Join us for the latest episode of the Scoutcast this evening.

As per usual, the show will be running on our YouTube channel from 20:00 GMT until 21:00 GMT.

In episode 307, Joe will be joined by Holly Shand and Lee Bonfield to discuss how to learn from Fantasy Premier League mistakes.

After looking back on Gameweek 11, the three pundits will look to a tricky round of action for Fantasy managers.

Liverpool and Manchester City’s meeting at Anfield on Sunday is likely to temper enthusiasm for the popular premium options – and could increase pressure on our mid-price and budget assets.

With that in mind, our player of choice this week is John Lundstram (£4.8m) who simply won’t stop making FPL history this season.

After that, we’ll update you on the current differential and clean sheet standings.

As Liverpool and Chelsea are also playing in the Champions League, concurrently with the Scoutcast, we shall endeavour to bring you any relevant score or injury updates.

Lessons learned from Gameweek 11

    Have the following team

    Pope (Fabianski)
    Lundstram. Soy. TAA (Ota. Montoya)
    Mane. Mount. Sterling. Cantwell (Dendo)
    Tammy. Vardy. Rashford
    1.6 ITB. 0 FT

    1. In case Mount is injured does it make sense to do Mount - Willian for a hit?
    2. Defence is looking weak this GW. Take a hit to get Ota out?
    3. Upgrade Cantwell?

Salah to Mane before Salah dropped and Mane rose.

In retrospect I should have held off on it

    2. Amey

Mount is a wait N watch atm.
But one thing is for sure that Cantwell is a dead pick now.
Otamendi Cantwell are the ones I'd sell before Mount if Injury isn't too serious

          Ota not probably
Cantwell, depends upon who you can afford mate.
Otamendi to Newcastle Defender for free next gw maybe a good plot too. Newcastle play Palace home in gw 18 too when Pool have a blank

Cantwell to McGinn in my book - you want a 4th mid who'll play.

McGinn at 5.8 is just a tick below Mount and the Leicester mids in output and there's no real reason to think he'll slow down - returns away at Spurs and Arsenal and home to Liverpool in a Villa side that isn't doing much.

Can consider that. Plan was to do Rashford + Cantwell to Jimi + Willians/Tielemans but that has to be on hold if Mount is injured and Ota losing his spot in the team

          1. Holmes
            • 12 Years
            6 years, 1 month ago

No, but almost 35% of budget is in Salah-Mane-Kevin which is making it tough to get better players.

For heavy defense, I'll have to go with someone like Ayew/Mousset as 3rd forward.

How much will Jorginho make a difference?
For me, if I was a Chelsea supporter, he would be the first man on my teamsheet.
So what impact will his absence have on the likes of Mount and Abraham?
With the Pulisic affect on CHO is it wise to give Chelsea captaincy a miss?
Vardy is number 1 on the captaincy poll, outside of that we have to go down to Mane is the next best taking the above into consideration.
How many of you are going the Mane route after what I have mentioned?

    1. Amey
      • 7 Years

Perfect game for RLC to start (if fit) & impact IMO.
Re © I'm thinking between Vardy Jimenez & Mane.

Agree jorginho v.good player but kante back i think so his absence not a massive impact on chelsea attack this week i feel. would still prefer vardy as (c) given lei form and good record v arsenal. Palace also good away def record..i have salah rather than mane but would not capt either as I cant see the liv v city game being high scoring - cue 4-4 thriller....

      1. Eze Really?
        • 11 Years

They are different types of players. Kante the best in the world at getting the ball. Jorginho one of the best for creating the attack. I hope you are right. I might go Jimmi for C this week as Amey says. Tired of getting nothing from C picks.

Have Aguero, Kdb, Sterling and no Liverpool attack.

Sell Aguero or Sterling for Mane or Salah? Aguero and Salah would be differentials in my mini leagues and i am chasing

I know there are probably more safe options around his price range but having a feeling Zaha be a good differential for those
looking to climb up the ranks

Palace fixtures between Gw14-21 are great.

I have no clue what to do with Mount. You have a double whammy. Let us hope no more injuries this week. Lucky you had full bench cover but loss in value to be expected.

Pulisic seems to be the most sensible for Mount. I cannot do a straight switch so have to do Dilva to Pulisic.

Having a strong bench helps when those fecking flags appear.

IB coming up so pending the severity, Mount could be back after the IB.

It looks the obvious one. I was going to get Mane for Mount. I have 2.4 which means downgrading others.
Looks like Sterling to Mane and have Mount benched 2 weeks.

You could be right. The loss of Jorginho can be crucial too. Kante not the same type of player who will probably take his place. I wonder if Pulisic can play Mount's role?

Wait a little on Trossard both for fixtures and cause coming back from injury. Tielemans, Barnes other options if you want to go all out Leicester and don't have a def already. Barnes is easy swap to McGinn or Trossard once fixtures shift and you get to spend the change.

    1. Should I do Wilson > Jimmy? Have already done Kun > Vardy, and have 1FT.

    2. I've got a few fires to put out (Yarmo, Cantwell, potentially Mount), and am looking at mid-priced options such as Tielemans/Maddison.
Should I take anyone out? If yes, who?

Far too much value tied up in him

So true, panic sellers gonna regret it imho, who exactly apart from perhaps tielemans, is actually performing in 6-7m mid range, personally, owners of mount should stick.
It might be easy to swap out but hurts alot if he is needed back , given the price increases.
Unless it is a major injury, keeping is best. The IB helps alot as far as giving the lad a chance to recover should he be deemed too risky for palace this gw

Bit daft to not be considering , mount migjt be needed back and wiv the cash locked up in him, it can hurt, those precious 0.Whatever can be great help for a quick change up elsewhere.
Bit daft that people are acrually chucking him after a knock even more daft to suggeat that owners are making the wrong decision by keeping. Think you had too many drafts and now youre daft

Why? Never helpful to lose value if you expect to bring someone back in.

Early in the season is normally when I've concentrated on accruing value, it's late in the season when I happily spend without caring about lost value.

tend to agree but there could be reasons for people selling, if they have no bench cover at all, that kind of thing could play into people hands forcing them to do it. Personally i would not do it, and if i had no good options from bench i would prob try to find another solution(selling one of the other injured or suspended players imt. This value thing is not really a problem with such underpriced players, selling for say 6.5 and buy back for 6.9 is not really a problem imo. Because if you get that transfer right you can get points that others don´t. If i really have seen an opportunity i would consider it but since i´ve got a bit of a conundrum with selecting my team this week i think i will keep, Son got his red card rescinded so means i have to choose between Lund and maupay, not the most inspiring choice but it leaves me with 2 transfers during IB, which is handy with several "problems" in my team.
