David Moyes will give Leighton Baines “every chance” of making the trip to City after suffering a hamstring twinge in the 1-1 with Arsenal in midweek. Antonio Valencia remains sidelined for United ahead of their trip to Reading, Nani is ruled out for another month, though Nemanja Vidic could return for the midweek Champions League clash with Cluj.

Arsene Wenger will be without Laurent Koscielny, while Bacary Sagna is a major doubt head of the Swans’ visit. Theo Walcott’s ankle knock will be assessed although we expect him to figure – the winger was pictured training earlier today. Michael Laudrup’s side have been dealt a blow of their own, with the in-form Pablo Hernandez set to miss out with a muscle injury which could keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.

Andy Carroll is nursing a knee knock ahead of the early kick-off with Chelsea, who will turn up at Upton Park without John Terry, Frank Lampard and Daniel Sturridge.

Kieran Richardson will return for Fulham – Bryan Ruiz and Alex Kacaniklic remain on the sidelines but are expected to return to training next week. Tony Pulis remains hopeful that Peter Crouch will be able to play in the midlands derby with West Brom – the forward is seeing a specialist after losing a few of his teeth in the midweek win over Newcastle.

We’ve collected all this in our team news section and added our current predicted lineups for the weekend ahead. You can keep in touch with the very latest via our twitter feed as always.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Rumour is Carragher starts with Rodgers choosing to go with more of a 4-5-1 formation with the scouse legend leading the line in Suso's absence.

Read this on a liverpool forum so it's legit...was posted by a reliable 'In the know' poster called 'Prankster47'

He ended the post with a 'LMAO' and a 'ROFL' which is (according to my sources) code for 'I'm telling the f***ing truth'

    last 6 city vs everton matches. just to bear in mind for people considering benching fellaini. past performance not a relaible indicator of future performance blah blah blah, but shows everton are a bit of a bogey team for city nonetheless;

2012-01-31 Everton FC Manchester City 1-0
2011-09-24 Manchester City Everton FC 2-0
2011-05-07 Everton FC Manchester City 2-1
2010-12-20 Manchester City Everton FC 1-2

Yep, similar quandary to myself with Ba to Suarez and then needing cash.

      Agonising.

From what I see on Twitter, the lineup prediction with Enrique at LB is based on the bib theory. Rock solid then.

It's not farfetched, Enrique played at LB for a bit in the last match when he switched with Downing.

Something to think about is how little travelling Man U have to do between now and Jan 20th.
They are away to Reading this week then the only other game where they need to leave Manchester is away to Swansea as their other 2 away fixtures are City and Wigan. This could really benefit them over the Christmas period..... Just a thought..

Interesting to know. A lot of people don't realise just how many teams there are in the North West. So handy for them going to Bolton and Wigan etc the lack of travel should help but not much.

    Play Cameron or Nelsen?
    - Cameron has an away game, and they have 1 CS away this year.
    - Nelsen play Aston Villa at home

    Thoughts?

    S. Taylor to Jose Enrique for a free transfer...

Is it worth it? Enrique is playing out of position, right?

Am I right in thinking that Taylor's price won't change until they take the red injury flag off him?

      And yes, do it!

I am definately keeping Caz. Would only do it if I had 2 frees and desperately wanted to free up funds to bring in another big hitter.

Its almost guaranteed that Mata will start this weekend, so who will it be who drops to the bench? Oscar or Hazard? Anybody care to flip a coin?
