Everton v Man City team news: Mahrez benched again as Calvert-Lewin misses out

Everton v Manchester City is the sixth and final Gameweek 27 match of the day, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 17:30 GMT.

The team news doesn’t make good reading for Free Hitters, with Riyad Mahrez – selected by over 90% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers playing the chip this week – benched again.

Despite fears over mass Pep Guardiola rotation after last week’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, there is only one change to the City starting XI as John Stones comes in for Kyle Walker at right-back.

Mahrez is joined among the City substitutes by the fit-again Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin does not make Everton’s squad because of a groin injury that will keep him out for seven to 10 days.

Abdoulaye Doucoure replaces him in the starting line-up in Frank Lampard’s only change from Gameweek 26.

      Apparently offside in the build up. Wish they'd just make it clearer to people watching.

        The offside was after the even. That's why the restart was a free kick

        Nope, I’ve got back and checked. There was an offside AFTER the foul but as they cheated and didn’t give a penalty. They went with the offside

    Fh team has 59 with 3 Burnley to go. Original team would have had 31 + probably 9 for Cancelo cap + Bowen + whoever I got in, so although I had only 4/11 returns (I don't count cs for mids), I rate that a success.

    What about your comparison?

      Only marginal advantage of FH so far seems to be, which was expected ... next few GWs are more intense 😛

      Have 19 point gain so far (FH has Pope, Mee, Weghorst (c) still to go vs old team would have Bowen and Jimenez). Probably would have capped Son so not looking an amazing FH. The punt on expensive Manchester mids backfired.

    Already Priced out by .1 to do

    Weghorst & Bruno >> Kane & Saka/JWP (6.5m) -4

    So for 6.4 I can get 2 risky purchases
    A. ESR (illness but I think he will get his place back)
    B. Neto (only returning from injury, low scoring team).

    Any suggestions?
