Gameweek 10 continues this weekend and Betway have joined in with a couple of Super Boost offers.

Four meetings take place on a relatively quiet Saturday before things culminate with the Manchester derby the following day.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK 10 SUPER BOOST?

If you’re new to the Super Boost, it’s effectively enhanced odds on cherry-picked match events.

A trio of match events, to be exact, so you’ll need all three to come in.

On Saturday, Betway are offering 7/2 odds for this treble rather than the original 9/4:

  • Raheem Sterling (1+ Shots on Target)
  • Cole Palmer (1+ Shots on Target)
  • Bryan Mbeumo (1+ Shots on Target)

Meanwhile, there’s 4/1 instead of 2/1 on offer for Sunday’s Super Boost:

  • Erling Haaland (1+ Shots on Target)
  • Marcus Rashford (1+ Shots on Target)
  • Rodri (2+ Tackles)

SATURDAY

The second match is the lunchtime kick-off between Chelsea and Brentford.

Although no player has more penalty area touches than Raheem Sterling (91), he has blanked in seven of his nine league outings. Yet the other two were explosive, with a trio of goal involvements against both Luton Town and Burnley.

Team-mate Cole Palmer has started the most recent three and brought home an attacking return each time. Furthermore, they’ve all featured at least one shot on target from the £42.5 million summer signing.

Similarly to Sterling, Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo has also used Burnley to rectify poor form. He’d failed to produce in the four appearances before last weekend, until producing a goal and assist past the Clarets. He had six attempts and four on target, needing only one of the latter to meet his part of Saturday’s treble.

SUNDAY

Then, on Sunday, the local rivals that sit third and fourth overall for goal attempts collide at Old Trafford.

Amongst all players, Erling Haaland and Marcus Rashford are the top two for shots (34 and 33) but the Norwegian’s 18 on target – averaging two per match – far exceed the latter’s seven.

Manchester City’s leading man has netted twice this week, ending a quieter spell of just one goal from five in all competitions. We’re slowly seeing Haaland return to his unstoppable best and he’ll want to repeat the three goals and two assists of last season’s 6-3 derby win.

But, in the reverse fixture, it was Rashford’s name on the scoresheet. He’s getting at least two shots in each match but is on five successive league blanks.

Boosting City’s chance of victory is the non-suspended Rodri. They lost the two matches missed but have won every other one.

Without referencing thought ( the mind) is there a problem with gambling? Or for that matter are there any problems ever? Sit with this inquiry question, something may reveal itself.

I never felt there was value here. It's wrecked by the spammer Foo Fighter, but even without him, I don't give or take advice from fellow numpties. For me, as much as there are far too many identikit "experts" on YouTube, the better one or two are still far ahead in news and analysis of articles here.

West Ham vs Everton has been selected for TV broadcast, it's had to be brought forward by an hour so Sky can broadcast both games.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 28 at 3pm.

But because of West Ham's involvement in the Europa League, the fixture was moved to Sunday and was originally going to be at 2pm

A lot of moaners in these comments. There is absolutely nothing wrong with gambling and it is enjoyed by millions of people across the world. Yes a minority of people will form an addiction but they should seek the help they need and should not be a cause for the rest of us to be restricted from something we enjoy

Define a ruined life. Have you never gambled? If never then is your life perfect? Is anyone’s life perfect? Whether you gamble or not, life is a game of probabilities and possibilities, and it’s a losing game no matter how well you play it. Any fun is temporary and your way isn’t any better than anyone else’s

ban alcohol then because some people will become dependent.

alcoholism is worse for your health but I think the point here is that a smart device and bank account can quickly lead to financial harm for those hooked on slots, casino or card games etc.

I gamble (not much, generally small bets of 0.5-1 per bet amounting to 15-20pw) but it isn't difficult to see the issue. This is pushing betting firms and the practice of betting (even telling you what bets to make each week) on a forum which is centered around a game in which people make guesses (bets?) on a player doing well in a game, on a forum for a game in which people often place money on, on a forum with minors. Not difficult to see that this is a targeted demographic that will have vulnerable people that could fall into addiction.

it's also worse in a sense because a lot of social media likes and notifications etc have the same psychological bells and whistles that slot machines etc play into with endorphins and reward receptors.

So the digital native generation may be more hard wired to it and certainly much more exposed to it too.

I read an article 5 years or more ago where it was discussed that the 18-30 group will be targeted in relation to making them play a more 'skill based' game given the proclivity of gambling taking place on many more digital platforms.

The ''affordability checks' that are coming in via the Gambling Commission's proposals will soon enough mean that punters will have to produce bank statements, proof of earnings, savings etc once they lose a certain amount [£125 in a month].

These adverts are going to disappear overnight bro

Okay, back to the usual 4-2-3-1 from Poch

Gusto benching is initially surprising though, especially with James still on the bench. I guess Cucurella was too impressive during Gusto's suspension to drop back to bench duty soon after

Colwill still starting at LB regardless of this, and Palmer still starting at CAM (I think) are good signs for FPL budgetary reasons

Is it worth downgrading udoggy to branthwaite/Maguire to enable Maddison to Son?

Didn't see the game, but how did Romero end up with 2 bonus?

Some key tackles and a lot of passes between him & Vicario after the goal when slowing the game down, I guess

Reminded me of Brighton at 1-0 with the slow, slow, fast tempo - waiting for the crowd to get frustrated & the opposition press to commit, then 2-3 direct passes to get in behind

Third of the game was Vicario & Romero passing backwards & forwards, yawn fest

Probably completed passes. They were just passing the ball between them for fun .

Brighton and Utd hardly the tightest of defences if you go for an attacking player?

Would avoid defenders & keeper now for sure.

What’s the average team value at the moment?

You need to remove all players to see the actual value, some are in for a surprise

Yeah, this crashes me down from 104.3 to 102.1

I do not think mine is particularly high. I have just seen some figures being bandied about like 104+ and was surprised so wanted to see if these were outliers or the norm. Mine is 102.4 before selling. Not fantastic by any stretch but I am happy as I have all the main players everybody is trying to get in at the moment (less Trippier).

I'm on £103.5m but that drops right down to £101.2m if I was to transfer out the whole team.

102 point something down to 100.5 when I sell. Not great! I have all the main players though as I got them in before the prices changes over the last 2-3 weeks.

Mine is not great, 102.9. Not much of it this season is liquid cash from hopping on/off bandwagons; its mostly all accrued in Son, Maddi & Trippier (0.6, 0.5, 0.5 respectively)

      103.4 down to 101.5 selling.

Loads of value tied up in Son, Madds, Álvarez & Watkins.

Measly 101.9 here and a dumpster bench that is entirely flagged

Before the season all the talk was of spurs conceding tons of goals but the defence is actually fairly solid. Helps when they’ve some how stumbled across 2 world class centre backs in Romero and vdv

Even Messi says Romero is the best defender in the world 🙂

VDV is seriously impressive. He's going to attract the (even bigger) clubs.

Vicario is also a massive part. Really good keeper.
