1ft, 0.2itb. GTG? Would you play Soucek over anyone?
    Flekken
    Trippier Cash Tsimikas
    Salah Son Mbeumo Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Alvarez
    (Turner Soucek Tarkowski Baldock)

Garnacho might get a few starts off the back of that yesterday. 4.7m possibly not too bad bench fodder minimal risk if say you wanted Isak or Alvarez to go with Haaland & Watkins.

Alvarez owners, what are you doing with him?
If Bowen is fit, I'm most likely getting rid as need to fund Mbeumo somehow. Otherwise, could keep him but 11 points in 4 games sounds kinda meh anyway...

I got him at 6.5m and he's taking every corner for City. They have Luton and Palace soon. Can't sell him. If i didn't have him at base price I probably would have sold him.

It's time to remove him I think. He's getting rotated a bit more (wasn't supposed to start at the weekend), he's less directly involved, and there is the blank in GW18 as well which looms.

Keeping for now, think City can put 3 or 4 by Spurs. Bowen to Mbeumo is the nobler for me and allows me to upgrade Martinelli to Saka.

Alvarez out for gw18 though and Watkins looks like the ideal replacement due to the fixture.

Had 2 FT so sold him last night & gone back to 3-5-2 with mbuemo (tight budget so had to get in before price rise)
I have bowen but my bench has semenyo & taylor & happy for semenyo to come on in bowen not fit

Now that I've sold. Can see hom scoring well over next 4 weeks. I sold watkins at worst time. Sold mbeumo before gos double digit hauls.

I've saved an FT to perform a mini-wildcard and finally get Salah in. Not sure this is my best plan now though given the total cost involved being four transfers plus having to play a rubbish 11th man this week unless I go -8? Watkins is scoring, Ode is back, Utd are winning too so until Bruno gets a 5th yellow he's not a desperate sell. Son at 9.0m still seems a bargain to me. Happy to cap Haaland this week too vs that Spurs CB pairing.

    Which move do you reckon?

    Areola
    Schar Gabriel Guehi
    Son Saka Ode Bruno
    Haaland(c) Alvarez Watkins

    Turner Longstaff Estupinan Branthwaite

a Ode Bruno Estupinan > Salah Nakamba Baldock (leaves 0.1 leeway for Longstaff>Palmer next week)

    b Alvaraz> Archer & Longstaff>Mbuemo 3-5-2

c Estu>4.0ish defender and reassess next week?

Cost for A is so high that you have to sell two playmakers for one premium, but I understand the need for it.

C is less urgent. You have good team to play.

B looks great for this GW and next four while A will make it complete.

I think it's between B and A. The one you buy could be this GW captain.

Agreed the cost of Salah in is big. Plus I fill myself up with bench dross. Only trouble with B is I'm not addressing my weak link, Estupinan.

Just thinking I could get Darwin in for Alvarez, cap Haaland, have Mbuemo as standby move for when Bruno gets booked? Estu to Maguire leaves me 0.1m leeway..?

    Areola
    Cash Saliba TAA
    Salah Son Saka Bowen
    Watkins Darwin Alvarez

    Leno, Palmer, Andersen, Udogie - 2FT, 0.1itb

A - Watkins, Son, TAA ➡ Haaland, Mbeumo, Tsimikas (-4)
B - Bowen ➡ Mbeumo (if Bowen is ruled out for GW14)
    C - Andersen ➡ Zinchenko or Colwill
    D - anything else?

Original plan was to do A to get Haaland back for the Spurs game, but starting to feel that Trent is a decent differential and Watkins is still returning and has a decent fixture in GW14. Son looked decent against Villa and has a good record against City.

Now I've gone blank and not sure what move to make.

No I'll be way out of budget.

If I do Alvarez to Haaland, then I'll only have 10.2 to replace Son and TAA with. Not much I can get with that and probably wouldn't be worth the -4 then.

        Have Palmer already.

I'd need a 3.7 midfielder to do those moves 🙁

Don't think there's a way for me to upgrade Alvarez to Haaland sadly.

            Won't work with Saka either.

The plan was to take out my most expensive defender and forward, as well as my 2nd most expensive midfielder just to be able to afford Haaland by 0.1 and still have a couple of decent replacements for Son and Trent in Mbeumo and Tsimikas.

Thinking I'm better off just sticking to the original plan or just scrapping it altogether and doing Bowen to Mbeumo and assess again later in bringing Haaland back for GW16. Can't see any other alternatives bringing in Haaland for this week.

I sold Gordon for Eze this week. Was sure Chelsea and Reece James, with recent performances in mind, would shackle Gordon and Newcastle, with their depleted squad and looking a bit Off-form, it seemed sensible – to myself, at least.

Now Gordon produced the goods, and Eze really didn’t, it is what it is, I made my pick.
Getting Mbeumo this week (for Kulusevski), but should I prioritize getting Gordon back soon as well? Also looking at Palmer and Gibbs-White as the cheap midfielder spot.

