A neck injury could keep John Terry from facing up to Papiss Cisse and company at the Bridge. Chico is a doubt for Swansea as they prepare to host the Hammers, who will be boosted by the fleet feet of new signing Matt Jarvis at the Liberty.

Wojciech Szczesny is a minor doubt for Arsenal’s battle at the Britannia. Sir Alex Ferguson primes Robin Van Persie for a start against Fulham, in the hope that he’ll provide the goals to compensate for the injuries at the back – despite press rumours, the United boss confirms that his array of crocked defenders remain sidelined.

        Im thinking Ade is definitely the longer term prospect but defoe in good form with WBA and NOR next two GW, but Ade is more likely to pick up the assists as well defoe is a score or nothing kind of player which makes the gamble that much sweeter when it comes off

            Wait till raf is fully fit then get him in maybe, or DDG, nice amount of clean sheets potentially ... potentially lol

    Right chaps. Any suggestions here? I've already done Allen to Michu so have no free transfers. I have a 22 point lead in my mini league so I could take a hi if I need to I suppose. Got 1.0 in the bank. I do want to get rid of Torres I think to try and get some United coverage in somehow but obviously would need to downgrade someone else to do it. I thought maybe Ivanovic to someone to free up the other 1.0 needed but I might do all of that next week. Here's my team for this week. Thoughts?

      So you'd need to take an 8 point hit to get some United cover in. It's not worth it this week. Wait till after this weekends game-you'll need to take half the hit and you'll have a much better idea who to get from United. It's mostly guess work at this point.

      IF you did do it this week I'd get in Rooney or RVP in and captain him. Only way to make the potential hit worth it IMO.

            Yeah but QPR were awful, as Granville said on the scoutcast, Swansea are never going to play a defence as open as that this season.
            Graham seemed to be doing all the dirty work to create space for the midfield, and he didnt even look dangerous himself.
            Their pre-season games were against rubbish teams, none of them close to PL standard at the moment.

              A fall from 5 to 2/3 goals would still be tasty wouldn't it? You can only play who you, well, play against. They look very fluid and the wingers have a new danger about them playing more centrally. Given Laudrup's previous attacking philosophy it looks like all signs point towards an abnormally high scoring budget team.

              I was worrying about Graham playing as the hold-up forward after the match, but at the same time cannot think their most advanced player will not turn out to be as consistent a goal threat as he was last season, especially as I expect them to score more goals.

    thoughts on Rafa starting this week lads?

    I think he will. Valencia is wasted at rb, he will more effective further forward, plus Nani was effing awful on Monday, Young isn't that good wide right. Plus Fulham aren't as big as Everton, and United will want to be more attacking.

      +1 Valencia is useless RB.. he's much more prolific as a winger.. And nani was Zero last time... But I've hesitated so much that I've chosen Vidic instead of Rafa.. Expensive but nailed on..
