Pro Pundits

Introducing the FFScout Pro Pundits initiative

The Fantasy Football community has never been bigger, with over seven million managers picking a team each week. Of course, this also means its never been more competitive and harder to maintain a top rank.

Over the last twelve years, Fantasy Football Scout has established itself as the leading resource in this space by serving the entire community with tools and tips to help you stay ahead of the game.

This week we’re delighted to announce a brand new initiative to provide even more advice for every aspiring manager and consolidate our position within the industry.

Our Pro Pundits squad collects together some of the leading voices and rising stars from across the Fantasy world to share their insights. Every week these Fantasy philosophers will publish updates on their own teams in the form of articles and Hot Topics on site outlining their tactics and the thought processes behind their selections.

Our Members will also benefit from their full unedited insight and some enhanced elements and, as part of our ongoing commitment to support the community as a whole, we will be sharing a fair amount with all FFS visitors.

We will also be opening up a chance to engage with the Pro Pundits via regular Hot Topics and comments on the site plus appearances on popular videos such as the Scoutcast and Breakfast Club.

You can expect to hear a lot more information about recruits to the Pro Pundits in the coming weeks, but for now, we’d like to introduce you to a first names we have signed up.

Our Pro Pundit Signings

  • Simon March
  • Ash from FPL Hints
  • Az Phillips
  • Utkarsh Dalmia (FFS user zØphar)
  • lateriser12 (FFS user)

Simon March – Former champion

Simon March is a former Fantasy Premier League world champion, who claimed the title in the 2014/15 season and has been a regular on the FPL punditry circuit ever since.

He has made regular appearances on our videos and in the columns of the Question Time article – so we are looking forward to hearing more of his insight.

FPL Hints

Chief or FPL Hints, is a huge Fantasy community influencer. With over 75,000 followers on Twitter, he has been producing content on our favourite Fantasy game for years.

He has also been a valuable member of our Question Time panel over the last 12 months and has this season taken on the responsibility of selecting the best differentials each Gameweek. He will continue to publish this article for the duration of 2019/20 as well as providing us with updates on his own squad.

Az Phillips

Az has been a contributor to the site and Scoutcast guest for many years and we are excited to finally be able to promote him to the Pro Pundits scheme. The Brighton supporter has three top 10k finishes in his long Fantasy career, the best of which was a rank of 817 in the 2017/18 season.

Lateriser12

FFScout user Lateriser12 has a very impressive Fantasy CV. He has registered two finishes in the top 200 (one of them equating to number one in India) and four in the top 10,000 in the last 6 seasons. The secret to his success has been playing non-conventionally and fearlessly, swearing by ‘upside chasing’ and not giving ownership much of a look.

Utkarsh Dalmia (ZØphar)

An FPL veteran of 10 seasons, Utkarsh Dalmia has been a member of the site right since 2009 and has finished in the top 5k in six of those campaigns, with a best finish of 17th in 2010. A Chelsea fan based in India, he relies heavily on statistics for his FPL decision-making process.

Keep an eye out for Pro Pundits articles and Hot Topics from now on, the first ones should be arriving later today.

We have also added a section on the top menu bar of the website, between our ‘Gameweek Guides’ and ‘Articles’ tabs for you to have easy access to the latest Pro Pundits content.

Furthermore, we will be unveiling further new signings to the squad next week.

Thank you once again to you our readers for the support you have given us over a period of transition in recent years.

It is through your contributions and input that we are able to continue growing the site and maintaining its position at the top of the Fantasy field.

yes - but Laca back soon may push him wide (though this doesn't necessarily negatively impact on his returns)

Maddison too expensive for his attacking returns, and CHO is rotation risk. Cantwell is nailed, and might get the same attacking returns as Maddison

Maddison overrated on actual FPL output. Doubt he will get more than 2 attacking returns in next five. How do we know Cantwell wont get the same?

We don’t know, that’s the name of the game. Im worried about Norwich in generally but he gets around 1 big chance a game so he’s a good pick. I just prefer Maddo

      our teams are eerily similar;

      Pope
      TAA Ota Caglar Digne
      Mount Salah KDB
      Tammy Pukki Aguero

      Stekelenburg Cantwell Lundstram Saka

      2 ft 1.1 itb

my obvious move options are similar to yours except you have more itb and no Digne problem. Cantwell for me represents a norwich double up so the move out is more pressing but i'd say for you cantwell + haller -> Vardy + Yarmolenko

ok - selling value only 4.7 but there may come a time where you need that 0.3 that a 4.4 would give you.

Not sure whether to WC now or maybe make one or two switches, zinchenko and aurier both at risk of not starting

    Pope (Button)
    Aurier* Digne* Zinchenko* (Robbo Lund)
    Salah KDB Mcginn* Mount (Dendo)
    Auba Tammy Pukki*

    A) Hit WC immediately (get Tomori, Soyuncu, Dunk, Maddison, CWilson in for * players)
    B) Use 2FTs to sort out defence, maybe Boly/Soyuncu/Tomori in for Digne/Aurier/Zinch for -4

Definitely wouldn't wildcard. I'd play Robbo over all 3 defenders you currently have. Two transfers will sort minor problems.

I own & shall keep Sergio Agüero but don’t hold high hopes of returns @Palace...

City have played 7 competitive away games this season:
    Jesus started 5 (5 wins)
    Aguero started 2 (1 win / 1 loss)

Jesus missed Bournemouth trip due to injury & benched @ Norwich, having just returned from injury.

Aguero starts everything at home in CL and PL dating back to January 2019 (missing only Cardiff in April due to injury)

Jesus gets Domestic cup at home only.

With Villa and Southampton coming to Etihad in PL, be patient with Aguero: the points are coming, if not this weekend.
