Probably yes, you can start Petrovic all gws from 35-38. Only worry would be Sanchez getting a game but if your backup gk is a starter go for it.

Interesting this comes up. Have barely seen it mentioned here so not expecting many replies, but anyone else on FH37? It will hopefully be helpful as I have time to wait on a few things like seeing how Wilson affects Isak's minutes along with some potential punts on City players I normally would avoid, but my issue currently is who to target in the meantime.

The plan was to get Gordon and Isak (along with Palmer back) this week, but using 2FTs on players that everyone will already have / will be getting very soon feels a little redundant, one of the benefits of FHing in GW37 is that I should be able to target players others can't/won't in the meantime as they'll be getting doublers, so given I'm now just looking at GWs 36 + 38 past this week I feel like I probably should be taking punts elsewhere. The fixtures for Newcastle in GW35+36 are hard to ignore though.

Looking at Watkins over Isak (CHE, bri, cpl), and from GW36 Wood (shu + bur). Starting to wonder if I should keep Olise too (MNU + AVL) although Mateta is probably enough.

On FH37 here! You’re right hard to ignore the NEW assets and agree that it feels like we’re “catching up” with gw35 WCers. Like the watkins punt yes!

Cheers, feels weird mentioning Watkins as a punt but his ownership has dropped a fair bit and I feel like it might do further this week. Do you think avoiding Newcastle assets is feasible this week though given the fixtures? That's where my struggle is

Nate I’m wc this week and Watkins is first down on the list double or not. I’m targeting players who have something to play for. He’s knocking on the door for the golden boot I would t even be surprised if he took a penalty or two if it’s a case they’re ahead in a match. He’s nailed on my wc for sure.

I was actually thinking of that factor myself, definitely feel like him getting a penalty is possible at some point, looking at the GW38 fixtures I think that Palace - Villa game could be full of goals. Palace playing well under a new manager and enjoying having Eze and Olise fit and playing well with Mateta, and Villa potentially celebrating 4th place and going all guns out to help Watkins go for the golden boot

    2. lilmessipran

Seems like a solid strat and you are still backing the good players/teams..you can easily focus on maximizing triple Ars, double/triple Liv, Watkins etc.and not get distracted by some poor doubles/teams in 37.

I certainly wouldn’t go without Newcastle. You’d need Gordon or Issac or maybe Barnes as a differential. At least one. I think they can score plenty of goals over the next few they seem to be peaking again and with Wilson back in training now maybe a bit extra

On exactly the same strategy. I'm keeping Eze (team linked) and looking at bringing in Mbeumo this week - have you considered him instead of Gordon?

Also Gordon away (36, one of 37 and 38) is not so prolific.

      1. Nate(U)dog(ie)
        • 5 Years

I actually had Mbeumo listed in that bunch so I'm not sure how it cut off! Definitely considering him especially if Toney isn't available / isn't being used as he might be on penalties. Also interesting on Gordon, I knew Newcastle weren't excellent away from home but didn't realise that was also a bit of a specific thing with Gordon

I'm going without Gordon until Free Hit - risky but worth it I think.
If your interested I'm doing a -4 this week to sell VVD to White as most won't have double Arsenal defence anymore and then D Luiz to Mbeumo.

Gw36 and 38 probably leads you to Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Spurs and Chelsea, despite yesterday's result.

Newcastle are fine, especially at home.

Isak and Watkins well worth selecting.

I’m on FH37 and can’t wait. Thinking of getting Watkins/Isak and Gordon for GW35 for a hit, though would mean going without Son until FH. Not decided on going Son-less yet, but not convinced of Spurs and depending on how BB lands this week, I may have to get some differentials in

    1. tuvok

The like for like is Davies, who has come on for Udogie to play LB in recent games. But Davies is slow and immobile compared to Udogie, so he can't play the same role very well. This means there are some suggestions that Van Der Ven goes over to LB (he is very fast & inverted for Wolfsburg at times so knows how to play the way Udogie does) - which would mean January signing Dragusin would come in to play CB. The other option is Emerson Royale who played a few games at LB earlier on this season.

So.. TDLR it will probs be Davies but there is enough doubt to put me off signing him in FPL

Gabriel a definite keep on WC for me and Watkins a likely bring in. Bringing Salah in GW30 was a mistake so worried about losing him, and Saka is unlikely to get a mega haul that could kill a WC.

Good week to FH. BB squad would have to be selected at least a GW in advance and two FTs are unlikely to be enough to replace rotated players even if we do get reliable team leaks for all the teams. I gained a point when I tried it.

      Get Havertz.

They'll have some title wobble at some point and will need goals...

Probably starting at Spurs in the 2pm game on Sunday.

Undoubtedly the game of the day but police advice could give Arsenal an edge over Man City there?

      1. tuvok
        • 7 Years

I'm leaning towards Havertz on WC too. He's in very good form, playing OOP as main striker for a very good team with everything to play for. And the fixtures are actually quite good (e.g. when do spurs keep clean sheets?)

Also on double arsenal defence (can bench them in 35, sell one in 37 maybe).

Watkins I find hard to fit in (but that's probably because I'm set on having KDB over Foden) are you planning on keeping til the end of the season?

          Raya
          Gabriel
          Saka

Close to getting White in gw30 wildcard

Could switch Saka up easily enough

PS: I'd avoid KDB in the league.

Could remove Gordon for KdB and get a Newcastle keeper but not sure who will play in goal for the double.for Newcastle

A chance to win 2 trophies. He’s adapted and introduced a lot of youth players to the team and he’s building something decent there

A team costing hundreds of millions and with a negative goal difference with 6 games left in the season. Yeah, hes done a decent job.

There's a Grand Canyon sized gap between winning the league and finishing 7th with under 60 points

It's a great way to watch.

      But I'm going all in.

Was in League 2 real football last night and grassroots games live.

But going for a fantasy night

      😉

Not sure on what WC team to go for, also should I get Havertz in? Will be BB in 37.

    A.
    Onana / Vicario
Gusto / Dalot / Gabriel / Burn / Vande Ven (or Van Hecke)
    Gordon / Son / KDB / Foden / Palmer
    Jackson / Haaland / Isak

    B.
    Onana / Vicario
    Schar / Gusto / Gvardiol / Gabriel / Porro
    Gordon / Son / Bruno / Foden / Palmer
    Jackson / Haaland / Isak

    Thanks

Of those B if all are fit but too many DGW35ers in both. I would be benching some of them this GW !

I didn't think it was -too- unlikely, just might have depended on the performance in the first game.

Fortunately it was a MOTM performance and a slightly early sub so probably upped the expectation for game #2.

Held the nerve in GW29 and ended up with 14 pts. Now on 106 with 8 to play incl Salah captain, Trent, Darwin, Mitchell, Eze, Mateta, Solanke and Pickford. With Haal and Palmer out, this had been a feast of a GW and tonight could push the team into rhe stratosphere

128 with 8 to play captained Havertz. But the cost of setting up for this was worst ever GW in 29 as after -8 had net 4 points inc Reguilon for a hit.

I've 3 of these so not so shabby... but Pickford? Overall the Toffees have done okay, but don't act like the guy hasn't let in a stream of goals randomly. He's not the asset he was in years past.