    1. The Iceman
      • 1 Year

I have no idea where Reece James has got his reputation from if I'm being completely honest. He's barely ever fit and hasn't strung three good games together for god knows how long.

To answer your question, prioritise bringing in Mbeumo this week and you can always get Gordon after.

Thanks mate. What's going on with Martinelli? He's not playing bad but he seems to be nowhere near the dangerous positions he was taking up in the box last season.

A - Bowen will always play if fit, Martinelli higher risk of rotation.

Thanks. Leaning that way as Trossard is a solid rotation option ahead of a busy Xmas period.

    Who to sacrifice to strengthen team 2FT 0.0itb;

    areola (Turner)
    Gabriel, cash, Tsim (Guehi, Taylor)
    Salah, Son, Saka, Hwang (Chuk)
    Haaland, Darwin, Watkins

    a) Son/Chuk > Mbeumo/Gordon (leaves 0.8m ITB)
    b) Watkins/ Hwang/cash > Isak/Mbeumo/Lascelles -4

I don't really like either option. Not sure if this is financially viable I would downgrade Cash and Guehi this week and then upgrade Chuk to Gordon next week.

dont love them either - nope that doesnt work as would end up with 3x 4.0 defenders

Is anybody looking at bringing Neto in once he is fit? I had him until his injury and then brought Gordon in and will stick with Gordon now but was wondering if anybody else is thinking about getting him back in. He was very consistent for me and ticked over nicely getting some kind of return most weeks.

If he comes back in the same form as before I'll probably get him. Had him all season till he got injured.

It will be tough for me to justify with Gordon also doing well. Should he start getting rotated, play deeper or get injured I will consider it though. I agree, he was a great asset for me until injured.

I really like Kompany and I think he is doing a good job at Burnley, despite their league position. I hope they don't go down again but suspect they will. I wonder if they will stick with him or not?

Unlikely if they continue to perform like this. Maybe re-hire him next year when they go down.

I just think the squad is not good enough and they would struggle irrespective of who they brought in.

made zero attempt to adapt their style to the premier league. the obsession with playing out from the back is killing these teams. they dont have the ability to do it. i think for that reason he should go.

Yeah this is fair. He kind of reminds me of Bob Bradley in that sense when he took over Swansea. You could see what he was trying to do style wise but he just did not have the team for it and so they got steamrollered every game.

Bowen & Diaby > Mbeumo & Gordon (use 2 FT)

    PR

Bowen > Mbeumo this week (roll a FT and do the other move next week)

Truly awful week for me. 25 with Ait-Nouri to play. Dropped from 26k to 113k.

    We go again!

Does anybody have any news on Alisson? Who is the Liverpool number 2 - Adrian or Kelleher?

Saw someone on Twitter say Alisson is out for 5 weeks but just speculation at this stage.

      Kelleher is number 2.

Thanks. I was debating getting Sanchez in for Turner for Chelsea's nice run but they have been inconsistent so may go Kelleher and then when Alisson is back in 5 weeks (perhaps) see how Sanchez has been playing then.

Woiuldn`t spend that many transfers on GK, prioritize mids and forwards as GKs and defs give very few CSs in general this year.

My midfield and strikers won't change until AFCON and Asia Cup so I am basically playing around with defenders. The only move I would consider for the attackers is Watkins to Darwin and I am not convinced it is the correct decision as Watkins is their talisman and will always play, whereas Darwin may get rotated.

Yeah I feel the same at the moment. Can't see my front 7 changing after I buy Mbeumo this week, unless there's an injury or suspension of course.

I am only getting Mbeumo in if Bowen is out. If I do though, I probably won't make any other changes until Asia/Africa tournaments. Those front seven are all firing well and I have jumped in OR for the last few GWs. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I expect Dier to start, he as at least bit more physical then Emerson.. but still that could be another nice fixture for Erling in City's "difficult" fixture run 🙂

I had Eze earlier in the season and got rid. I think he is a good player in real life but doesn't deliver in FPL. I said this on here last week and was told I was wrong. I was considering Guehi however but will steer clear. I am bringing in Saliba and possibly Kelleher.

    Haaland Alvarez (Archer)

Alvarez, Cash, Martinelli and Pickford can all go. There are some good fixture swings coming up. You could consider Darwin, Watkins, Tsimikis, Kelleher (if Allison is out), Sanchez, Mbeumo, Gordon, Neto (when back)

Sequencing is his choice and he won't do all transfers this week but that aside, I am not sure I 100% agree with you. Alvarez has been playing deeper and other players are coming back. I am not sure he is the fantastic choice he was 5-6GWs ago. I sold for Watkins at the right time when his returns were drying up and don't regret it.

Have the team below and considering Alvarez to Darwin or Isak.

      Areola
      Andersen Gabriel Trippier
Diaby Gordon Salah (VC) Mbeumo Son
      Haaland (C) Alvarez

      Flekken Archer Tsimikas Kabore
