    Drop Grealish or keep?

Have very thin bench (Kilman and Ried from Palace) to cover his blank.

Could do Grealish to Ward Prowse/Bowen.

Or replace Ried with Bissouma, play him and bench Grealish.

    Thoughts?

Keep grealish, it’s one week and he’ll haul in the next few, plus a double up when villa gets rescheduled

    Hi guys.

Currently have Seaman as GK, with Lukic as backup. Don't know if anyone has noticed or posted with advice before, but just realised they both do not have a fixture this GW.

(By the way, is there a chance their fixture could be re-scheduled this week?)

Is it worth shipping one or both? Have seen that Schmeichel is still playing & has an easier fixture this week so was thinking:

    A) Seaman > Schmeichel (-4)
    B) Lukic > Schmeichel (-4)

Arsenal haven't been in the best form, but they have some decent fixtures after this week so might want to keep him.

    Thoughts?

1990s? I've seen Schmeichel has a game this week, so he can't still be playing 30 years in the future.

But stuck on my old friend sterling? ( I have KDB already)

    1. Keep and hope he plays, I’ll have zero bench cover
    2. Hit out to Mo, which will involve ziyech to Jota to fund
    3. Move with ft to Bruno, blocking an easy route to mo next week. Plan was to move ziyech to Bruno after the Manchester derby for free

Doesn’t mean ziyech had to go, as then gives me flexibility to move vardy down

Planned moves over next two gws

Sterling and vardy to mo and sub 7m striker
Then ziyech to Bruno for free after the United derby

Are Podence/Neto back on the radar as cheap Mids? (5.4/5.6).

Game time more secure due to Jimenez's terrible injury. Although fixtures look difficult.

I think they've come back into the equation, especially with the switch to a back 4 as it has helped Wolves in the attacking third, it seems.

Fixtures still mixed. Neto over Podence for me.

(Former Podence owner. His substitutions are so annoying. Neto has less - and better stats - even though both are good players.)

    2. Pep's Money Laundry
      • 8 Years

I don't think Jimenez's injury has any impact on their game time as Silva will replace Jimenez but all three could be good options going forward

      1. Planet Jo
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

Silva is only 18. I don't think he will be given the same workload as Jimenez was (who played almost every minute), especially with December's congested fixture list. Also a different style of player.

      2. Klaren
        • 6 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

Silva has been subbed out against Arsenal. Jimenez never gets subbed out and as pointed out by Planet Jo, Silva is only 18. He also hasn't been performing in any of the games he played so far. So I think it will have a positive impact on Podence/Neto game times.

Torn between short term need and sticking to my longer term plan. Thoughts?

    A) boring GK transfer of Martinez to McCarthy/Meslier with FT which means I’ll have 11 (or 10 if Cancelo is out)

    B) save FT and stuck to original plan which means I have Salah for GW14 for free

    1. Pep's Money Laundry

Can't save a FT and get Salah in Gw 12? For Fulham? I'd be going with B generally, fine to take 0 from Martinez. Ive owned Ryan all season (plonker), and hes given me plenty of 0's, random benching and goals conceded, but im still doing decently

I’d probably make the goalkeeper change. Unless you have a back up goalie you’ll get 0 points, rather than 2 or hopefully more if you bring in a keeper. Then you could take a hit next week to bring in Salah- would be subsidised by the points you earn from your goalie this week

Lads, please, I'd really appreciate some help here: what do you suggest for this lot with 2 ft?

    Martínez / Steer
    Chilwell / Cancelo / Cresswell / Lamptey / Kilman
    KDB / Bruno / Ziyech / Grealish / Soucek
    Vardy / DCL / Bamford

My preference is to keep Martinez. GKs will pretty much score similar points at the end of the season. If you want to change the Johnstone is a good option. I probably would consider transferring out Cancelo to James or Dallas since you have 2FT

Good looking team. Would say save a FT but you have 2 already. I'd honestly just keep martinez either way - possibly swap cancelo to Dias? Soucek good cover for grealish - you have 3 at the back without cancelo so seems pretty good to me

I would rather go for a 4.5GK than Mendy. I think his max ceiling is 6 points due to low number of saves. The ceiling is higher with Johnstone or McCarthy. Rodriguez is probably a keep for the Burnley game. Jota has a tough game against Wolves and I think it might be his turn for a rest.

But jokes aside.. if you've kept til now, just play him. If you really dont have a better cap option, ie. Vardy, KDB, Bruno or Salah, then go with Sterling. But surely you have a nailed and in form better cap option? Keep sterling for Fulham though, worth waiting for this fixture

Potentially only -2 if you share that theory on a non-playing player out for a hit

Newc play WBA next weekend so wouldn’t go Johnstone for that reason

        Martinez would be OK.

I don't see the issue of funds as Martinez and Johnstone would cost me less than the likes who have Leno, Lloris, Mendy, Fabianski etc and a 4.0 as their keepers.

Martinez would play if Newcastle miss West Brom too

Think this hit will pay off long term maybe even this week if you can spare £0.5

It’s a good move, I say go for it. I’ve done Steer to Lloris and kept Martinez myself. I can’t imagine anyone recommending that move but I have the TV for it and I think Lloris will be the top scoring GK this year. Johnstone looks a good value alternative however.

Best defender for £5.5m or under?

    Have Dias already.

    Son > (K)db no brainer?

Always the random chance that luck is against you and Son scores and KDB blanks, but from a probability point of view.. KDB has been outperforming Son's stats over the last 4 weeks by a huge margin. Better fixture, better history, its a no brainer from that perspective. I dont think Arsneal will roll over either and Son will score a hatrick. But KDB on the other hand, does have a good chance of a massive haul

      So, yes.

Not really a no brainer. I would expect son to be involved in goals against Arsenal and CPL.
But I'd personally prefer KdB much more than son.

It’s the captain potential of KDB I like too. My other option this week would be Bruno as no Salah

    Afternoon all,

    Current team:
    Ryan / McCarthy
    Zouma / Dallas / Chilwell / KWP / Kilman
    Grealish / Bruno / Son / Jota / ASM
    DCL / Bamford / Kane

    Can WC to:
    Ryan / McCarthy
    James / Dallas / Chilwell / KWP / Kilman
    Salah / Bruno / KDB / Jota / Bissouma
    DCL / Bamford / Abraham

    Thoughts on this?

      So basically it's

      Zouma -> James ( very sideways )

      And
      ASM -> Bissouma ( 8th attacker )

Grealish Son Kane -> Salah KdB Abraham

I think Salah and KdB are a better option. I like your WC team better, but if you have 2FT's and can bring in KdB this week and Salah next.. I'd suggest to hold your Wildcard

I dont have any Liverpool cover, rival has Salah and Jota.

Worth getting in jota for Bowen for a -4? Would keep for 2gw as they play Fulham soon and then ship for grealish.

Are we likely to get Liverpool lineup leek to see if Jota starts?

No, they changed the times this year so the deadline is 1.5hours before. So 0 chance of leaked line-ups in time

Given Liverpool plays at 19.15 on Sunday, very unlikely.
