Just the solitary Premier League fixture today, as Reading host Tottenham Hotspur with both sides looking for their first win of the campaign. The Dugout Discussion is open, and is the place to interact with your fellow fantasy managers as the events at the Madejski Stadium unfold. The team news is in, and here’s how the sides line-up…

Reading XI: McCarthy, Gunter, Gorkss, Pearce, Hartel, McCleary, Karacan, Leigertwood, McAnuff, Guthrie, Pogrebnyak.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Gallas, Vertonghen, Naughton, Sandro, Dembele, Lennon, Sigurdsson, Bale, Defoe.

It’s the men between the sticks that grab the headline team news, as Alex McCarthy replaces Adam Federici (injured) for the Royals, but Brad Friedel keeps Spurs’ new-signing Hugo Lloris at bay on the substitutes bench.

Elsewhere, Clint Dempsey and Emmanuel Adebayor are also on the visitors’ bench, and Kyle Naughton replaces Benoit Assou-Ekotto at left-back.

      Not unless he scores today. Defoe scored so unlikely to be dropped for Adebayor if he doesn't score. More annoying as he's had over 20 shots this season and only scored twice. Adebayor would be banging them in (you'd hope).

      Depends what he does here I suppose.

      But with so many rotations it's hard to get rid of everyone who doesn't perform every week.

      I've noticed a very short term attitude this year.

        The short-termism is partly driven by the frothiness of the transfer value market. Wait a week and you've lost money on the player, and the replacements have gone up 0.3M... It'll settle down as the season gets older...

      Yeah, has to be. Even if does something, he's not regularly involved enough or threatening enough to justify that big hitter mid spot (whereas so much attack goes through cazorla and hazard)

      RVP, Tevez, Graham. (0.4 bank)

      Want to get Berba for Graham but don’t have the funds for it so will have to take a hit. Is it worth it? Or should I get Lambert instead?

        You asked this before. The Cuellar injury + Zab not playing means you may want to look at your defense. Thus the hit solves two problems - either Cuellar to a rock bottom cheap defender, or Zab to someone gives you funds for Graham to Berba....

        Spurs are playing well but a better team would've been out of sight.
