bet365 to be Fantasy Football Scout’s official sportsbook partner

We’ll again be combining Fantasy Football with a flutter in 2020/21 but this season we will be doing so in the company of our friends at bet365.

We are pleased to announce that bet365 will be our official sportsbook partner in the campaign to come, so expect to see regular articles covering the latest odds and special offers from the world’s favourite online sports betting company.

Each week we will be trying to harness our Fantasy know-how and the data in our Premium Members Area to pick out a few punts ahead of the upcoming action, to see if we can get one over on the bookies.

From baseball to trotting (us neither), bet365 offer a whole host of betting opportunities for those in the mood for a sensible flutter.

It’s good old association football that we’ll be focusing on in 2020/21, however, with the bread and butter of the Premier League our primary focus.

From first goalscorers to total corners, we’ll be seeing if we can pick out some value bets in the run-up to the weekend’s action.

We’ll be back with our first selection ahead of Gameweek 1 but, in the meantime, head on over to the bet365 site to check out the latest odds on the UEFA Nations League, the Premier League title race and anything else that takes your fancy.

For all the latest Premier League odds, visit bet365 and build your personalised football bet.

Ramsdale 2nd to Dubravka for saves, is he worth 0.5 over McCarthy playing in front of a decent defence??

so he registered that many saves because BOU's Def was in shambles, but SHU is defense oriented so Idk if he'll register that many saves, while SOU's Def isn't much compared to SHU, McCarthy may register an ample amount of saves

Has the free hit option been removed from FPL this season? I saw an article on how best to use it, however i only see triple captain and bench boost chips.

    Current team:

    McCarthy, 4.0
    Trent, Saiss, Vinagre, Ayling, 4.0
Aubameyang, Salah, Barnes, Bowen* (Pulisic), 4.5
    Jimenez*, Antonio*, DCL

    * = not nailed in my team, not sure whether to go 343 or 352.

Bowen is a placeholder for 2-3 weeks for Pulisic.

Jiminez stats rather poor imo. Probably will get worse without Doherty. Don't like defenders from promoted teams personally, Sheffield were an exception to the rule.

This sort of thing makes the site look like hypocrites. On the one hand here is a cohort in FFS who are big into mental health issues. Who try and shoehorn into the fantasy football discussion. How does Fantasy Football effect mental health and so on.
'Feeling a little bit down' over that captain pick or -12 point hit? Etc Etc
A clear agenda there - has happened a few times. Lots of patting each other on the back and so on.

Yet we have in your face Bet 365 / Paddy Power/ One football Index / Fan Team / Sky paid leagues etc.
Where the very people who would be susceptible to mental health issues that could more easily fall victim to. Gambling - addictive personalities - low self esteem, and an easily punctured ego some cocktail!
It places the site in an uneasy position. Which is why I feel they should leave the medical advice to professional experts in future instead of trying to wave a flag for a cause.

They already increased membership fees by 40% in 1 year. There's no excuse (except greed, I guess) to increase their gambling partners. There's plenty of non gambling advertisers around.

It's the same as everything really. A small website gains lots of followers, sells advertising to try and make some money, starts out innocently enough but eventually loses what made it special in the first place. It's the same with gentrification.

Agreed, very disappointed to see all the recent posts relating to finance based gaming and the direction this site is taking. For most people fantasy football is a free hobby with maybe a one time preseason payment to a cash league. What we have here is promotion of on-going gambling that was never a focus for FFS.

As someone who has signed up to Gamstop previously, there should be an option to filter through the betting advertising when I'm signed into my FFS members account. Block the content in a similar way to the members only content. I'm all for bookies AGS/cleanie odds, as an FPL Tool, bit this content is pointless for me

Okay. Sad to say it because I do enjoy perusing this place, but the recent partnerships with betting corps is something I'm not wanting to put my clicks to. I'm not against gambling per say, i just don't want hourly reminders of how the ultra rich funnel money away from the poor and treat football and football fans as nothing more than a source to tap into and bleed dry. It's bad enough having this slime in both your ears when you're trying to watch the game, but that's hard to avoid. This isn't.

Best of luck for the forthcoming season everybody!

            Puli is 8.5
            Leicester Wingers is no go.

I don’t know, that’s what we all assume right, Leicester have some good fixtures - it’ll help when their defence is back to full strength tho

              I agree.

I may upgrade Soucek to Foden later with the Salah to Bruno cash. I think Foden will be worth 6.5, but that doesn't help for GW1.

      Where's the articles gone?

You know, where we can read expert opinions on who to pick in my team?

All I see is Vegas style banners....

        This!

Hopefully they are typing as quickly as they can, but I bet (lol) this article needs to be on for awhile before another is released.

I might be the only one, but I dont seldom read an article, RMT or watch a scoutcast on here. I use the members area and make up my own mind.

              Absolutely.

My point is that it seems to be more difficult to get to the actual analysis type articles nowadays as there's more non FFS specific content on the site.

Guys, I am really struggling with this conundrum...........I have TAA, but do we think Doherty will match Robbo ( within 20pts ) this season ??

Maybe but he's also 1m less expensive so doesn't need to match him.

So what you are all saying is you dont want articles on clean sheet odds and goalscorer odds?

Face it, fpl and gambling companies are intrisically linked by probability forecasting.

      Really happy with this...

      McCarthy
      Trent Davies Doherty Tierney
      Armstrong Salah (C) Aubameyang Soucek
      Werner Ings

      Nyland Mitrovic Bissouma Mitchell

      0.5 itb...

      Any thoughts?

I like it - maybe a bit too much invested at the back (could lose Davies) but I also like the flexibility of it.

Thanks, will get Martial GW2 unless Ings scores big, then I will roll transfer and reassess.. I think I might give the spurs FBs ago to start, see what happens...

As you have Doc you could switch Dier to James. I feel he is going to do very well at that price point

Noice! Is there a viable 4.5 option in Arsenal defence? Gabriel is 5.0 right?
