Pro Pundits - Darren

Why I’m lining up for FPL Gameweek 3 without any Chelsea players

A Fantasy Premier League veteran of 11 years, Darren Wiles has an incredible track record with three top 1k finishes in the last four seasons.

With so many favourable match-ups in Gameweek 3, I am feeling confident about the next round of Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a positive start thus far, anyway, with 80 and 90-point hauls in the first two Gameweeks taking me to a total of 170 and an overall rank of 29k.

The goals have been flying in so far and I have been lucky enough to capitalise on the early glut of double-digit returns. But all of that is in the past, and it’s what happens this weekend that matters now.

Here is what my team looks like for Gameweek 3 and the reasons behind some key decisions.

    Very happy with this. Thoughts?

    Guiata
    Trent Saiss Lamptey
    Foden KdB Sterling Rashford JRod
    Mitro Jimo

0.4 ITB in case I fancy Sterling to Mane next week
Thinking Sterling outscores Salah over next 3 fixtures
No Spurs because of their brutal fixture schedule. Surprised so many are jumping on them. WBA are crap

    Cheers!

They don't matter. Too small a sample size, faced Liverpool, played 45 minutes after a red card.

Really? Decent against Brighton, awful against Liverpool.

Can see him do well tomorrow but certainly not enough to C him over KDB or Salah.

      Nothing exceptional.

Then again very small sample size including a man down vs Liverpool

He's looked dangerous in both games, could have shown more if he hadn't been fouled to win two penalties, unfortunately messed up a decent chance against Liverpool.
I want him for wba but if he doesn't manage much then it's an easy 'downgrade'.

I expect a soft hattrick on WBA, basically a terrible team

How you perform on Chelsea is not a big deal. Especially if Pulisic and Zychek start playing

On reflection, Jimenez turns up, effective and simply brilliant

Werner looks a whippet, a little lost and isolated. Clearly potential and of course facing WBA, but if choosing, Jimenez
