Mount and Emerson recover from injury to start against Liverpool

The final two matches of Gameweek 6 take place this afternoon as Chelsea entertain Liverpool and Arsenal take on Aston Villa.

Kick-off at Stamford Bridge and at the Emirates is at 16:30 BST.

The headline news comes from west London, with Chelsea – and Fantasy managers – handed a boost upon the release of the teamsheets.

Mason Mount has recovered from injury to make his sixth straight start in the top flight, while N’Golo Kante and Emerson Palmieri are also back in Frank Lampard’s starting XI after stepping up their recoveries over the last week.

Lampard has ditched the 3-4-2-1 and reverted to a 4-3-3, with Tammy Abraham flanked by Mount and Willian up top.

Liverpool have made only one change from the side that lost to Napoli in midweek, with Georginio Wijnaldum in for James Milner in central midfield.

That means there are starts for Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Unai Emery has made multiple changes from the side that beat Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday but, compared to Arsenal’s Gameweek 5 line-up, there is only one alteration: Bukayo Saka in for Mesut Ozil.

Sead Kolasinac has been passed fit despite coming off with a minor knock in Germany.

Aston Villa also make just one change to the side that drew 0-0 against West Ham on Monday night: Trezeguet returns from suspension and replaces the benched Jota.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Luiz, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ceballos, Pepe, Aubameyang, Saka.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Taylor, Nakamba, McGinn, Grealish, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Wesley.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Tomori, Emerson, Kanté, Jorginho, Kovačić, Willian, Abraham, Mount.

Liverpool XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

It’s like Man Utd’s Funeral on sky sports here

Keane, Souness, Mourinho, Carragher, to a man, unanimously agree that the club is absolutely ruined

Arsenal this, Liverpool that. Always worried about other teams and never your own Banter team. Have you even been to Old Trafford before? Probably not.

I can't afford to go to uk. Pretty shallow thinking if that makes one less of a fan

. Aren't u the one going on about united to begin with? Can't achieve anything themselves so rely on other failures for good times

Carragher: Maybe it’s not as bad as it seems, they might just need 2 or 3 players and all of a sudden... like luis Suarez I remember when he came Liverpool were finishing 6th & 7th and he helped bridge the gap...

Keane: but they’re still trying to bridge the gap Jamie, they still haven’t won he league title

    Pope
    TAA - VVD - AWB
    Mane - Sterling - KDB - Mount
    Pukki - Barnes - Wickham

    (4.0 Digne Cantwell Lund)
    2 FTs & 1.0m

    A) Digne & Wickham ➡️ Rico & Abraham
    B) Digne, AWB & Wickham ➡️ Rico, Otamendi & Abraham (-4)
    C) Son & Wickham ➡️ Son & Abraham (exact cash)
    D) Digne, Mane & Wickham ➡️ Otamendi, Son(c) & Abraham (-4)

Struggling at 2.3m so I feel I have to take the gamble with Son(c).
Losing AWB/Digne for Otamendi also looks good long term.

    Appreciate your thoughts! 🙂

I've got both and think both value - today showed no different. Chelsea still good attacking team and those 2 most nailed/dangerous, don't expect them to return every week, but they're cheap options compared with comparable at arsenal/spurs even man utd/bournemouth

    Bottomed

A pretty disappointing 65pts this week after autosubs giving me a mediocre green from 586k to 412k OR (I wouldn’t moan but the norm on here seems to be a far bigger jump!). Missing a few key players and need to have less cash in defence. What would you do?

    2FT 0.1itb
    Heaton
    VVD*, Zinch*, Digne*, AWB
    Salah, Sterling, KDB, Mount
    Pukki, Haller*
    (Button) (Cantwell, Lunds, Greenwood)

I still have WC. I would probably change most of my defence and get at least Son and maybe Wilson or Tammy.

Can you see moves I can do to avoid playing the WC yet? Happy to take a -4 or maybe -8 for great moves. Just can’t see the best way forward!

    Thank you!

You will want to play Lundstram in maybe 3/4 of the next 8.
You will want to play Mount in 8 out of the next 8.

If Hanley is a 3. sub in a 3-4-3, definitely Mount

Is martial still a decent option if Rashford out (assuming back for next week) - had always planned on bringing him back for James after this game. he's still the number 9 striker for a mid table side after all - if it was Bournemouth or west ham we'd be interested wouldn't we. Just feels like they've been stuck a bit last few games without a range of outlets (pogba/martial/Rashford)

I’ve kept Rashford all this time, he’s been decent. Definitely could have scored more over the last few (I.e. missed pen) but satisfied with his returns. That being said- I’m ditching United attack completely. They just don’t create much. Chelsea options are cheaper and more attacking and have better fixtures

I already have 2 chelsea. Salah Sterling KDB Martial Mount
          Abraham Pukki
Is the plan... I'm just trying to understand if that not creating much is down to lack of attacking options, as first 2 games they did

Hmm I see. They definitely will improve with Pogba and martial back. I actually ditched martial for David Silva and luckily it worked out. Martial is still a decent option if fit though

I dont like it. Held him which was a mistake. Now I’m getting rid for Mount. Better fixs for Che and Utd seem out of it. Also have Greenwood who could play now.

Terrible bracket. But maybe with this run of fixtures Gouendouzi or this new kid Saka. Also Choudhury from Leicester.
