man City attack alongside Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.

Sane, Gabriel Jesus and former Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez are among the substitutes.

Vincent Kompany again partners Aymeric Laporte at centre-half, with John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi forced to watch on from the bench.

Benjamin Mendy is once again omitted from City’s 18-man squad.

Brendan Rodgers has kept faith with the same 11 players that started the 3-0 win over Arsenal last weekend.

That means that youngster Hamza Choudhury again gets a start in a central midfield three alongside Youri Tielemans and anchor Wilfred Ndidi.

James Maddison and Marc Albrighton will flank Jamie Vardy in attack, so Harvey Barnes and Demarai Gray again have to make do with a place among the substitutes.

Only Liverpool have scored more Premier League goals than Leicester since Brendan Rodgers’ appointment.

Vardy has been involved in more Premier League strikes (nine goals, two assists) than any other Fantasy asset in that time.

Aguero will be endeavouring to keep up his own impressive record of never having blanked when starting a home league fixture this season.

Both Aguero and Vardy registered assists when the two sides met at the King Power Stadium back in December, with the Foxes running out 2-1 winners.

Sterling, who leads all other outfield players for points per match (7.1) in 2018/19, has six double-digit hauls to Aguero’s four at the Etihad this season.

Aguero is the leading captain option this week, with 33,241 managers handing the Argentinean striker the armband while using their Triple Captain chip.

13,121 FPL bosses have used the chip on Sterling in Gameweek 37, meanwhile.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Silva, Foden, Sterling, Bernardo, Aguero.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Chilwell, Maguire, Evans, Pereira, Choudhury, Maddison, Albrighton, Ndidi, Tielemans, Vardy.

My last roll of the dice has to be a defender. Who’s the best shot:

    A) Bertrand (HUD)
    B) Shaw (CAR)

Van Aanholt for old times sake? Of those I would go Shaw

I fancied PVA but him not starting this weekend has put me off.

Good point. Not many attacking defenders that could go really big outside of Liverpool, shame really.

Anyone getting kompany for the final gw?
Too risky or fairly certain to play?

Risky that he starts but I suppose after that goal it would be hard to leave him out.

I think you’d be ok with it mate. Risk over so many players but after that goal surely Pep can’t bench the lad!

Be amazed if he didn't play, unless injured between now and GW38. Three starts and clean sheets in a row, six days to recover from this game, plus Pep had previously talked about preferring Kompany or Otamendi - who has barely featured recently - over Stones to deal with high balls (hello Brighton).

I'm probably gonna play Hoiberg instead of Jota this week.

          Just saying.

It won't happen but city deserve to bottle it after celebrating on the pitch like it's over with one game to go.

You never been to a game ? Last home of the season it’s typical to do a lap of appreciation and hand out player of season awards etc

Bloody awful GW. 33pts if Sterling’s YC doesn’t appear. 27pts from two players stuck on the bench.

When do points become unchangeable? With the addition of baps? Worried Sterling’s YC won’t have time to change if confirmed his. Does Mark have him?

Variance gets us all now and then.
Do you ever ask how it's possible to get such good luck when all your players score or is that skill?

Going back to the mental health discussion, just all but lost my ML to my rival after it being tight all season to Dedonker, yep Dedonker. I own Jimmy and Jota and he has Dedonker. Nail in the coffin for me 🙁

What I am asking is for some alternative hobbies to FPL that have worked for anyone else? Ideally ones that are less frustrating. Obviously there is exercise etc but wasn't sure if anyone here who has had a break has had anything that works for them

Or is it better to stay with FPL and find a strategy (that works) to take it less seriously?

I dipped out this season and played he draft game, if you have a group of mates that play in a mini league that’s a much more toned down version in many ways. I’d drop the game, it adds stress to your life and strain on relationships. Exercise naturally makes people feel good, if that or sport in another form takes your interest is try and pursue that.

Try not to take it seriously.

Go out for walks during matches and check your score after, rather than risking your blood pressure during.

And whatever you do, try to avoid the comments on here during matches. It brings out the worst, believe me.

It gets obsessive checking lineups and price changes. Enjoy your time with friends and family without it hanging over you evenings and weekends

Hard luck but just carry the lessons learnt from this season to next. For me its to pick a tighter team from gw1 and keep my 1st WC for december (used mine gw2 😆 .

Spend little in defence (2 big hitters and three 5.0-4.0's) and chop and change budget mids and back Sterling Mane Haz(?).

Upfront I'm going 1 big hitter (Kane), 1 mid priced (Vardy) and 1 cheapie (promoted striker or Perez)

I followed this template 2 seasons ago and placed top 2,5k

And no hits is key as this forces you to plan properly.

                Which one scores more:

                A) Redmond (HUD)
                B) Kompany (bha)
