Sunday Dugout Discussion – Gameweek 5

A huge day of Premier League action sees eight sides do battle, with the ‘Super Sunday’ billing fully justified. The Dugout Discussion opens in time for the first of two televised games – the small matter of Liverpool versus Manchester United.

Despite a lot of the pre-game media attention understandably focusing on events off the field, three points for either side here will be massive. Here’s how the sides line-up…

Liverpool XI:Ā Reina, Kelly, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Shelvey, Borini, Suarez, Sterling.

Man United XI:Ā Lindegaard, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Kagawa, Nani, van Persie.

Straight after the game at Anfield, we head over to the Etihad Stadium to see the other Manchester club host Arsenal.

In and amongst those two fixtures, Newcastle United welcome the visit of Norwich City, and Queens Park Rangers take the small journey to their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

          My point is as good as he is, he is not up to playing big minutes and can be a liability in defence, which is why doesn't start every game.

            well the scouting that teams do on him is, give him acres of space and extra man mark somewhere else...Everton did this and all other teams followed suit. He's harmless with his foot these days...unless he's tackling you...

          because Mancini knows that a team like Arsenal will redline a player like Tevez. He won't work harder this year to get and keep the ball. Do you really want to break a player like him at this point in the season?

      Time to ditch him. It's not knee-jerk; it's clear-cut in my view. Aguero's return creates a rotation issue + the alternatives are compelling and cheaper.
