Gameweek 3 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) concludes with a fixture that has plenty riding on it, not just for us Fantasy managers.

Manchester United and Liverpool have had poor early starts to their respective campaigns and so far don’t have a win between them.

The game is also being played against the backdrop of yet another demonstration against United’s much-maligned owners, with planned shows of dissent inside and outside Old Trafford.

Kick-off, pre-match protests permitting, is at 20:00 BST.

As for the team news, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag makes four changes to the side that started the desperate 4-0 loss at Brentford.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Fred are all benched as Anthony Elanga, Tyrell Malacia, Scott McTominay and Raphael Varane are handed recalls.

“We know Liverpool are a really good team and you need to press them. You have to do that out of a block and need energy, that is why we went with Rashford, Sancho, Elanga.” – Erik ten Hag on dropping Cristiano Ronaldo

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp meanwhile makes three alterations from the side that drew 1-1 against Crystal Palace in Gameweek 2.

Roberto Firmino is in for the suspended Darwin Nunez, while Jordan Henderson and Joe Gomez replace Fabinho and Nathaniel Phillips.

The most-captained player of Gameweek 3, Mohamed Salah, features in tonight’s match, with 2.4 million FPL bosses handing him the armband.

The Egyptian has scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances against tonight’s opponents, averaging 12 points per match in that time.

If you've got Maddison you should keep him. Well done in selecting him....he was on my radar from the start of the season and I moved to Mount instead, which was obviously the wrong choice!!

Yeah I picked him up in gw3 as well but I also don’t have Salah which makes Diaz more tempting. Leaning towards sticking now too

I said last week after the Brentford result n will say again.

Man united's cheaper assets will prove to be gold very soon. We are one or two tweaks away for getting consistent at both ends. There will be some bumpy rides surely along the way coz of the way ETH looking to play, but time is near to fill your boots with some cheap assets like Malacia Dalot Martinez Rashford Martial , Erikson and Sancho.

I feel Some bandwagons are going to start after the Southampton game next week as it should suit us well for some goals.

I think Southampton is going to concede some goals. Who will be the highest scoring United midfielder?

My pick would be Rashford or even Ronaldo could get some joy should he start, after all momentum is everything in football and I believe today we were outstanding and plenty of positives to take from starting with the CB partnership Varane and Martinez. Good base set now to go from there really

I don’t think he can be after todays performance. Consistency is the issue. They were big up for it today

What would you do with this lot?

    Raya
    TAA, Robbo, James, Cancelo
    Salah, Martinelli, Maddison, Zaha
    Jesus, Havertz

    Ward, Neco, Andreas, Archer

Played my wildcard in GW3... moving out Harrison before he hauled (dumb I know). Really don't like my team but I'm now stuck with it. Tempted to just do nothing for the forseeable...

          Switch to 343 perhaps?

Your midfield is damn strong so keep it. Downgrade Havertz to Toney, downgrade Robbo to 4.0 and upgrade Archer.

Yeah I need to go Toney or Mitro really, just got annoyed cos I was all set to go with Toney from the start but had doubts last minute. Then felt like I'd missed his hot streak, but now looks pretty consistent.

Yep Havertz has to be the priority, really want an Arsenal defender too

Maybe loose Cancelo. I honestly do not think any team will be keeping msny clean sheets thos season with pretty much all defences being shredded.

I am keeping Trent and considering ditching Cancelo.

                  Liverpool's form is temproary anyway.

I thought the same, went against the template initially and the James and Cancelo picks did really well. So I panicked and played my wildcard bringing them in and now that looks like a bad call. So I'm gonna just have to stick with it now and hope it works out, but currently over 4 mil when I could've been 1 mil had I left it.

Just do Havertz > Toney for now.

Liverpool at home vs BOU next.

Nope, and I only selected him last week. Complete wildcard fail, should've left alone.

I'd say so. Compare to mine:

      Sanchez / Ward
      TAA, Cancelo, Perisic, James, Cucurella
Salah, Kulu, Martinelli / Andreas, Da Silva
      Jesus, Haaland / Archer

With 3 games in the space of about 8 days, I have a feeling Haaland will miss one of them, most likely Nottingham Forest.

How do we plan for this, or do nothing?
