Cristiano Ronaldo’s FPL price and position revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally been priced up by Fantasy Premier League (FPL) following the completion of his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

The 36-year-old striker has been listed as a forward in FPL and comes in at £12.5m, making him the joint-most expensive player in the game alongside Mohamed Salah.

Ronaldo is £1.0m pricier than Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) and some £400k dearer than Bruno Fernandes (£12.1m), who many Fantasy managers are seemingly offloading in order to fund a move for his incoming compatriot.

The former Juve and Real Madrid man’s FPL price, as is the case with all new additions, will be locked for seven days upon his Tuesday lunchtime inclusion in the game.

Fernandes remains, for now, the most-owned player in the game despite the 100,000+ sales since the Gameweek 3 deadline.

Anyone like me going with Lukaku + 1m ITB just to wait and see who takes Man Utd's next penalty?

Ronaldo (as captain I assume) and Torres has the potential to be zero mins and a total disaster, high risk, high reward.
Gray > Traore IMO with the caveat that we don't know how Wolves perform against weaker teams so Adama/Trincao could explode

    Bruno Ings to Ronaldo Grealish?

Leaves Wilson up top and I wanted to bring DCL in. Could go for someone cheaper than Grealish like Traore/Gray to afford Wilson to DCL next week?

there are some nice 4.5 mids, Allan, Sissoko, McArthur etc that you don’t need to worry about getting -1 for conceding 2 goals against the better teams… I am never happy playing my cheapie bench fodder defender against the top teams but am quite happy to throw in a mid against them as my last starting spot

    Really tempting to wc,

    Original team

    Sanchez foster
    Taa shaw ayling tsimi veltman
    Salah bruno raph Ben brownhill
    Ings Antonio toney

Am not happy with toney ings ayling veltman tsimi bruno and want dcl kaku/rono jota and a wolves asset for their fixtures.

    Preferred wc team

    Sanchez steele
    Taa Shaw semedo livra williams
    Salah jota raph sarr allan
    Kaku/rono dcl antonio

What do you think about these moves?
    - Bruno, Toney, Ings out (-8 hit)
    - 6.7 mid (maybe Raphinha), DCL, Ronaldo

    And my team will be:
    Sanchez
    TAA Shaw White
    Salah Greenwood Raphinha* Benrahma
    Ronaldo* DCL* Antonio

    Bench: Steele, Brownhill, Ayling, Livramento

Pretty standard move for those taking double hits I imagine.

Lets discuss the benefits to Wildcarding before GW4 in comparison to waiting until later...

Far more Premiums this year than in my 5 (It's nothing I know) years of playing FPL.

    Thoughts?!

    1. Dr. Rog
      • 15 Years
      3 years, 2 months ago

Its pretty clear to me. Migrate to a structure that has 1 premium mid and 1 premium fwd. Chop and change with the fixtures but maintain structure to avoid over burdening yourself with superflous transfers. Once team value is sufficiently built then consider migrating towards 3 premiums.

As for wildcard - its always the same. Activate when you feel like you need to make 4 or more transfers in a given week.

Not sure I'd put Benrahma in my team now, may be shunted to the wing. Coleman is an interesting pick although I'm not sure he's worth it for his three or four assists when you can get James for .6 more. Likewise, Spurs don't look attacking enough for Regullion. Jota will end up being a super sub again unless Firminho really is out for a while. 7 out of 10.

Haha good timing of your reply.

          - Semedo is good, but you're spending 0.5 more based on attack output which Wolves haven't managed to crack yet. I'd go Kilman
          - Pickford, is questionable due to how they've been defensively. Maybe consider Schmeical/Sanchez rotation (have a look for yourself if you like it), or consider Sa just due to better fixtures and he's 5.0
          - Torres at 7.1 splits opinion. He's a rotation risk, which with your bench doesn't give you many options. You could upgrade with the savings from above, alternatively consider either a 4.5 2 pointer (Sissoko) or Murphy who I think could be a hidden gem enabler, however is 5.0. Gilmour is the obvious option but yet to really see anything from Norwich
          - I'd get a playing third striker as this is your WC and you'll be committed for a while. Consider Bamford who's price is a gem, Jimenez if you want to take a Wolves gamble or DCL of course
          - Ronaldo, I mean as much as I love him and I'm emotionally attached, United have looked poor in their build up. I'd consider Lukaku to start with.

Think there are better options than Pickford, Semedo, Gray, Cucho.

Feel free to copy and paste as required!
Ronaldo’s price is locked until the next GW.
Yes you can swap for Bruno, your choice.
Yes he is expensive after not being in FPL for a while.
He will likely start from the bench.
It’s not worth using your WC to just make this change.
Balance across the squad is probably a better strategy.

Yeah, this is it. Sancho was new to the club, had been on international duty for much of the summer then on a holiday after, and was generally being integrated into the club…plus was ill. Ronaldo is a club legend, who the fans (and also himself) will expect to start immediately.

"He's likely to start from the bench" is fine as a statement. I'd add to it, "He's equally likely to play the full game".
Sancho started on the bench, so there's precedent.
        I think he'll play the 90. Probably.

Who's at risk of dropping out after Brighton's signing of their new left back defender?

    Veltman to take Duffy's spot?

Isn't Duffy effectively replacing Ben White?

So far but what matters is the pecking order. Veltman was rated higher than Duffman by Potter. Doubt its changed

Dunk, Webster, Veltman, and Duffy can all play until Lamptey's back. As it was last season with White.

Lamptey will be back soon and they just paid 16m for a quality LB so Veltman will play CB leaving Duffman in the cold

Surely it's just March/Gross moved up the pitch? So MacAllister or Connolly.

Neale is the pro at this.

I dunno if Im gonna keep Salah. I kept him for a near full season last season because of "Salah highest expected goal. Highest shots on target" etc2 and he ended with well, not a lot of double digits if I remember correctly.

The second highest scoring player in the game.
Literally 2 double digit hauls already, including against the best defence in the league.
      Leeds, Palace and Brentford next.

If you want to get rid then that's your call, one less rival for the rest of us.

He have to score 2 double digit against 2 of them. If not I might just take the risk and pull the trigger.

Last season he also had a hattrick in the 1st match, then once I got him, he was dissapointing for his price. Highest scorer but still, how many others areas I could have improved if I downgraded him and upgraded others.

“At least a couple of weeks”

Can we assume that Jota is nailed for at least Leeds and Palace then as long as Liverpool don’t buy anyone today?

I've made a -4 transfer, if I activate my wildcard now does it negate the -4?

Been debating a -8 or wildcard. Got 2.5 itb and decent squad, horrendous bench and have Barnes though.

      Yes it will

If you do a WC it will negate the -4 but you will have to use the WC, you can't do a -8.

Horrendous bench is ok short term if you think you have a decent squad

Actually, I take that back, too many risks. No subs would play, Livramento would start too. Manquillo, Obafemi, Amartey

      Sanchez
      TAA, Shaw, Livramento
      Raph, Barnes, Salah, Jota, Benrahma,
      Ronaldo, Antonio.

Whether to take -8 total for Barnes before price drop to Torres, Traore etc. 2.5itb is fun to play with though.

    Wildcard team, thoughts appreciated;

    Sanchez
    James / White / Shaw
    Salah / Raphina / Torres / Gray
    Lukaku / Ronaldo / Antonio

    Foster / Duffy / Livramento / Allan

I know James is out for a week, and Arsenal are awful right now but they have decent fixtures coming up.

TAA gets you average 180 plus points at 7.5m and 200 on a good season. Why would anyone offload such value?!

Would be concerned about Duffy long term with Cucurella coming in
