It’s a high variance team (which you know) with triple Liverpool defence and no salah.

If you are going no salah that’s fine but you have to fully commit to it (ie don’t rip up your team to get him after GW1 if he gets a load of points vs Norwich)

There are better bench options than Masuaku and you might want to use them over Fornals in week 1

    Ryan Button
    Robbo VVD Digne Zinchenko (Rico)
    Salah Sterling Bilva Barkley (Dendonkey)
    Vardy Wesley (4.5)

    Things I am interested in:
    - best way to switch to 3-4-3
    - best thing to do with Bilva ( didn't convince me yesterday). Either change him to KDB or move him to a 7.5 mid?

Preseason hasn't shown anything to suggest a Perez rotation. Maybe there just isn't enough info yet?

But from what we know: he played every first XI-looking game except when injured, and somehow fits into every formation Rodgers comes up with

Pope of the two - Burnley generate saves through nature of their defence and even Hart made them. Not certain yet about Villa defence.

This is where the 4.5 keeper is used poorly

They often return big in the games you don’t expect through save points saved pens and worldly performances

In the decent home games too often it’s a 2 pointer

            • 12 Years

Ah, I didn't say "home" games.
anyway, I'm not advising it, I'm just suggesting a closer look at the 2 keepers the OP asked about.

I’d go that way if I had cash but every 0.5 is gold right now. It’s a 4 point risk of course but I’m almost certainly taking it. Had Fab as set and forget for a long stretch last time and I’m hoping Pope could be the one.

I’m not intending an early WC but that’s quite possibly wishful thinking and a goalie upgrade would be a high priority with funds.

          Sort of eying Henderson too.

I’m on Henderson- stats of last year look good

    3. Exeterslowly

TTA because he has corners and set pieces
Robertson because he has no competition
VVD because he is solid as a rock and will score

So I’m afraid no clear cut reasons to not select any of them!

    4. 7rjngs lollygagger
      • 5 Years

      Robbo imo

Vvd is a more irregular returner in all probability and if you’re going just one you can afford the best and there’s just that slight rotation doubt with TAA even if May just have higher ceiling.

    Aurier - VVD - 4.5, 4.5, lundstram
    Barkley - Salah - Sterling - robinson - dendoncker
    Aubameyang - Kane - greenwood

And maybe dg Siggy to upgrade Coleman or VVD.

Personally I’m not sure the Coleman pick is 100% value despite all the good arguments in favour.

Similar to the Wilson King argument. There is a points diff and a £ diff but I can’t help feeling the cash diff will be less than the points.

    Hi Fellas
Can you do a Salah-less team confidently? Cabellos and Pulisic being the Punts in Mid and having two 4.0's in defence doesnt give you any wiggle room. But all the big names is appealing.

    Heaton
    VVD/TAA/Coleman
    KDB/Sterling/Cabellos/Pulisic/Tielemans
    Auba/Wilson

    Button/Kelly/Lundstram/Greenwood

Or do i just go back to my template team and play safe?

I'd downgrade one GK and upgrade KWP and Zinc who are both far from nailed.

Downgrade Digne to Coleman thereby creating the extra £0.5m (£1m in total) to upgrade Barkley to a £7m mid.

    Hi all,

New to the game, but I have been following the premier league for quite some time now.

I’ve been changing my team a lot and cant seem to decide who to go for. Maybe you guys could help me out a bit.

    This is my team now:

    Allison / button
    VVD / Digne / AWB / walker / Lundstram
    Salah / tielemans / Fraser / Moura / Dendoncker
    Wilson / Kane / greenwood

My thoughts regarding defense: Allison has the better opening fixtures, but I believe that ederson will get more cs due to the addition of Rodri.
Picking ederson would also allow me to get Robertson. However, then I need to downgrade Moura and make my midfield less flexible.
    Difficult choice..

Midfield is a real conundrum. Ideally I want Salah, sterling or KDB and Eriksen. This is pricewise not possible, as there are few 6.5 mil or less midfielders that look promising. Maybe Barkley, maybe grealish, but those are wait and see. What other options are there?

Up front there’s quite a lot of value picks, but I can just see a refreshed Kane scoring for fun.

So, what do you guys think of my team? What improvements can I make?

    Cheers for any replies.
    Sven

    RMT

    Ryan,
    TAA - Coleman - Ake
    Salah(c) - Sigurdsson - Bilva - Westwood
    Aguero - Jimenez - King

(Krul - Dendocker - El Mohamady - Dunk)

    ITB - 0

Looking for alternatives for Ake and King. What do you think about the midfield? Is it too weak?
