The weather may well be damp but our spirits should remain high as we look forward to a day that delivers no less than eight Premier League matches, including the early and evening live games. Postpone the last minute Christmas shopping until tomorrow morning, then, and turn thoughts to the Fantasy dilemmas of the day.     Defoe RVP Berbatov

    Thinking of playing Puncheon ( He's my current first sub), Have i made the right choice in fielding this team or is there a way i can get Puncheon playing

    Can’t really ignore the big hitters,Here’s my tiny analysis
    Walcott – Playing upfront against a weak Wigan side, would be desperate to prove himself as a Striker
    Mata – Worried he could be rested, but then, He’s been in a wonderful form, If he starts, he’ll definitely rack in points, else, he could be set for a 1 pointer
    Bale – Back from injury and up against a resilient Stoke defence
    Michu – Well, currently on top of Midfield rankings, So, we cant really bench him against a United side which has been leaking goals
    Berbatov – Currently the playmaker in a Fulham team without Ruiz ( 6 blanks in a row now worryingly )
    RVP – Well, its RVP
    Defoe- Against a disciplined Stoke side ( 8 clean sheets in 17 games and shipped more than one goal just twice this season ) Playing alongside Adebayor is not his strongest of strengths & I have Bale too

    I have a feeling Puncheon will do good this GW, Any thoughts lads?

      I'm thinking of shipping Defoe last minute. Wasn't too inspiring against Swansea and dont think he'll hold up too well against Stoke defence.

          To help you with your decision, you can only look at the facts. The facts are Spurs are home to a Stoke side who are infamously poor away from home (resilient yes but still poor).

          Fulham away against a much improved Liverpool side of late despite their recent set back with a point to prove. No Ruiz, barely any goals of late and Berba has had 7 blanks in a row..

          Saints are fantastic at home and Puncheon has been averaging nearly 7 points a game recently.

          Do the math really.

      You sure you want to captain Suarez? He's way too unreliable in my opinion, might fire blanks just as well as a brace against any opponent. Silva, Theo or the ever reliant Robin for me.

            Evs, as you've got AJ in your team I thought i'd ask you.. Would you play Sess over Taarabt this week? Stats are pretty similar but Sess has more shots in the box over the past 4gws. Really stuck on which one to bench. Cheers pal.

    Minutes per chance

    Minutes per chance created

    Ramirez – 41.6

    So we can see that Ramirez and Puncheon have a roughly equal likelihood of scoring, but Ramirez has greater assist potential, and, without Lallana may be on set-pieces.

      Puncheon has 5 FPL assists though. Those are the assists that really matter.

      The thing is the stats suggest that they have an equal likelihood of scoring but when you watch the two play it is quite patently obvious the difference in style of play and mentality.

      Ramirez is a class player but he is always looking to pass/skill his way through and is very reluctant to shoot from outside the box. Puncheon is not so classy but cuts in almost every time he gets the ball and shoots, and has had a very good amount of luck from the right wing this season.

      So I'm tempted to say that Puncheon is more likely to score in the game (the bit about set-pieces I doubt will happen, schneiderlin and puncheon will be on corners) and equally more likely to assist too.. just my two scents though.
