Scoutcast Episode 348 – Spurs and Chelsea players gather support

Joe and Az are joined by Andy for this week’s Scoutcast as they look ahead to Gameweek 5.

Tottenham Hotspur assets are in fine scoring form and about to head into a strong run of fixtures, so it is no wonder that the community questions in this latest Scoutcast are focused on Jose Mourinho’s men. Are Son Heung-min (£9.1m) and Harry Kane (£10.6m) players we should be definitely bringing in? And are both feasible without disrupting the balance of Fantasy Premier League managers’ squads? These questions and more about Spurs are considered by our trio.

The best of Chelsea has arguably not been seen yet this campaign. But with Christian Pulisic (£8.3m) and Hakim Ziyech (£7.9m) set to return from injury and Southampton up next, the community is pondering the merits of early investment in the Blues.

Meanwhile, the current international break has already produced a number of scares, from positive COVID-19 tests to injuries. Amid the pandemic, the Scoutcasters consider whether FPL managers need to alter the way they play, to cope with late sudden withdrawals due to the illness that has shocked the world.

Joe also attempts to make amends with his disastrous Dele Alli (£7.6m) differential pick in Gameweek 1. Can his latest low-owned gem succeed?

There is news of Fantasy Football Scout’s UEFA Champions League coverage, the next four fixtures are frisked and our trio reveal their transfer and captaincy plans.

Huge game and terrible start to the season, as it stands unless properly injured they both play.

No problem, got Foden as well, so surely he's going to run away with the attacking returns if they don't play 😕

Yeah - big rank drops there. Thinking to offload one of them to either Pulisic or Salah for a hit, at least if they're not given a clear go

Keeping KDB. Don't think the next 6 games suit Sterling.

      Sterling & Podence ➡ Son & Pulisic

    Anybody else benching Everton attackers?

Have and bencing DCL and Hamez, which i both like longterm but are overperforming xG - so are due a bit of downward performance, and i expect a big return to form for Liverpool with Thiago Fabinho Henderson Matip and VVD core this weekend

No chance! 100%riding both of them until it looks over and cant really see that happening. Wont score double digits each every week but no reason to bench this week against Pool. Form over fixtures this season for sure building on last few year's trend imo.

I dont think it will be over for them this season (DCL and Hamez) , very good chances of keeping longterm

However i dont really rate form, in the since its more good or improving players getting in good chances and positions and they like every team and player will not score each week

Liverpool coming off a 7-2 defeat looks the exact game people are not seeing the obvious

I can easily see chaos on here lunch time Saturday where Liverpool do to Everton what they have done to many teams in past 2 years ( Leicester, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Munich , PSG, etc) and give Everton a lesson

Everton have a backline of Mina Keane Coleman and Digne with Pickford, very average, and their midfield which is OK is not on the level of Liverpool, i dont see Everton having much possession

Robertson & 4.5 (only pool DEF)

    or

Castagne & Chilwell ? (barring injury)

Is there a unanimously best 4.5 defender pick right now? Been hearing Ayling a lot around here, is he better than KWP atm?

I prefer KWP simply due to the huge ownership of SOU defence. Any cleansheet will hurt for non-oweners of KWP and McCarthy. Both KWP and Ayling/Dallas can give attacking returns.
