Aston Villa v Manchester City brings to an end a roller-coaster day of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) action.

Kick-off at Villa Park is at 17:30 BST.

There is just one change apiece for the two sides playing this evening.

Douglas Luiz replaces Emiliano Buendia for Villa, who look to be packing the midfield in preparation for their free-scoring visitors.

New signing Jan Bednarek is on the bench but Leander Dendoncker, who had a sore throat as of Friday, isn’t part of the squad.

Pep Guardiola’s solitary alteration unsurprisingly sees Kevin De Bruyne return to the starting line-up, with Julian Alvarez dropping to the bench.

Jack Grealish and Nathan Ake are fit enough to be substitutes for the visitors.

All of that means another appearance for Erling Haaland, one of six City players to start all six of their league matches so far in 2022/23.

Haaland comes into this fixture off the back of two successive 17-point hauls and was transferred in by a further 834,616 FPL teams ahead of Gameweek 6, pushing his ownership past the 75% mark.

He was by some distance the most-captained player of the week, too, with almost 5.4 million managers handing him the armband.

GAMEWEEK 6 LINE-UPS

Aston Villa XI: Martinez, Digne, Mings, Konsa, Cash, Ramsey, Kamara, McGinn, Luiz, Watkins, Bailey.

Subs: Olsen, Chambers, Augustinsson, Young, Bednarek, Coutinho, Buendia, Ings, Archer.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Walker, Gundogan, Rodri, Silva, Foden, De Bruyne, Haaland.

Subs: Ortega, Wilson-Esbrand, Lewis, Ake, Gomez, Grealish, Palmer, Alvarez, Mahrez.

          I know.

points still count, especially captain points.

It's relative to the non-template teams for a start.

        2. Deulofail
          • 9 Years

          99.74% overall I believe, actually

            • 9 Years
            3 years, 3 months ago

            Hmm, maybe more like 134.50%

            LiveFPL is confusing.

So that means 134-191 EO in the area that you are competing with come the end of the season. Let's be real, the top 10k not isn't the same top 10 at the end, and you don't know if you'll be competing against those people, or in the region of the top top10k, or in the region of a 2-3m ranked crowd. So I think he 191 is not too relevant right now, but even so a few points is a haul compared to owning someone else and losing up to 10 points

    2. Deulofail
      • 9 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

Not really. Plenty don't own or haven't captained, and his EO isn't even 200% in the top 0.1% players who are there because they haven't been sucking points out of him already.

      1. Deulofail
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 3 months ago

As above - basically if you’ve capped him you’ll get a very small gain, he scores 10points and you get circa 2-3point gain

    3. Philosopher's Stones
      • 5 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

Not really. If you're having a bad start to the season, a Haaland haul will definitely help you climb up as many in lower ORs don't even own him.

I expect it'll go back to 2 soon with the fixture swings. Maybe Haaland and Mitrovic, then a choice of Isak, Auba, Vardy, Toney or a midfielder, and I suspect many will choose a midfielder for a surer bet.
