Spurs v Leeds team news: Gelhardt starts as Raphinha and Rodrigo miss out

Sunday’s Premier League action continues in north London as Tottenham Hotspur host Leeds United.

Kick-off is at 16:30 BST.

Antonio Conte makes two changes to his starting XI, with Japhet Tanganga (£4.3m) and Harry Winks (£4.4m) coming in for Cristian Romero (£4.9m) and Oliver Skipp (£4.5m), who miss out through injury and suspension respectively.

Harry Kane (£12.2m), fresh from scoring seven goals in two games for England, leads the line and will be flanked by Son Heung-min (£10.4m) and Lucas Moura (£6.4m) in a 3-4-3 formation.

For Leeds, Raphinha (£6.7m) is ill and Rodrigo (£6.3m) has a minor foot injury. As a result, Joe Gelhardt (£4.5m) makes his first Premier League start, while Mateusz Klich (£5.4m) will be deployed in the more advanced midfield role.

Patrick Bamford (£7.7m), Luke Ayling (£4.3m), Jamie Shackleton (£4.5m) and Robin Koch (£4.3m) all remain out.

Newcastle different beast under Howe. Awful defence so have to attack

Not great at the moment. Wish I had Jimenez for the next two, but fixtures get dicey for a while after then. Ronaldo and Lukaku could be a thing again soon, and DCL/Bamford when they're fit. But atm it's slim pickings.

    Sanchez (Steele)
    TAA Cancelo Rudiger Livra Duffy
    Salah Jota Raphinha ESR Gallagher
    Toney Antonio Kane

    0.3 itb. 1 FT

Had a very nice game week, but need to get either James or Chilwell in now I feel. Not sure how? Should I just transfer Rudiger to one of them?

Maguire suspended for the Chelsea game. I wonder if Chelsea will appeal.

    Ignored on last page:

    Best moves with 2FT?

    a) Antonio Omobamidele to Denis TAA
    b) Vardy Semedo to Kane Dier

Spurs look poor but have good fixtures and may turn it around under Conte?

Feel sorry for those who followed a lot of poor advice from "experts" advocating breaking their team up to get Kane or Son in for the Conte revolution. That was an expensive 2 points, although accept Leeds defence (albiet a team struggling) was a step up on Albania and San Marino.

That said, the choice amongst forwards is dire. Just go for the cheapest to get 2 points every week in a 5-4-1 with the vastly under priced premium defenders. Trent, Cancelo, Reece James and Chilwell hauled a collective 48 points !. Vardy, Antonio and Hwang hauled 6 points between them ! Calvert Lewin needs to get fit quick. This trend may not continue forever, but those 4 are massively underpriced as two of them (Trent & Cancelo) are pretty much the creative playmakers in their teams, and James & Chilwell are pretty much attacking wingers. And you get clean sheets as a bonus.

I am seriously thinking of taking funds out of forward line and possibly going 5-4-1.

A bit off the topic, can anyone suggest when to use the remaining chips ? Most of us have only used the WC and others are still in tact.

To me it looks logical to use the chips in double GWs. But

    1. How many double GWs will be get this season?

    2. If there is only 1 double GW, then I would prefer to use the " free hit" chip to get maximum Double GW players for the GW instead of ripping apart the team to get those players.

    3. Onc can also argue to use the " triple captain" or " bench boost" in the double GW. I guess there is less chance of a captain failure if "triple captain" is used in double GW and it makes sense. Let's say for example, if captain makes a total of 15 points in the double GW, then with triple captain its a gain of 15 point only ( 45 instead of 30), but I guess teams which are already setup with most of the double GW players can afford to use " triple captain" in the double GW.

I don't really see any point in using the bench boost chip for the double GW, as there is less chance of a complete fail of the bench boost chip even if used in a typical GW with good benches, as the point is not relied only on 1 person ( I.e. the captain).

Anyone please give me some input to clarify my doubts? Or correct my thought above?

      1) we don't know
      2) usually more than one
      3) yeah most use it in a dgw, leads to higher optimism and therefore bigger dissapointment

Is this worth a WC? I do have 2FTs and 0.7itb but there's a handful to players that need to go.

    Sanchez Steele
    TAA Cancelo Chilwell Livra White
    Salah Havertz Gallagher Raphinha Gilmour
    Antonio Toney Vardy
